Unfortunately since your grandfather pays the rent as well and I'm assuming his name is on the lease? Even if both names were on the lease, he is entitled to have whoever he wants over. The police or courts can't do much about. If the lease was only in your GMoMs name and he had no paperwork claim to the residence, you could do something but that doesn't seem so.
It's really no different than if he brought in some kind of decoration for the living room or something that maybe your GMoM disapproves of. You can't get the police or courts involved. It just is what it is and it's between the two of them

Luckily this debacle isn't needed now as I've just found out my girlfriend and I are moving into our first apartment together within the next few days! I'm pretty excited, but must find a job, which in this day and age is easier said than done.

I say you and your grandmother should bury the hatchet with your father, unless he's done something terrible where you can't forgive him. Kin is very important in life I've learnt.

I agree, and I would like to one day, but personally I feel as if the time isn't right yet. Let's just say my father kicked me out of the house and had his 26 year old girlfriend (who is 4 years older than me mind you) lock the door on me. I haven't spoken to him since that day. However, it's a handful of other stuff as well that comes into play. Not to say I'm not thankful for what he HAS done for me, but kicking me out when I needed him really hurt. Hence why I've been living at my grandparents for the last six months.

I started this thread, only because I have a very odd question and am kinda wondering what the answer would be.
So my grandparents both live in the same house. They rent it from a friend of theirs. Now to make a long story short, I don't get along with my father anymore and neither does my grandmother. However, my grandfather and him and practically bff's. My father is thinking of trying and coming up next week and my grandmother (nor I honestly) want no part of him, but my grandfather says he can come up. My question is, who is actually right here? If both parties are split, one wanting the company and one not wanting the company, in a "legal" aspect, who is actually right on the matter?
