Ray Donovan has been renewed for a second season.. So it is safe to watch the first season knowing if its left on a cliff hanger, you get to see the outcome in a second season

Great news. I recorded the first episode last night, and my girl is out a bit later so was going to watch it then. Pleased I'll get 2 seasons out of this.
Just watched the first episode, and I gotta say, I thought it was a damn good pilot..
I liked the fact it wasn't just 1 story per episode, hopefully this wont change through the next few episodes but I liked that it packed different angles and arcs into the one episode, it gave a good picture of what it is Ray did, and made me look forward to the rest of the series.
Well, gonna give the second episode a watch and see how it goes...

I'm two episodes in and am enjoying it. It's not at 24 or Walking Dead levels for me yet (where I look forward to the next episode and watch it at the first opportunity), but I'm enjoying it about as much as Hannibal right now, so I hope this progresses and builds as Hannibal has done.
Watched the second episode, and I know what you mean about it gripping you completely, but I enjoyed it enough to keep on watching it and think it has the potential to be really good, and look forward to them exploring further than the couple of "clients" we have seen so far.

First series has finished. I quite liked it. Not fantastic, but worth a watch. I didn't see the twist with Ray and the priest, but I should have done because, looking back, it was quite obvious.
I really liked how they humanised Rays dad. He wasn't a good guy, but he wasn't all bad either.
I'll catch the second series when it comes out and see how it goes.
I actually liked the series, it was one of those series that never went all out at 100mph but went slow and steady and knew where it wanted to go and remained on that course throughout..
It knew it was good and didn't need to do anything more than it did
It wasn't something I HAD to watch straight away, but it was a permanent fixture on my Sky+ and I will happily watch and maybe even look forward to the second season
Good series, every episode was solid with a good inter-twining storyline throughout

Is he related to Jason? Not sure.
Anyway, Big B talked about this series in one of his threads (I think it's just spam and he's trying to up his post count, but anyway...) This series starts on Tuesday 16th July. I'm quite excited about it and think it could be really good. Anyone else going to tune in (or are already watching in the States)?
