Never heard of any of those. Must be European type games
Yeah I haven't either.
How about:
Apples to Apples (Cards against Humanity if you're feeling dirty)
Monopoly
Scatagories
Battleship
MadGab
Cranium
Life
Clue
Risk

Game of Life was always my favourite. Get a job, get married, have kids, go bankrupt and become a millionaire in one board game. Was very addictive.

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
Game of Life is awesome. I always liked Clue as well. Monopoly is good if you get the right group to play. I dig Risk but it takes a week to finish a single game sometimes.
So.. If any of you actually board game consistently I have created a spreadsheet in Google docs to record boardgame results, and create a ranking system that will show this, we've played a total of six board games right now and we have a top 10 and what not.
If any of you are interested in joining, let me know, all I would need from you would be for you to tell me:
Date
Board Game Name
Who came in what place (scores if applicable).
And gmail accounts (if applicable).
The Gmail accounts are just so I can share the Google Doc with you guys.

If you like Risk, you'll like Small World, it's Risk as if it took place in Middle Earth.
If you like Monopoly you should like Settlers of Catan, but it is a totally different game.
Mike, as you said above, most of the games I play are European/German Style games, but i'm from NYC, so I know all the old school Hasbro / Milton Bradley Games.

Once a man would spend a week patiently waiting if he missed a stage coach, but now he rages if he misses the first section of a revolving door.
I play Catan alot, I even own Star Trek Catan! A couple of games we end up playing are:
Kittens in a Blender (card game)
Love Letter (card game that has nothing to do with love or letters)
Three Dragon Ante (card game)
Monopoly
House on Haunted Hill (board game)
Talisman (board game)
How is Talisman?
If you want to join my league let me know.

Yeah that Catan game was pretty good actually. Never heard of it and my friend brought it over. Even my girlfriend was playing with us and by the time we were done she was a cut throat mongrel and I think she won. Lotta fun that game

Talisman is epic! Especially because you can go for hours just playing around the begining ring of the game. Add in the expansions, especially Death, and you can play for days without a winner.
Got a chance to play Pandemic today, it's a pretty popular new board game.
I like it alot because it co-operative, you all play together against the board, It's a pretty cool story:
You are a group of people who are trying to stop 4 diseases from spreading around the earth, you have to cure each disease and eventually eradicate them. It's really good, really competitive. I've played it 3 times now, and the first two times everyone lost.
If you want example of game play you can see it here:

It's not to hard if you've played forbidden island before, and you have a GM. The GM makes sure that everyone gets their cards and the infections happen and the game moves pretty quickly.
I was playing again last night, and we lost due to 8 outbreaks... It was actually kind of funny because we cured 2 diseases, and I was the medic, so I could've just walked through those territories, (all were in america and south america) and then MOSCOW which was all by itself with 2 cubes on it, got drawn... It SUCKED.

Recently I've started a Board Game League with a couple of friends of mine, it's more-so just a log of all the games we play and I am putting together a spreadsheet to analyze win/loss stuff and set up averages so we can be ranked against each other. Any of you guys play board games?
Over the past weekend we've racked up 4 board game plays in, and I guess this is my introduction/ random stoner 3 AM rant about Board Games.
These are the Four Board Games we've Played:
Ticket To Ride : America
Smash Up!
Settlers of Catan (5-6 Player Edition)
and
Small World
Any of you guys play these games before?
