Ok, I will admit to being a bit selfish in match choices this week. Ren found the 2006 archives and I was really excited (well, as excited as you can be for an e-fed!) to see Carstein's first SF match (his actual first match was at Strung's Underground 3 against the Universal Invader, but alas that seems lost to history).
I also wanted to have the main event for Revival 5. I was on the booking team with Sery, chux and KG at that point, so I see Revival 5 as being "my" Revival, and that was "my" main event. I had to have it on there!

Carstein is so getting a push after this...
Carstein Vs Phoenix from 2006. I'm almost certain I wrote this, it definitely reads like a match I have written (altho shorter than I would normally do). I miss Phoenix. Wasn't he a mate of Cage? Hmm, might even have him on my fb page, so might send him a message and let him know his match is on the show...
Yawn, chuckles vs smoke. Was supposed to be vell vs smoke, which would have been a far better match... haha, nah, good match, and well written. The longevity of the chux character is amazing, when you think about it. He must have debuted around the same time as Cena, and chux has had a similar impact on 4CW as Cena has had on the WWE (all the adults hate cena and chux...)
Wolfbaine Vs Drake was an amazing match to read back in 2009, and I did get goosebumps reading it again today. After dropping the Uni title a month or so before this match I added a new finishing move to Drakes move set, the Grandslam (a 5-star frog splash) because winning the World title would mean completing the 4CW Grandslam (something Mr 4CW hasn't achieved...). I was so excited when I realised that the match writer had seen this and used the move as Drake's finisher. Can't remember who wrote it, but very pleased with the outcome. This was a better feeling than taking the Uni title off of chux over a year earlier...
- EDIT- Just seen your second post Carst. Kudos to Fish for a job well done with the Wolfbaine/Drake match.
Wow great finds. Smoke kills me. He's my friend that I begged to come try 4CW and he got a title shot for the 4CW Championship before I did. Just kills me. Thank god he didn't win or I'd never hear the end of it.

It would be pretty awesome to get Dave Phoenix back! He just seemed to vanish from 4CW, which is a pity. Uni and Custom Cup champ and did well in Sole Survivor. His future was bright!

Dave Penis was awesome. Haha. He was a kid when he first started but over time and working with a lot of more accomplished writers really helped him. He improved so much and had he stayed, he could have been the top guy. His character was good and it was fun working with him. If anyone knows where he is, they should contact him.
He's not on my fb, but I'm sure stalker Belly knows him...
That Drake v Wolfbaine match was great. Like I said in the other thread, Wolfbaine is my favourite 4CW wrestler and that could be pretty much the best match he was involved in. I remember reading it in 2009 and thinking it was just awesome - and it is still, so it stood the test of time. 😄

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!

Yea, Drake can carry anyone to a good match. He even made chux look reasonable once...
We open up to the From the Vault studio, with the pictures of 4CW’s biggest names on the wall, and the smiling James Roberts in the middle of the room.
Roberts: Hello everybody, I’m James Roberts and welcome to 4CW: From the Vault, the show that takes you back to the past to relive some of 4CW’s greatest moments and matches. So what have we got in store tonight?
To begin with, we have got the Storm Front debut match of one of our current wrestlers, Carstein, as he takes on former 4CW Universal Champion Dave Phoenix for a spot in the 2006 Sole Survivor Tournament.
And in the first of two World Heavyweight Championship matches, the legendary [chux] McCool, Mr. 4CW himself, takes on Smoke. In our second Championship match, we continue our Revival theme from last week by re-watching the main event of Revival 5, as World Champion Eddie Wolfbaine defends against Chris Drake.
So without any further ado, let’s check out the new and rookie Carstein going one on one with Dave Phoenix.
4CW Storm Front: 19th March, 2006
Sole Survivor Qualifying Match: Carstein vs. Dave Phoenix
Commentators: Scott Phoenix, Ray Jeffrey and James Roberts
Jeffrey: How's your boy gonna get on today then Scott?
Phoenix: …
Roberts: Last week Hardy and Deacon progressed to the competition proper, and now one of these two has a chance to move towards the number one contenders position for the Universal Title.
Phoenix: Let's get to Sarah Loveless in the ring…
Loveless: Introducing first, hailing from Camerov, England. He stands 6'2” and weighs in at 245lbs… DAVE PHOENIX!!!
Arena Fades to Black. The crowd explode with excitement as the Tron displays Dave Phoenix from walking through the backstage Area towards the ring. “Not Enough” by Our Lady Peace begins to play through the PA system, the slow guitar riff breaks into the drums and guitar.
Dressed and ready to fight, Phoenix makes his way up the back steps towards the arena area. The Phoenix fans wait, for the moment to come alive….
The songs Chorus kicks in and the bright lights illuminate the arena, flashing everywhere. Phoenix randomly dances through the curtain (Jeff Hardyesque). The crowds rush into a cheering frenzy for the Never-say-die Dave Phoenix.
He starts to move his way to the ring, signalling to the cheering fans in appreciation towards them. He slaps a few hands before climbing the ring steps. He climbs under the ropes and towards the turnbuckle. Just as the song breaks into the guitar solo, he climbs the turnbuckle and shoots both arms outwards from his sides in time with the music. Camera flashes flicker and reflect of Phoenix as he soaks up the electricity.
Loveless: And his opponent… being accompanied to the ring by Jordanna Drak and Sophia van Hal, hailing from parts unknown. He stands 5'8” tall and weighs in at 225lbs… CARSTEIN!!!
Everything goes dark and smoke fills the arena. Then “For Whom the Bell Tolls” by Metallica starts to drift through the speaker system. Carstein then appears on a little lift thing on the stage (ala Gangrel) with Sophia and Jordanna. They make their way to the ring, and the two girls climb up and sit on the ropes, holding them open for Carstein. Carstein raises his arms and smiles sadistically, revealing his fangs. The lights come back on and Carstein climbs into the ring. Sophia and Jordanna get off the ropes and stand on the outside, cheering their master on.
Phoenix: Dave Phoenix with a massive height and weight advantage here.
Roberts: You know what they say; a good big un will always beat a good little un…
Phoenix: Both these guys are in the ring, and we are ready to go here.
Both competitors stand toe to toe in the middle of the ring, eye balling each other, neither one wanting to give an inch. After a couple of seconds Carstein steps backwards nodding to himself, leaving Phoenix alone in the centre of the ring. Slowly Carstein starts to circle Phoenix, walking round the ring sizing up his opponent. Phoenix refuses to allow Carstein out of his sight for a second and turns on the spot in the centre of the ring. Carstein suddenly dives in for a collar and elbow tie up, which is met in kind by Phoenix. The two men struggle back and forth for a second or two before both break the hold and step away.
Roberts: These two men are sizing each other up here. Phoenix can't know too much about Carstein here, and that has to be a disadvantage…
Phoenix continues to dominate the centre of the ring, forcing Carstein to once more prowl the outer reaches or the mat. Again Phoenix does not allow Carstein out of his line of vision. For the second time Carstein jumps in for a collar and elbow tie up, again they struggle for a few seconds before Phoenix's superior strength show and Phoenix forces Carstein away, making the smaller man fall to the canvas. Carstein immediately gets back to his knees and stares a hole in Phoenix from the corner of the ring.
Phoenix: Carstein will need to rethink his strategy here. Dave Phoenix is one big strong son of a gun!
Jeffrey: You're only saying that 'cause he's your son…
In the centre of the ring Phoenix nods and smiles, knowing he has the upper hand, the crowd boos him, not liking the route this match is taking. Carstein once more gets to his feet and once more begins walking the edge of the ring, circling Dave Phoenix. This time Phoenix makes the first move. Going for the collar and elbow tie up, but ducking at the last second to score a low blow on Carstein, just out of the referee's line of sight. As Carstein doubles up Phoenix darts around to the back of his opponent and sends a clubbing forearm into his spine, felling the smaller man. Phoenix follows up with stiff stomps to Carstein's spine, keeping him on the canvas.
Roberts: Nice quick moves there from Dave Phoenix, his power and quickness will be the key for him tonight.
Phoenix reaches down and grabs Carstein's head, helping his opponent to his feet, before scooping him up in the air and slamming Carstein back down to the mat again. Once more Dave Phoenix walks away from his opponent grinning to the crowd.
Phoenix: Dave Phoenix really should concentrate on his opponent here. If he gets a chance to put him away he should take it.
Behind Phoenix, Carstein regains his feet and stalks up to his opponent. Hearing the crowd suddenly pop Phoenix spins around, straight into a clubbing right hander from Carstein. Then a second and a third punch reins in on Phoenix's head, sending the larger athlete back towards the turnbuckle. Carstein continues to beat away at Phoenix in the corner of the ring, shaking the bigger man. Carstein grips Phoenix's wrist and begins to irish whip him towards the opposite corner, Phoenix, using his extra weight advantage, reverses the whip and it is Carstein making the journey towards the opposite turnbuckle where he crashes into it back first. Phoenix begins storming towards Carstein, looking to spear him where he stands. As Phoenix races towards his target Carstein moves at the last possible second, sending Phoenix shoulder first into the steel ring post.
Phoenix: Quick thinking there from Carstein to counter Phoenix's offence.
Phoenix staggers away from the corner of the ring and walks into a big clothesline from Carstein, sending Phoenix to the canvas, Carstein drops and covers, quickly hooking the leg.
1…
2.. No! Very strong kick out from Phoenix as he lifts Carstein into the air.
Phoenix: Great strength there from Dave Phoenix.
Phoenix sits up, but Carstein is already on his feet and rushing towards his prey. Carstein puts the big boot into Phoenix's face and quickly follows up with an elbow drop, then a second elbow drop, before dragging the sole of his boot across Phoenix's eyes causing the bigger man to clutch at his eye sockets and roll away in pain.
Roberts: A rake to the eyes there, but Carstein used his boot…
Phoenix stumbles back to his feet, leaning against the ropes attempting to catch his second wind. Carstein sees this and rushes towards his, clotheslining his opponent over the top rope and out of the ring. In the ring Carstein raises his arms in the air, celebrating victory.
Phoenix groggily clambers to his feet and rolls into the ring. He rushes towards Carstein, who has his back to the advancing Phoenix, but the smaller man hears Phoenix approach and drops to his knees, leaving only the ringpost for Phoenix to rush into. Phoenix collides with the ring post with great force and crumples to the mat.
Roberts: Mistake from Phoenix there, surely this match is Carstein's now! All he has to do is cover and the result is his!
Carstein looks down at Phoenix and moves to cover him, then looks out at the crowd, seemingly unsure of his next move. Phoenix remains motionless on the mat.
Phoenix: Carstein seems to be confused here. All he has to do is pin Phoenix and that should be it!
Carstein moves towards Phoenix again, this time dropping onto his chest and pinning him. The referee checks Dave Phoenix's shoulders and starts to count…
1…
2.. Phoenix shoots his shoulder up from the mat.
Phoenix: Yes!...
Roberts: Carstein wasted too much time there!
Carstein slaps the mat in disgust at himself, but has little time to regret his indecision as Dave Phoenix grabs Carstein's legs and reverses the pin to one of his own by sliding Carstein over his body. The referee immediately starts to count the attempt.
1…
2.. Kick out!!
Roberts: Carstein just managing to get his shoulder up then!
Now it is Phoenix who slaps the mat, knowing how close he came to a win. Carstein rolls away from his opponent and climbs back to his feet, then stares across the ring at Dave Phoenix who is also back to his vertical base. Phoenix moves towards Carstein, a new look of determination glowing in his eyes, Carstein moves towards Phoenix, meeting him in the centre of the ring. Phoenix swings a haymaker of a punch towards Carstein, Carstein ducks then send a kick to the midsection of Phoenix, causing the larger man to double up. Carstein links both his arms under Phoenix's and positions him for a double arm DDT.
Phoenix: BLOOD DRINKER!! COUNTER IT DAVEY!!
Carstein jumps backwards with the move, before driving Phoenix into the mat, head first.
Roberts: That's it!! It's gotta be over!!
Carstein rolls Phoenix over and drapes his arm across Phoenix's chest before pulling and hooking his leg. The referee checks the shoulders and begins the count.

3!!!
“For Whom the Bell Tolls” by Metallica plays through the speakers again, signaling the victory for Carstein. Sarah Loveless reenters the ring, microphone in hand.
Loveless: And the winner of this match, qualifying for the Sole Survivor tournament… CARSTEIN!!!
Phoenix: What a shocker! Carstein, the newcomer taking out Dave Phoenix, the former Universal champion!
Roberts: Dave Phoenix never seemed to show up for this match, but I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him!
We’re back with Roberts in the studio.
Roberts: I was at ring side for the match, and boy I can tell you, it was a surprise seeing Dave Phoenix, a former Universal Champion, lose like that. Nevertheless, he did manage to get into the Sole Survivor Tournament that year, and got some revenge on Carstein by eliminating him from the tournament in the last round before the final.
Let’s go further back, to see one of the biggest and greatest names in 4CW history, the Hall of Famer and four time World Heavyweight Champion, [chux] McCool defend his belt against Smoke. However, this wasn’t how the match should’ve been…. Intrigued? Let’s take a look!
4CW Storm Front: 5th September, 2004
4CW World Heavyweight Championship: [chux] vs. Smoke
Commentators: Scott Phoenix, Ray Jeffrey and Tyler Smith
Phoenix: Our next match is a rematch from War, Smoke and Vell. These two burned the place down once already, and are set to do it again.
Loveless: Our next match is set for one fall. Introducin first, SMOKE!!!
"Red" by Chevell plays throughout the arena, as pyro shoots out from the stage. Smoke walks onto the stage, as fire explodes behind him. He walks down to the ring, climbs in, and waits for his opponent.
Loveless: And his opponent, VELL!!!
"Blind" by Korn plays, but Vell does not come out.
Phoenix: I have just recieved word that something has happened backstage. We have a camera there now.
The camera cut to the backstage area, where Vell is lying on the ground, a puddle of blood is near his head. As the refs attend to him,[chux] walks by, and see's if he is ok.
[chux]: Vell. Who did this to you?
Vell: Don't know. Got jumped from behind. I have a good idea of who did.
Ref: Vell. Your in not condition to wrestle.
Vell looks at [chux], and [chux] nods, and heads towards the ring.
Jeffrey: No. He is not comming out here.
"OHHHHH YEAH!!!!!!"
Phoenix: I think he is!
"Live for the Moment" plays as [chux] walks out onto the stage, and pushes his arms out to his sides, as pyro shoot out from the stage. He walks down to the ring, sliding under the bottom rope, the 4CW Heavyweight Title in his hand. Smoke grabs a mic off of Loveless and begins to speak.
Loveless: And introducing the 4CW World Hevyweight Champion, [CHUX]!!!!
Smoke: Hold on a sec. I did not sign up with a match against you. Though the thought of being World Champion sounds real good. Put the title on the line, and you got yourself a match.
[chux] nods his head yes.
Phoenix: Holy Hell! A world title match! What a surprise.
Jeffrey: Good! Maybe we will see a new world champ!
[chux] hands the title to the ref, who holds it up high, then hands it over to the timekeeper, and calls for the bell.
[chux] and Smoke run towards each other, locking up in a collar and elbow tieup. Smoke gains the early advantage, as he locks [chux] in headlock, he grabs [chux]'s arm, and spins behind him, and wraps his arms around [chux]'s waist, and goes for a German suplex, but [chux] blocks it, elbowing Smoke in the head, and turns around, he places one foot on the leg of Smoke, and jumps up with the other, hitting Smoke in the head with a enzaguri. Down on one knee, Smoke holds his head, as [chux] bounces off the ropes, and dropkicks Smoke right in the face, sending him backwards onto his back. [chux] then runs to the ropes near Smoke, and spingboards off them, turning in mid air with a leg drop to the throat of Smoke. [chux] rolls over for the cover.

2
Kick Out!!!
[chux] picks Smoke up, and drags him over to the corner and whips him into the opposite corner. [chux] runs full blast to the corner just as Smoke runs out. [chux] attempts a closeline, but Smoke ducks it, and spins [chux] around, kicking him in the gut, and picks him up for a fisherman's suplex, falling backwards, with the leg still hooked, turning it into a pin.
1
2
Kick Out!!!
Smith: What a Perfect suplex by Smoke!
Smoke gets to his feet, and waits for [chux] to do the same. As [chux] gets to his feet, Smoke picks him up in a firemans carry position.
Phoenix: Smoke is going for the Smoke Screen!
Smoke holds [chux] for a few seconds, then falls to his side with the move.
Jeffrey: He hit it! New champ! New Champ!
Smoke goes for the cover.
1
2
Kick Out!
Smoke, in shock that [chux] kicked out, picks him up for a powerbomb.
Smith: The Smoke Bomb?! Smoke is trying to destroy [chux]!
Smoke picks [chux] up holding him high in the air, but he takes too much time as [chux] falls behind Smoke, grabing his legs, for a sunset flip into a pin.
1
2
Kick Out!
Smoke just kicks out, as [chux] gets up, and drags him towards the corner. He climbs the top rope, and jumps off with a shooting star press, but Smoke gets his knees up, hitting [chux] in the ribs. [chux] howles in pain, as he holds his ribs in pain.
Smith: Smoke has agravated the injury that [chux] got at War. And it looks like he is going to use that to his advantage.
Jeffey: No shit? I thought he would just let [chux] slide by. Jackass!
[chux] is on all fours, gasping for air, when Smoke kicks [chux] in the mid section, further damaging the ribs. He waits for [chux] to get up, and grabs him around the waist, and hits [chux] with a spin-out sidewalk slam, holding onto [chux] leg for the pin.
1
2
3-No!
Phoenix: [chux] just kicked out of that sidewalk slam. Could this be the end of [chux]'s title reign?
Jeffrey: Yes!
Smoke picks [chux] up, and drags him over to the corner. Smoke picks [chux] up, and sits him on the top turnbuckle. He climbs up with him, standing on the second rope, and places [chux] on his shoulders, preparing for the Somke Screen.
Phoenix: God no! He's gonna break [chux] in two!
Jeffrey: Do it! Do it now!
Smoke jumps off the second rope, and connects with the Smoke Screen. He covers [chux] for the pin.
1
2
Jeffrey: New Champion!
3..Kick Out!!!
Jeffrey: What!? No!
Smoke, irate that he did not win, grabs [chux], and positions him for the Smoke Bomb. He lifts [chux] in the air, and throws him down hard to the mat, and goes for the cover.
1
2
3-No!!
Jeffrey: Damnit! Why won't he die?!
Smoke smacks the mat in frustration. then gets in the ref's face, yelling at him about the count.
Phoenix: Smoke is wasting time, he should get on [chux] while he is still down.
Smith: Too late!
[chux] has made it to his feet, and grabs Smoke from behind, picking him for a belly to back suplex, turning Smoke in mid air, going into a sid down powerbomb.
Phoenix: Jimmy Bomb!
[chux] slowly gets up, still a little dazed. He grabs the right leg of Smoke, droping a elbow onto it, then renching it backwards. He gets up, and drops another elbow onto the right leg of Smoke. [chux] picks Smoke up, throwing him towards the ropes. On the return, [chux] slides under the legs of Smoke, delivering a kick to the back of the right leg, sending Smoke to the mat. [chux] goes to the legs of Smoke, and locks on the Edgecator, a reverse sharpshooter.
Phoenix: Smoke is locked in a painful submission. Can he escape?
Smoke inches towards the ropes, trying to grab ahold of them. Just as he is about to reach the ropes, [chux] breaks the hold, dragging Smoke to the middle of the ring, locking in the Ankle lock. [chux] falls to the mat, locking his legs around Smoke's body.
Smith: Ankle lock by [chux]! And Smoke can't go anywhere.
Smoke tries to move, reaching his arms out, trying to get closer to the ropes, but he can't reach them, and taps out.
Phoenix: Smoke has just tapped out! [chux] retains his title!
Loveless: Here is your winner, and still 4CW World Champion, [CHUX]!!!
The ref hands [chux] the Hevyweight title, and he climbs the turnbuckle, and holds the title up to the crowd.
Smith: [chux] celebrates after a hard victo-
Phoenix: What the hell?! Smoke is attacking [chux]!
Just as [chux] has gotten off the turnbuckle, Smoke closelines him hard, sending [chux] to the mat, his head bouncing off the mat. Smoke picks up the 4CW Hevyweight title, and waits for [chux] to get up.
Phoenix: He's gonna hit [chux] with the title!
Jeffrey: Figure that out all by yourself?
Just as Smoke is about to hit [chux] with the title, the crowd starts screaming.
Jeffrey: See, the crowd wants to see this too!
Smith: I think they are screaming for him.
Smith points to Vell, who is comming through the crowd, blood still visable on his face. He slides under the bottom rope, and turns Smoke around, laying into him with a flurry of punches. As the inch towards the ropes, Vell punches Smoke a few more times, then closelines him over the top rope, sending him to the outside.
Phoenix: Vell makes the save for [chux], who would have been knocked out for sure.
Vell helps [chux] up, and hands him the 4CW Hevyweight title. Vell grabs [chux]'s arm, and raises it up in the air, as "Live For the Moment" plays.
Phoenix: Vell and [chux] celebrate after a hard fought victory for [chux]. And it looks like Vell and Smoke are far from finished.
Roberts: There was a huge buzz amonst 4CW fans for our final match. Fan favourite Eddie Wolfbaine had won the World Championship in the Thirteen Ghosts Gauntlet at Gallows End 2008, and going into 2009, a rival to his reign had emerged in the form of Chris Drake. Chris Drake had never lost a championship match where he was challenging for the first time. Was it Drake's fate to also become World Champion on his first try?
4CW ReviVal: 18th April, 2009
4CW World Heavyweight Championship Match: Eddie Wolfbaine vs. Chris Drake
Commentators: James Roberts & Ray Jeffrey
The lights begin to flicker and strobe, the crowd starts to talk excitedly between themselves. Then the lights die and the crowd is silent. A few seconds pass as the audience anxiously waits to see which superstar is here.
“Stricken” by Disturbed starts to hammer through the PA system after several seconds of thick, white smoke covering the stage. The former Universal Champion, Chris Drake, appears at the top of the ramp with a light illuminating the entire stage and hurting everyone's eyes from such brightness. The crowd lets out a deafening chorus of boos and hisses as he makes his way out to the ring and almost seems to be drifting on the thick cloud of smoke that resides from his knee and below. Right then, Chris stops mid-way down the ramp and looks down. He suddenly raises one solitary arm up in the air just as 6 big-time fireworks go off from the right side to the left side of the stage in an array of different colors, going from one side to the other numerous times and really getting loud at the same time as Drake goes wild while the go off and he motions for the 4CW World Title to be added to his waist along with his great physique. He smiles and takes in every little boo he hears and uses it as food, as energy for him to want to win this match and dissappoint every 4CW fan here tonight by doing what he feels is deserved to him, and has been for a very long time...
Loveless: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following bout is scheduled for one fall is is for the 4CW Heavyweight Championship...of the WORLD! Introducing first, the challenger...he hails from London, England and weighs in at Two-Hundred Thirty Pounds...Chris...Drake!!!
He stands there; staring intently into the ring, looking naked without the large golden Universal Championship he held for over a year, then begins moving towards the squared circle. More noise emanates from the crowd, louder this time, but Drake just ignores these and continues on, towards his goal. He shuns the outstretched, reaching hands of the crowd and carries on to the bottom of the ramp, once there he bows his head as several pyrotechnics explode behind him, illuminating the entire arena. Drake rushes the final few feet and slides under the bottom rope of the ring to wait for his opponent.
“I will break into your thoughts…
With what’s written on my heart…
I will break!..”
“I’m So Sick” by Flyleaf kicks in after the beginning lyrics as the lights all dim out, but not completely. The stage and ringside area are soon darkened out before one red ray-looking spotlight flickering on the stage. A beating heart is seen on the 4CW-tron with a piece of athletic tape on it reading “DRAKE” in a royal blue marker tint. Suddenly, the heart explodes to pieces as it eventually beats faster and faster and gains blood pressure. Sparks fall from the bottom of the 4CW-tron, turning all of those sparks red and acting like the blood of Drake falling down. Soon enough, Eddie Wolfbaine waltzes out on stage, allowing the sparks to fall on him like a shower as he holds his arms out and shows off the 4CW Heavyweight Title on his shoulder!
He screams out and shows appreciation to the fans as they all yell right back at him, expecting for him to win as they are behind him all the way. The crowd on the walkway is given a real treat as Eddie gives attention to every single person holding out their hands, making it a real feeding frenzy on his long entrance, periodically stopping on the ramp way to stare down the awaiting Chris Drake in the ring. The spotlight follows Eddie all around as he goes up the steps very formally and removes his belt soon enough, ready to get this match under way.
Loveless: And making his way to the ring, he is the 4CW Heavyweight Champion of the World...hailing from Detroit, Michigan, and fighting out of Maracaibo, Venezuela...Eddie...Wolfbaine!!!
The crowd goes wild for their Champion being announced as he takes his title off his shoulder and shows it off to the fans...getting even more of a pop!
Jeffery: Alright! Here…We…Go! Let’s get this bad boy underway!
Roberts: You said, alright! I can’t wait.
Eddie Wolfbaine hands his title over to the referee as he folds up the straps behind the illustrious gold shining in the ref’s face as he stares into it with awe. He moves over to Chris Drake, who keeps light on his feet the whole time, and showing him the title. Drake looks into the belt and stares at the one 4CW Title that has eluded him in his rather short career considering where he is now. He looks at it as if it is already his before glaring back at Eddie Wolfbaine with the most obvious and intense hatred possible.
The two evenly weighted wrestlers move into the middle of the ring and go nose-to-nose immediately. Drake and Wolfbaine talk trash uncontrollably to each other, more than ready to throw down for this epic battle of a Revival Main Event! The referee comes between the two gladiators and splits them apart while signaling to the ring announcer that its officially time to begin. The bell rings and the ref gets out of the way while the champion and challenger lock-up from where they stand, meeting in the middle. The crowd lets out a huge pop and all stand up to see who will get the upper hand in the first confrontation.
Roberts: This is one of the biggest matches in 4CW History! I can’t believe I’m here and watching this LIVE!
Jeffery: I can’t either. Considering the economy of the world, I’m surprised you still have a job.
Roberts: Hey!
Jeffery: I only speak the truth Most companies only have two commentators anyway. Obviously Scott and I are the aces here.
Phoenix (sarcastically): Obviously. Pfft…Let’s get back to this gargantuan of a match though, who’s gonna get the first lick in?
Just then, Chris Drake goes in to clock Eddie with a cheap right handed shot, but the champion ducks it and is able to get behind Chris out of nowhere! The 4CW Champion holds in a tight waistlock on the former Custom and Universal Champion, not allowing him to squirm out as Drake intensely tries to push Eddie’s deathlock down and break free from it. Eddie instead quickly is able to bring him down to the mat and mount on top of his back. Drake tries to fight his way out, but only makes matters worse by turning over and giving his arch nemesis his face! Wolfbaine unloads, giving Drake just a ton of punches to the face, trading off on lefts and rights and not making any kind of recognizable pattern. The referee counts to four as Wolfbaine needs to let him up from the illegal closed fist punches. Eddie decides to keep this battle clean for the time being as he lets up and picks Chris up to his feet by his head.
He sticks him in a head scissors and underhooks one arm, but is suddenly reversed by a big back body drop! Chris runs into the ropes and follows up with a rough elbow across the sternum with big momentum. Drake then goes right for the champion’s leg and tries to wrap it up in his Check Out ankle lock submission…but, the smart Wolfbaine uses his ring awareness to grab the bottom rope and simultaneously use it to turn over and use his free leg to kick Drake directly in the chest, sending him on the canvas and landing right in the middle.
Phoenix: What a great reversal by Eddie Wolfbaine! That’s why he’s our champion…he can survive most anything thrown at him…
Roberts: You’re right. He’s the elite of the company right now, and I’m glad to be able to say that.
Jeffery: Oh, get your head outta your ass, James. You know that Chris Drake is by far overdue to win the 4CW Grand Slam Championship by winning here tonight. Its gonna happen.
Phoenix: Not if Eddie can keep denying him like that, he won’t!
Jeffery: *humph* *sigh*
Eddie picks up a hurting Chris Drake and drags him over to the corner, sitting him up on the top rope. He then grabs his left arm and rips him off with a big time hip toss from the middle rope, crushing the challenger’s back in the process! Wolfbaine moves over and goes for the pinfall…

Drake gets a shoulder up rather easily.
Roberts: Wow, a resilient man he is. Most guys would’ve taken the extra second to rest, but not Drake.
Phoenix: He’s so vain!
Jeffery: Yeah, right! That would make him look like such an asshole.
Wolfbaine, the single most dominating force in 4CW today, picks up his premier challenger up by the head all over again, trying to capitalize on him even more so now. He hooks him in by the head for a DDT…but suddenly, Drake lifts him up in a huge Northern Lights Suplex, holding in the bridge for the pinfall attempt…

Nope! Eddie breaks free just in the nick of time while trying to wiggle out the entire time.
Both Two Hundred Thirty pound men pop up to their feet completely energized. They lock-up all over again and the crowd pops in a deafening tone, showing appreciation and feeling like this match is staring all over again here and now! Drake sneaks in a rough knee to the mid-section of Wolfbaine while in the lock-up. He then grabs him up and tosses his arm over his shoulder before slamming him down with a magnificent Snap Suplex, landing him near a corner. Drake kips right up as he moves over to the apron through the middle rope, calmer than ever. He then springboards back into the ring, landing sideways and catching Eddie with a nasty looking elbow right across the sternum. Wofbaine rolls around a couple of times in utter pain, holding his chest. Drake picks him up to his feet, but Eddie tries to break free by standing up quickly. Drake instead has other plans as he backs up smartly and uses Eddie’s own knee as he gets up from a kneeling position, climbing up his knee and landing him across the jaw with his other Shining Wizard knee attack. Blood flies out of Eddie Wolfbaine’s mouth instantly on the way down to the mat as Chris Drake shows complete satisfaction with his performance tonight and shows that by taunting the crowd post-move while the unconscious Eddie Wolfbaine is tended to by the referee.
Jeffery: Damn! I’ve never seen a more perfectly executed run of moves in a row on anyone, much less the World Champion of 4CW!
Roberts: Wow! You’re right; I can’t take anything away from Chris Drake there. He personifies the word ’precision’ in 4CW currently.
The possible first Grand Slam Champion of 4CW then walks gingerly over to the fallen champion and uses his foot to turn him over on his back before stomping on him on one foot and posing, flexing his muscles for everyone while making the referee make the count…

3...No! Wolfbaine fights his shoulder up just in time, even with the very cocky and light pinfall attempt.
Chris Drake smiles from ear to ear as the champion kicks out. He holds his arms way out and shows off the crowd, telling them…actually screaming to them that their hero, their dominant hero has been reduced to nothing by the great Goateed Gambini, Chris Drake. The crowd lets loose with a chorus of boos directed at Drake as Eddie Wolfbaine is shown slowly fighting his way to his feet, almost in a woman’s push-up position and struggling. Drake’s attention soon turns back to the match and he helps up Eddie the rest of the way, standing him up in the middle of the ring. The Champion stands there very dazed and seemingly out of it while still standing. Drake moves over to the ropes and comes bouncing off of them, but before he can even gain speed Eddie Wolfbaine just falls forward and only has to take one step forward to land an out of control Hammerspace Lariat! Drake is whiped out and nearly decapitated by the champion as he stands right up and lets out a primal roar to the crowd, letting them know that he is back! The undying fans of 4CW let a great welcoming wave of cheers go, pretty much shaking the foundations of the building!
Jeffery: Man! I would’ve never expected Eddie to come back like that. I can’t believe he’s still alive.
Roberts: I know, you’d be dead after just one of those.
Jeffery: Shut up, so would you, jackass!
Phoenix: Haha, it’s true!
Jeffery and Roberts: Shut up, so would you…jackass!
Phoenix, Jeffery, Roberts: *hysterically laughing*
Eddie Wolfbaine picks up Chris Drake to his feet slowly, damn near at deadweight. Suddenly, Drake breaks free, showing that that quick rest during Wolfbaine’s showing off paid off as he backs up and makes a ton of room between them out of the blue and moves in, nailing Eddie right in the chin with his Ice Breaker Superkick! Wolfbaine falls like a sack of potatoes and Drake falls down in sync with the move and hooks a leg as the front row lets out a big “OOOOOOO!!” and everyone is up out of their seats as Drake is on top of Wolfbaine after hitting his most famous and debilitating move he can do…

No! Wolfbaine fights his shoulder up suddenly, coughing up some blood at the same time.
The blood now rolls out of the side of the Champion’s mouth as the challenger can’t believe that he just kicked out of the move, neither can the crowd! Chris soon stands up and walks around the fallen Wolfbaine. Drake smiles at him and motions for him to wipe his mouth of the blood he caused. Drake kicks at and nudges him as he fights his way up to his feet via the ropes. As he gets on both knees, the merciless challenger uses his boot to push Wolfbaine down to the mat hard and make him use all of his energy to fight all the way back up there and eventually to his feet again.
Phoenix: I’ll tell ya, Chris Drake is one sadistic son of a bitch. He makes Wolfbaine use all of the energy meant for the match to get his way up…that sick bastard.
Jeffery: Hey, calm down there Scott. It’s just a tactic for late-match desperation.
Roberts: So, you admit that Drake is desperate and doesn’t know what to do to put away Eddie Wolfbaine once and for all?
Jeffery: Now, I didn’t say that. Drake always wins, you twit.
Just as Eddie is getting to his feet finally and he wipes his face of the blood coming out of the right side of his mouth, Chris Drake moves in for another Ice Breaker Superkick. Suddenly, Eddie is able to grab a hold of Drake’s leg while holding onto the rope still with one arm and whip him down to the mat. Just as fast as he did that, Eddie grabs up Drake’s other leg and turns him over into his Dragon Tail submission! Drake lets out a very loud scream of excruciating pain as seen in his clinching eyes and wrinkling face. Eddie smiles now as the cut in his mouth can be seen and he whips his hair back, making the cut on his bottom lip and jaw area very visible to the crowd and commentators!
Phoenix: Oh! Oh! Look! The Dragon Tail! This is what he used to defeat Dirk Meyer last year at Revival in their sleeper match of the night, not to mention countless other wrestlers…what a move! What a reversal! Drake was going to put him out of his misery with another Ice Breaker.
Roberts: I can’t believe it! Now it’s just a matter of time before Drake taps out, I guarantee that.
Jeffery: C’mon, Drake! Hold on, buddy. I know you can make it to the ropes! Don’t give up on your dream!!!!!
Chris suffers in the unbelievably painful maneuver for a solid twenty five seconds before finally being able to inch himself over to the rope and grab a hold of the bottom rope for dear life. Seeing as how they weren’t in the middle of the ring when the move was locked in, it was not completely impossible.
Eddie lets go of the hold without a count being induced and backs away from Drake as he rolls over and holds his back in big-time pain. Ironically enough now, Eddie stands back and forces his challenger to use up all of his power and whatever juice he has left to get to his feet, slowing him down just that much more. Wolfbaine grabs up Drake from behind quickly just as Drake gets to one knee. The reigning champion helps up Drake the rest of the way in a Reverse DDT position and forces him all the way back down with a heavy Reverse DDT, even grabbing the arm and wrenching it for extra involvement. Surprisingly enough, Eddie holds onto the Reverse DDT position and gets up from his seated position as he rips Drake back down to the canvas with his legs wrapped around Drake’s mid-section in a Dragon Sleeper. He rocks back and forth as Drake tries to fight and squirm his way out of the hold, but to no avail. Eddie has the move synched in tight in the middle of the ring while the squeezes the air out of the wily challenger’s body both with his legs and arm that is wrapped around his neck.
Eddie feels like he won’t be getting the submission here as he turns himself over and holds onto his lock on Drake’s neck, but mounts on top of his already hurting back from the Dragon Tail. Eddie then lets go of his body scissors and proceeds to lock in a deadly version of a Camel Clutch out of the Dragon Sleeper!
Jeffery: Wow! I’ve never seen this side of Eddie Wolfbaine. A really merciless guy he is, he just doesn’t let up.
Roberts: And why should he? His title and his livelihood are on the line. I’d want to defeat AND embarrass my arch nemesis at the same time too…this is the biggest and most exposed stage in wrestling to do it on, and he’s doing so with flying colors right now!
Eddie holds in the move, and actually forces blood to come out Drake’s mouth as he momentarily lets go and lets out a few rough forearms across the face of Drake before grabbing his arms back up and back into the move. Drake soon is able to fight his way up, but not all the way. After about a half a minute combined in both moves, he is able to lift back about three quarters of the way and sandwich Eddie between his back and the mat pretty badly, catching him off guard and taking the wind out of his body suddenly and holding on for a makeshift pinfall…

Eddie kicks out by pushing Drake off of him with great ease…
Both men let go of each other and Drake stands up, both men trying to create space. Suddenly, Eddie Wolfbaine lines up Drake and moves in for a Superkick of his own! Drake ducks it instead and runs into the ropes, moving in and actually landing a second and extra high-impact Ice Breaker Superkick! He falls down as he hit’s the move, falling with Wolfbaine and watching the blood and a whole wad of spit fly out of Wolfbaine’s mouth and onto the mat way behind them! Eddie falls to the mat, completely out as the fans out a big sign of surprise, a few fans even screaming out of being startled by such an unexpected and instant move, likely to end the match for sure! Instead, Drake stands up and walks around the ring, parading around and showing off to the crowd!
Jeffery: No! Drake, go! Pin him, for Christ’s Sake! Believe me, I love talking down to this idiots too…but, this is your time! Take it, man…get it!
Phoenix: Its all over, it just has to be! Drake just may have this one in the bag if he doesn’t waist any more time.
Roberts: There’s no way! Eddie won’t give up his title unless Drake snatches it from his cold, dead hands.
The now also slightly bleeding Chris Drake looks down at the out cold 4CW Heavyweight Champion, who’s blood is now streaming from his mouth and making a small pool on the canvas. He looks at him and wipes the small drip of his own blood off of his mouth before scowling at the fallen champion. He then looks all around at the crowd and heads over the top turnbuckle, heading out to the apron and slowly climbing up to the top rope, one rope by one. He perches on the rope ominously and holds onto the top rope, balled up and leaned forward almost in a ball. Eddie Wolfbaine lies nearly 10 feet away, almost in the middle of the ring as Drake seems poised to finally hit his Five Star Frog Splash.
Jeffery: Oh, my God! No way! Chris Drake has gone all the way up to the top rope. He’s always wanted to do this. He’s going for the Grand Slam…I just know it. Its how he’s always said he wants to win his very first World Heavyweight Title. And he’s gonna do it. Talk about perfect…here we go!!!!
Roberts: Oh my God, what’s going to happen?!
Drake suddenly lets go of the top rope and comes leaping off the top rope and spreading himself out mid-air, turning almost 180 degrees in the air in order to land perfectly in the middle of the ring with a euphoric pinfall that will finally make him World Champion and nails the Grand Slam, crushing Eddie Wolfbaine with all his weight. Drake remain on top for the cover, using his fingers to count with the referee.
