Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D coming this fall

Heroes was fucked by the writer's strike. Sylar was badass too. They rushed everything in season 2 and 3. Lame that they couldn't have just postponed it. But I digress....

Shield looks pretty interesting. It's going to be hard for people to get into the human element of the Marvel Universe. Now the main thing I am looking for is how the fuck Colson is alive after he was impaled by Loki's staff in The Avengers.

The first thing that caught my attention was Colson coming out and then to see that the series is by Joss Whedon only impresse me more, as he was the man behind the Avengers so atleast there should be the same continuity kept there, plus ive always been a huge fan of Whedon (Still love Firefly)...

I said at the first time of watching the Avengers that I bet Coulson wasn't dead. They never actually showed him die and there was the whole blood on the cards thing when he didn't even have the cards on him. Was just a way of bringing the team together. He'll just have a beast of a scar.

Can't wait for this to start though. Knowing that Whedon is doing it means that it'll be great. Don't think he's ever done a bad TV series.

Maybe I should watch the Avengers, Ironman, Thor, hulk etc films before watching this series.  Seems like they may be linked...

I would definatly recommend you watch the Avengers film whether this series was coming out or not... I imagine they will make it so that you don't have to have seen the film to like the series, but it would definatly be a plus if you had watched the films etc.

I am looking forward to Agents of SHIELD. I just hope that they explain Coulson without it being lame and ruining it for me.

This definitely feels unlike any other Joss Whedon show of the past... I love Whedon and all his shows, but it feels like ABC are trying to attract non Whedon fans with this and maybe curbing his usual style a little

When I saw that dude that "died" in the commerical or trailer, I just assumed the show was a prequel or at least took place before the Avengers movie.....I'm guessing its not?

If you watch the initial trailer, the guy says he know Agent Coulson died in the battle of New York... and then out walks Coulson... Battle of New York i.e. Avengers movie

Lol so he survived? I thought it was a kill shot for sure. Blood outta the mouth and all.....

When Loki stabbed Coulson he dropped and then he shot Loki. When Fury left him, the medics were working on him. They never showed him actually dying. Should be interesting to see how they say he survived.

So far so good. They have just enough references to the movies and the high profile heroes to make casual fans tune it and the show itself keeps the hardcores. I was surprised to see Nick Fury make a cameo. And is Coulson a robot/cyborg/zombie? I don't know but apparently he doesn't either.
