What are your opinions on the subject here??

Personally I much prefer a Real paper book, but I still seem to find myself downloading books into my Kindle account purely for ease, because I have Kindle on my phone, and it means I can literally open it and read a chapter no matter where I am at..

I suppose to a degree you could even make this a 3 way argument and involve audiobooks as well as this is another step towards the digital age rather than having the printed book in your hands etc...

I prefer the ebook format for a few reasons. First of all, it's quick, easy and usually cheaper. It's also the only reason I've even managed to publish my books as there's no way I'd be able to afford self-publishing and everyone knows how hard it is to get published by someone else. So ebooks have given me a platform to sell my writing, which is great. Even though I don't own a Kindle or anything so if I ever get ebooks, I just read them at the computer.

Jek

Ebook format, by miles. I never use to read much before i started downloading Ebooks, I think years of staring at a screen has made it like second nature to me and easier to may attention to.

It shouldn't really matter either way as it's just a block of text, the medium isn't relevant. It's like choosing a camera with film over the camera on your phone.

I don't think I've ever read an e-book.  I've read journal articles (for essay research) online if that counts!

I think I prefer reading a proper paper book.  I've got nothing against e-books at all, in fact to be honest I think they're a good idea.  It's just I do like to give my eyes a rest from electrical screens (including TVs!), and paper books let me do that.

Audio books are great too.  I like to put them on my iPod to listen to on the bus (sometimes I get queasy reading on the bus) or when I'm going to bed.  It's like having a bedtime story being read to you again 🙂.

I like audio books. I pop in one at the gym and it makes the hour more fun.
