Wanted to contribute to the wrestling section, i don't know if this was posted anywhere i had a look around the forums but found nothing... anyways it's pretty entertaining just straight up shoots with many people from celebs to many wrestlers.

I enjoyed the 3 part interview with Kevin Nash... but Nash always has a story to tell.

I just love the Onnit ads. Oh hell yeah!

It's gone off the rails a little bit, too many interviews for my liking and not enough Steve being Steve. The best episode was a really early one when he was talking about showering for an hour.

I think his interviews with wrestlers are the best. It's a shame they do it over the phone because some of them have really crappy phone lines. That's why I think Cabana's can be better because he's there with the guest and they're not talking over each other. I don't mind the ones where Austin is talking about his day to day life, some of his stories are good and others are a bit crap. He spent 30 minutes on a recent one banging on about buying an RV. I've got it in my head that he's going to pop up and attempt stand-up comedy soon.

I love it when he talks about stupid things like buying an RV! That's the best Austin. The ones he did with Flair were dire, full of "are you kidding me?" and courtesy chuckles at Flair's terrible stories.

Austin's been on a decent run of guests for a while. But this weeks with the fans phoning in was terrible. It was a stream of petty whinging about Daniel Bryan not getting the belt and empty threatening that they're boycotting the WWE Network because Daniel Bryan hasn't got the belt. And when Austin kept asking them if they're going to stop watching, it was always "nearly", "I'm about to", "if things don't change I will". Then there was five people reiterating the same guff about comparing Austin & Punk's walkout.

Someone's spliced one of Austins podcast adverts with his famous King of the Ring speech. It's a cracker. http://youtu.be/EBsLiJvt_rc

I love listening to his interviews.  I listen to them on my iPod whilst on the bus on the way the work.  His ones with JR were great, and I really enjoyed the one with Jim Johnston.  It's the ones I don't know much about the interviewee I enjoy the most, I feel like I've learned something by the end.

Ross is right about the phone line issue.  I was listening to "Talk is Jericho" with Bret Hart, and Hitman's phone line was terrible!  Couldn't hear him at times.

Pretty much every show i listen to with callers like Austins show the Jim Rome show(american sports host) the callers are quite difficult to hear at times... sometimes i blame the line sometimes i think caller isn't speaking into the phone properly.

What are the best ones to listen to? I want to hear some interesting and funny stories about wrestlers I know about. Anyone got a lst of their favourites?

The macho mani-pedi is his best one, easily.

Roddy Piper now has a show too. Austin, Jericho, JR and now Piper. It's getting a bit much.

The interviews with the wrestlers are the best, but that's because I'm a wrestling fan. I listen to Talk is Jericho too, he had a very good interview with Edge and Chavo, both went to two parts. I wish one of these guys would find a way to get CM Punk on their show

His most recent episode (#100) has some epic stories about Rick Rude and one about his new training regimen. Hearing him talk about moaning and groaning in pain like he was getting the best blowjob ever had me stitches.

Other than that, his show is always fun. His comments about things 'not worth a flying shit', 'paying some bills up in this bitch' and 'drinking coffee for the working man' are as good as any catchphrase. I want him to have The Rock and Paul Heyman appear... He has so much history with them that the 2 hours would fly by.

Those Rick Rude stories are dreadful. He's told a bunch of them now and they're all crap. The 1st story was about Rude not helping clean fish. Mesmerising. The 2nd one was Rude put the wrong 7mm bullet into his gun so it wouldn't fire. Mental stuff. Then the story about smoking weed, cursing in the backseat and telling Austin off for using the lords name in vain. Classic Rude.

Still the best podcast out there though. I've heard a few of Jericho's but they leave me disappointed, I don't like his radio patter. Cornette's one is pretty good if you can deal with him phlegming up whilst talking at 100mph. I haven't bothered with J.R.'s one yet and I doubt I will. The problem with having all of these shows is they have the same guests on each one, telling the same stories.

http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/201 … s-podcast/

As noted earlier, the latest episode of The Steve Austin Show features Lita and is now online. During the episode, Austin talked about being at WrestleMania XXX this past Sunday. He noted that he was about to leave when he bumped into Kevin Dunn, who had some beers. Austin saw that The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar was up next, and he had to stay around and watch it in its entirety.

Austin admitted that the crowd was a little cold at the start of the match, but they finally "started buying into it." Austin then noted how the crowd went silent after Lesnar hit the third F5 and pinned 'Taker. Austin said that while he never wanted the streak to end, Lesnar is as credible a person to do it. Austin talked about Dunn calling for crowd shots, and that people could not believe that the streak was broken. He noted that the life was sucked out of the crowd, and people didn't know whether to "crap or wind their watch."

Austin noted that he didn't have any inside information if it was a case of Undertaker wanting the streak to end and pass the torch, or if it was simply a business decision. Austin said that he talked to both men before the match, and 'Taker actually agreed to do his podcast in a few weeks. Austin hopes to record the episode when he heads to Austin, TX in a few weeks if Undertaker is "in OK shape." He brought up the injuries 'Taker suffered, and noted that he hasn't heard any updates, but will ask around. Austin brought up Undertaker's size and how long he's been in the business, and hopes that 'Taker is OK.

Austin said he'd talk more about WrestleMania on the "Unleashed" show later this week.

Wow, that's pretty big!  Taker doesn't normally do these kinda things, so I'm really excited for this!

JR's one is really good because of who he is. The way he asks questions and then provides his insights into the discussion going on is something only he can do. The DDP and Jake Roberts podcasts are example of his brilliance.

His jokes can be hit or miss but that's probably down to the culture. I'm not really good with Southern American humour.

I heard him do the Lita interview and it was horrible. Like you said, I didn't get his jokes either. Lita was struggling because of these awkward pauses in the conversation. I think JR was having a go at flirting but it was so odd and sleazy, it just turned uncomfortable. Austins interview with Lita this week was so much better.

He excels with old timers and some recent retirees that 'get' him. You rightly call out the Lita one horrible, the same applies to the podcast episode with Trish Stratus. Based on those two, I'm guessing he's just weird around women who are/have been successful and are on a equal footing in terms of legacy in comparison with their male counterparts. Old school mentality maybe, I don't know. Austin in comparison, is much more accommodating.

A criticism that I didn't really care for but have come to agree with is the Skype connection they use to do these podcasts. Listening to the Jake Roberts episode of the JR podcast, Jake Roberts (who's voice is barely audible as it is) sounded pretty bad at the best of times. Most of these new podcasts should go down the Colt Cabana route, with face-to-face recordings.

Recommend Austin's podcast this week with Paul Heyman. It's one of the best he's ever done, Heyman was really in depth about his past, his present, his ideas and creativity behind ECW. And tomorrow's Unleashed show is part 2 of the interview.

They're all on iTunes Hilds!  Look for Steve Austin Show on the store and they all come up.  They're free too 🙂.

Cheers for the heads up Ross, this ought to be great 🙂.  I've been waiting for him to interview Heyman for ages!

The 2nd part of the Heyman interview is as good as the first. The Heyman Hustle stuff at the start is OK but the stories about the dying days of ECW are engrossing. Like how much money was owed by the PPV companies to ECW, trying to get a new TV distribution deal. How deep TNA's debts are, on the phone for Smackdown booking meetings & Vince's sneezing allergy.

What a missed opportunity Sting was on JR's podcast this week. JR spent the 50 minute conversation butting in to Sting's answers, answering his own questions, giving his own opinions and telling stories about the characters in Stings backstory. Then he tells the same story again in more detail. Didn't learn a single thing about Sting except Red Bastien fell asleep on the ring apron once and has a big dick. And those were both JR stories.

Yep, very condescending with his tone. Its like he's talking at you, rather than to you.
