I can't see it ever happening, but if you think about it, there's no reason to ban weed, any more than there is to ban alcohol or tobacco.

That's a better argument for banning alcohol than it is for legalising weed.

Shouldn't people be able to do what they want with their bodies?

They are. The problem is what they then do to other peoples' bodies.

Is that a second hand smoke argument?

Anyway, they should only legalise if they are gonna keep making that piff and not some watered down bullshit Ala Amsterdam. The weed in Amsterdam is much nicer and sprayed with less chemicals so it cleaner and less damaging. That's the best reason to legalise it.

No, I'm not that bad. It's more of a drink-driving argument.

Yeah, but if you go that way, then you really do have to ban alcohol. Besides, from personal experience, stoners are way less likely to drive when high, or have the bravado that a drunk does if they do. And then you can go all strawman with it. If driving while under the influence is the main reason for not legalizing it, then you need to ticket or arrest people who take prescription pills and drive, or smoke cigarettes and drive, or even drink coffee and drive. I know it sounds ridiculous, but if you've ever seen a caffeine addict behind the wheel after not having their morning cup, it's terrifying. Same with smokers jonesing for another cigarette, biting their bottom lip and banging their palms angrily on the dash while waiting for the light to turn green so they can pull into a gas station and buy a pack.

I've seen both of those firsthand, not to mention the pill poppers. It's pretty fucking scary, to be honest.

It will be made legal eventually in the states it's already been made legal in Colorado and Washington, and they are starting to work on decriminalizing it as well.

The american public are ready for it... something like 2 in every 3 say yes to it being legal.

I have noticed many people who are against pot are just people who hate smoking all together... it's a peaceful high, i enjoy it very much for anxiety and anti-social issues... it does wonders for me and overall i just enjoy it and i know when i don't need anymore.

Fucking A! I can't tell you how much a fat J helps chill me out after dealing with my daily bullshit. Anti weed people will take a few isolated incidences and make them seem like the norm and use that as their reasoning for keeping it illegal but everyone that I know who smokes has never gotten reckless, violent, or even the least bit dangerous. For me, I wait til everyone in the house is asleep and the wife and I will sit on the porch and smoke a bit. We go inside and have a couple hours of complete relaxation at the end of a long day. I have no interest to get behind the wheel of a car or be around people for that matter. I just want to chill and not be bothered. Why is that a bad thing?

The same could be said for pro-weed people who say alcohol is much more dangerous. "No one ever died from a weed overdose." Isolated incidents, ignoring how the vast majority can be responsible.

Should be legal, just would be scared of big companies putting addictive chemicals in it like they do with cigarettes! I don't smoke weed anymore, but that doesn't make me anti weed. People should be able to do what they want with their own bodies.

I actually recently decided that the weed I have left, is that last week i'm going to buy for myself. I've been pretty 'addicted' (quotes because I know it's a wanton addiction) for a couple of years, and with all my roomies smokers, it's become very routine.

But when I was in Florida for a week without it, I was fine, and not stressed, but maybe work is what makes me stressed, and work stress is why I smoke. Hmmm... Who knows.

Eitherway, anytime you're in NYC and want to smoke some bud, let me know budddddies.

Once a man would spend a week patiently waiting if he missed a stage coach, but now he rages if he misses the first section of a revolving door.
