Royal Rumble (January 26th, 2014)

I haven't watched shows in a while, just clips of the shows afterwards but from what I can see the build to the Rumble has been fairly good.

30-Man Royal Rumble
I'm saying Daniel Bryan for the win. His rise/fall of 2013 seems to be leading to a Rumble/Mania redemption, so if they pull this off, I'll be very pleased.

WWE Title - Randy Orton (c) v John Cena
I'd say Orton but really this could go either way.

Big Show v Brock Lesnar
Lesnar.

Daniel Bryan v Bray Wyatt
Gotta go for Daniel, but Wyatt will look strong throughout.

Tag Titles - Rhodeses (c) v NAO
Maybe they are going to give NAO one final run to lead into the history-focused WrestleMania, so I'll go for them to take the titles and end the Rhodeses great reign.

Are we having a prediction contest for old times sake?

- Royal Rumble match: Batista. Final 4 will be Punk, Lesnar, Bryan and Batista.

- WWE Championship: Orton via pinfall

- Lesnar/Show: Lesnar via pinfall

- Wyatt/Bryan: Bryan via DQ

- Tag titles: Outlaws via pinfall

I do wish Lesnar and Show were in the Rumble match.  It seems a bit lacking in big names.  Hopefully Bryan's in it otherwise it's just Punk and Batista. 

As for winners, if he's in, I really hope Bryan wins, and faces Orton at Mania.  Gives they storyline some closure.  I can see Batista winning, but I don't want to see Batista vs. Orton.  I'd love for Punk to win too, but the rumours seem to be saying something else.

Firstly, where the hell is EoE???  It's Rumble time!

Rumble winner- Batista or Punk.  I'd like to see Punk win it, but Batista will, setting up an evolution match at Wrestlemania with Orton Vs Batista.  Wouldn't mind seeing Ambrose doing well. and maybe taking a win to make things a bit different.

Cena Vs Orton- Really hope its Orton, but both are pretty poor.

Show Vs Lesnar- Should be Lesnar, probably with interference.

Bryan Vs Bray- Like to see Bray win this, but the segs/matches I've seen have Bryan winning easily so this will probably be a major jobbing for Bray.

Rhodust Vs NAO- Dont really care.  Rhodust to retain.

Pretty shit show so far.  I've watched a few rumbles recently, but wont be getting this one.

Ugh if Batista wins that'll be so disappointing.

I don't mind Batista, I actually enjoy watching his matches (when he's with the right guy).  But I really don't think he should win the Rumble.  Batista vs. Orton isn't fresh, and the build won't be all that exciting.

Anything other than Dbry winning the rumble and facing Orton at mania would totally blow me away. I should know better because this is wrestling and WWE is known for doing stupid things. But I feel like that feud, that match, it's already been booked. Anything else would just not make sense or be as good.

It would be the first, non Cena vs Rock match to have 8 some odd months behind it. Really, Orton vs Dbry goes back to when Dbry was still with Kane and he beat him on Raw making Orton tap out with the singapore cane. Very exciting times at the moment for me.

I called it months ago and I still go with it - Bryan to win the Rumble. I'd be surprised if someone else won it.

Punk being first means he's likely to have a good run, which will probably be ended by someone he'll feud with going into Mania. Will be interesting to see who that will be. Probably be Reigns who will then go on to throw many other people out.

Since i really don't know what the deal is in pro wrestling anymore outside of when i just casually turn on raw like i did the other day i don't think i can predict this down to where they plan on taking storylines like i'm sure some of you guys have figured out so i'll just have fun and be snarky marky snakey.

I expect Batista with his skinny jeans and all to win the rumble or at least find a feuding partner near the end to feud with... he looks so silly with those skinny jeans i couldn't help but laugh at him monday.

I'm with the Daniel Bryan believers. From what little I've seen and more I've read, this is the way to go. Nothing else makes sense as a Wrestlmania Main Event. I do agree however, that recently the WWE does make very silly decisions.

I would think Bryan, but I could see a screw job giving Wyatt a cheap win and Bryan still winning the rumble.

I would personally love to see The Road Dogg Jessie James! The Bad Ass Billy Gunn! The NEW.....AGE....OUTLAWS!!! Win the titles, but it won't happen. Two words.

Word online seems to be that Batista will be winning. That'd suck. I'd much rather someone eliminated him and started a feud that way. There are guys that have been working their asses off all year that deserve to main event Wrestlemannia a lot more than Batista does. A lot more in fact.

I'd even rather see Roman Reigns win it than Batista. Batista doesn't need nor deserve the Rumble win.

Yeah, but who can you put with Orton that would be worth a WrestleMania main event? I wouldn't mind Lesnar, but even Bryan would feel like the same old at this point. Punk, maybe.

I'm sure Bryan v Orton would sell. Even if it is a repeat, it's the big 'un, the big pay off, the all or nothing for Bryan. He's the most over guy in the company. If they are that concerned about it being boring, they should have Lesnar beat Orton at Elimination Chamber, and have Bryan v Lesnar at Mania.

I'd like to see that at some point, but it looks like Lesnar is all tied up with Taker for Mania. I hope Sting can shake that up though, I'd much prefer to see Lesnar with Bryan or maybe Batista.

What a load of absolute bollocks. Bray Wyatt beats Daniel Bryan clean in what was a fantastic opener for the show... then not only does Bryan not win the Rumble, he doesn't even enter. What the fuck, WWE? Do you have no fucking concept of being over and making the fans happy? Complete bullshit.

And of course Shitista wins to give us another crappy WrestleMania main event. Fuck you, WWE. Fuck you.

Fucking JBL and Nash get wasted entries while Bryan showers. Can't even explain how disappointed I am.

I have seen them all (just about), and this is possibly the worst one ever. Even when Cena and others were winning the rumble, people actually WANTED them to win the rumble. More than even when Del Rio and Shamus won the rumble, the crowd was totally against a Batista win.

Poor Rey, when he came out, they booo'd him just for NOT being DB.

When Bryan didn't get 30, I just watched to see how far Reigns would get.

Reigns is a 'Rock' in the sense that his 'over-ness' isn't about his in-ring skill, but he just has 'something. Bryan, Punk, Wyatt, Ambrose & Reigns (and maybe Rollins, Cody and Ziggy) are the future. Stop with the 'old guys' coming back and ruining the pushes of the new guys.

One of the funniest endings to a Rumble I've seen. Fans going nuts because Daniel wasn't in the Rumble match. Booing Mysterio because he wasn't Daniel. Then between Reigns and Batista the fans cheer Reigns and for the first time that I can remember the winner gets booed to shit.

Even Mick Foley said something along the lines of, "Why wasn't Bryan in the Rumble? Never been so disgusted with a PPV."

I'm guessing they are building to Batista v Lesnar, which is a big-name main-event for them, but where does that leave Bryan? Wyatt's moved on to Cena, Batista has the title shot at WrestleMania... I can't think of any match where Bryan can be put over in a big way since he's clearly the most over guy in the biz right now.

The only possible thing that could be good is Bryan v Taker, but I don't see that happening either, not to mention both guys are faces so it wouldn't make sense anyway.

It seems whatever way you look at it, Bryan got majorly screwed and his WrestleMania this year will be a forgettable one.

If the reports I'm reading aren't exaggerating, all I can say is ouch.  I've heard Batista flipped off a fan after the show and did mock "Yes!" chants.

I hope they don't go for Batista vs. Orton.  We've seen it all before, there's nothing new, and it sounds like a heel vs. heel match.  Maybe Bryan can worm his way in somehow and we get a triple threat ala Mania 20.  That'd be cool.
