Anyone remember this TV show? It was on Sky One about a football team called Harchester United. It's basically riddled with soap stars of today. I'm trying to find it, whether it's to stream online, DVDs, whatever... but I'm having absolutely no luck.

If anyone can find it (in any watchable format), then I'd love you forever.

Seems like someone asked last year on the Sky Help forum about this... and it said it had never been released on DVD and no plans for it to be released and also there are no current plans to re broadcast this, but advises the person to check out sky.com/nevermiss and can use that which will email if sky ever decide to re broadcast it

I remember watching it years ago and I just wanted to watch it to see if it's as good as I remembered it being... but I can't find it anywhere. The official website has clips but not full episodes (as far as I know) and I think I can find links to the last couple of seasons but not the older ones... you'd think a 10-series show would be available SOMEWHERE on the internet, but apparently not.

EDIT: Just saw your reply, Belly, thanks.

Almost God like? Maybe...

U can't get it.  I used to post on the forums there a fair bit as I was a big fan.  Some of the posters there sell DVD rips of VHS recording they made when the show was originally on, but other than that there wasn't anything really.

Every few years Sky 3 repeats a few episodes, but haven't seen anything for a while.  The problem is, the show isn't relevant any more as the players and teams they are talking about have moved on/got better/been/relegated.

One of the highlights of my life was 'meeting' Terry Kielly (Fletch).  Was on a Sunday morning at Raynes Park, when my Sunday footy team was playing football.  He was watching a game on a different pitch and I just stared at him...  Bare in mind I'm 6 foot tall, 14 and a half stone and have a shaved head... I just stood and stared.  A car pulled up next to the pitch and he was getting into it, he saw me staring, he nodded, mouthed "alright" and smiled.  Then got in the car and was driven away.  Made my knees go weak!!  I so wanted to walk up and say hello, but was so star struck.

I've had Billie Piper, Jeremy Clarkson, Jodie Kidd, the doctor from Deep Space 9, Greg Rusekski, Chris Evans, Sean Pertwee and loads of other famous people shop in the store I manage, and none have the star power of Fletch!

Jane Hewlett was offered a 2 year extension to continue Dream Team, but knew the quality was going so decided to end it.  I think the show died when Fletch was killed off (even tho they brought him back in the last series as a figment of Jason's imagination).

The show would work now, but would be difficult to produce.  It's expensive, and also repetitive.  But I loved the show, and would love it still if it was still on.

Was our one, but if the yank evans came into my store id still be more starstruck by fletch!

I never saw dreamteam as a soap, i love football and it was a show about football. Much like raw is actually a soap, but wrestling fans dont see it that way

Now you've done it! Dude, Raw is not a soap. It's sports entertainment. Now I have to go and find someone to punch to get my homophobic aggression out before Friday Night Smackdown so I can enjoy that shit! Lol!

But it wasn't really about football though. I liked the show but it was a drama based on a football team, it wasn't a TV show about football. It what I'm saying is making sense.

It was definitely about the drama more than the actual football, but the football was a big part of it...

I thought Dream Team was great, but I hated how it ended. My recollection is a little foggy, but I remember it involved Sully and the stadium being set alight and I know it ended on a huge open-ended cliffhanger that left more questions than answers which I think really sucked.

But overall, I thought the show was great. Fletch getting killed on the clothes peg was definitely one of the best moments from all the seasons.

I remember that guy went nuts and jumped off the stadium after playing a blinder. And when the Goalkeeper became the manager and went nuts as well. Or when that one guy came out as gay.

Connolly was the player that commited suicide off the stadium.

And the goalkeeper was Jaws. He was great.. and yeah, nuts. 😄

I think the gay guy was called Frank Stone, although I could be wrong, it was a long time ago.
