It's a shame cos I'd much rather see Christian/Ziggler than Del Rio/Ziggler but at least he's getting a World Title Shot and will probably put on a decent match. I just get bored of Del Rio very fast.
RVD isn't going to have any long-lasting storylines or anything, he's just there for a quick return and I doubt he'll stay past SummerSlam.

The problem with Del Rio is that he has a good gimmick and is great in ring, but he has no charisma and it's hard to stay interested in him as he just seems like a filler champion most of the time.
Has anyone here EVER been a fan of Del Rio? I find plenty of Ricardo fans, but none of him.
I agree a Christian/Ziggler match would be top notch.
Yeah, I was a big Del Rio fan during his debut heel run. They dropped the ball on him after the Rumble win and he's never recovered.
Found myself watching smack down which I haven't done in quite sometime but since coming back here have been watching a little more.
Can anyone tell me what was the point of CM Punk being interrupted by the dancer and then just flogging him? Surly CM Punk is built up enough and doesn't need such a pointless spot to get over
I agree. Punk talked so much about Cena being the establishment, i hope he doesn't just squash young guys now (very-Cena/HHH-like).

Well, in my Raw thoughts I had moaned that the WWE had done nothing with Christian yet and this apparent storyline they had for him coming back hasn't materialised... Well, it seems like they have decided to do something with him after all, whether this was there original intentions or not remains to be seen..
Christian won a Number 1 Contenders match on the tapings for the 2nd August Smackdown tapings for the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Randy Orton and RVD, rolling up Orton after Randy hit RD with a RKO.
I guess this will be Christians "1 more shot" but I can only see this as being a filler match for Del Rio until Ziggler has passed Big E etc to face him again, which means ADR isn't going to lose the title anytime soon which is really annoying as he seems to be getting more boring every week, and I personally think the loss of Rodrigez due to his suspension has really highlighted this even more.
I had hoped that RVD was going to get the shot as I had said in my Raw thoughts, as so far he is another case for bringing someone back and seemingly not having any solid plans for him.
