4CW Presents… Cupid’s Chaos
February 14, 2021
Live from Times Union Centre
Albany, New York

”Hardbeat” by Jamie Lenman plays through an opening video package with clips showing the announcement of Brian White and Miss Teri’s wedding. Clips are also shown of the attack from Dark Lotus to Madeline Phoenix at Janiturial Justice and Rhys Cain’s hard-fought but unsuccessful challenge against 4CW World Champion Jack Valentine on the last Storm Front. Then, we cut to the arena where the Albany crowd gave their big welcome to 4CW.

Phoenix: Welcome one and all, to 4CW Cupid’s Chaos! Scott Phoenix here, joined as ever by my broadcast partners James Roberts and Ray Jeffrey!
Roberts: And tonight, there’s love and there’s chaos in the pipeline!
Jeffrey: You got that right! All is fair in love and war, so I guess this is going to be one hell of a fair show!
Phoenix: Tonight, in our “main event” so to speak, we will witness the wedding of two 4CW greats, as Brian White will marry Miss Teri, LIVE! HERE TONIGHT!
Roberts: I am excited! Let’s get this sho on the road!

”As I Am” by Dream Theatre hits the PA system. The crowd is apoplectic as Cain steps out onto the stage and let him know with the usual, droning buzz of booing echoing around the Times Union Centre.

Phoenix: And here is perhaps the most hated man in all of 4CW. My feelings toward him though, cannot take away from the career-highlight performance he had against Jack Valentine at Storm Front last month!
Roberts: Yeah, he wasn’t able to win the championship, and he wasn’t even able to win the hearts of the fans, because he’s still a heartless bastard: but what he did earn, whether any fan will ever admit it or not, is a little modicum of respect for his talent.
Jeffrey: And that’s not exactly new! He’s always been talented, and he’s always been an asshole. Frankly, I’m surprised it took you all so long to get on my side about this! But that match against Valentine last month was one of the best I’ve ever seen in his career, that’s for sure!
Phoenix: And encompassing all of that, you have to wonder: what is Cain’s psyche now? He lost his title match and he has been confirmed for the Stormchaser Tournament at Storm Front: Declaration in two weeks. If he wins that, he will earn another shot at Jack Valentine at Revival. But even if he did that, how has that loss last month affected his mental fortitude against such a ruthless opponent?
Jeffrey: All valid questions but to get any answers we’re going to have to listen to the man speak, unfortunately!

Cain, now inside the ring, grabs the mic from Carson and shoos him out of the ring. Carson scarpers.

Cain: All I’ve seen all week is headlines like “Rhys Cain gives Career-Defining Performance” and “Jack Valentine defeats strongest Rhys Cain ever” and “Has Rhys Cain peaked? Was his match versus Jack Valentine his swan song?” HAR HAR nice pun assholes. The real question is, why is ANYONE confused that I have a “career defining performance”? I’m RHYS FUCKING CAIN. Everytime I STEP IN THIS RING I GIVE A CAREER-DEFINING PERFORMANCE!

The crowd just showers Cain with boos, and then starts a “JAAAAAAACK ALWAYS BEATS YOU … JAAACK ALWAYS BEATS YOU”.

Cain: That’s right… Jack always beats me. I know you all think I’m this deluded sycophant cult preacher who thinks he owns the world, but no. I am self-aware. I know exactly what I’m saying and how I present myself. I know exactly the true meaning behind The Black Flame and The Scorched Path it trails in its blaze of destruction. And I know that Jack Valentine, quite simply, is better than me.

Phoenix: What?!
Jeffrey: There’s no way he just said that! He’s the most arrogant prick here! And I’m ME!

The crowd are a little shocked by this statement too and it hushes them a little so Cain can continue unhindered.

Cain: Now don’t get it twisted. I am a better wrestler than Jack Valentine. I am a better man than Valentine. I am a better father than Valentine, mainly because I know who my kids are and how many I have.

The crowd “oooh” at this remark.

Cain: But the one thing Valentine has over me is simply he wants to be champion more than me. And that’s not a compliment to him. That’s a knock on myself… I’ve lost focus! I’ve been so distracted by Sery and his stupid child like mind that I’ve taken my eye of the prize, I’ve dropped the ball… and Valentine has proven that at his best, he can beat me, at my worst.

The crowd starts booing again after Cain’s caveat for his previous admission becomes clear.

Cain: But let me make something very clear to you all right now. At Storm Front: Declaration, I’m going to defeat three opponents in one night and I am going to win the Stormchaser Tournament for the first time in my career. And then, I’m going to head into Revival, defeat Jack Valentine for the first time ever… and the only time that matters… because it will be Jack Valentine at his best… versus Rhys Cain at my best… and no-one, ever, in the history of any sport, is better than Rhys Cain… at his best.

Cain drops the mic and heads up the ramp as his music continues to blast through the arena.

The camera cuts to a hallway. Jerome Grayson is walking backstage, minding his own business when Rane steps in front of him. Masked and silent, she’s frankly pretty creepy.

Rane: Me. You. The Ring. Tonight.

Grayson raises a brow at this impromptu challenge but then shrugs and nods.

Grayson: Sure, you’re on.

The camera cuts back to the ring where Michael Carson announces the next match.

Carson: The following contest is a singles match scheduled for one fall!

”Ravenous” by Killswitch Engage hits the PA system. The crowd boos the former Universal Champion as he steps through the curtain.

Carson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Newport, Wales, weighing in at 231lbs… THE HORIZON … ELIIII … WATERS!!

Phoenix: Here comes Eli Waters! Member of The Black Flame, with a debut victory at Revival and a Universal Championship run at the end of the decade. Now we enter a new era and Eli Waters is one of the key figures leading into the future, no doubt!
Roberts: Agreed. He’s chosen his own path, and while it may not be one we all agree with, he’s clearly made a success of it thus far!
Jeffrey: Yeah, but now we need to see what’s next for Eli Waters. Can he remain relevant in these shark-infested waters that are 4CW?

Waters gets into the ring and awaits his opponent. ”Spiders on the Wall” by Magnolia Bayou hits the PA system. The crowd clearly dislikes Dark Lotus too as he steps out on stage with Ol’ Smokey and The Swamp Folk. Fog envelopes the stage and ramp. The spectacle does garner some cheers, who clearly prefer Lotus over Waters.

Carson: And his opponent, from Devil’s Back Bone, Louisiana, standing 6’6 and weighing in at 275lbs… DAAAARK … LOTUS!!

Phoenix: Ominous, imposing and powerful, Dark Lotus is a mean opponent for Eli Waters tonight! We saw on Duskfall just how mean he can be, throwing Madeline Phoenix from the top rope and costing her a victory against Waters!
Jeffrey: And it seems like Waters have taken umbridge with Dark Lotus treating him like an afterthought, as he challenged Lotus to this match!
Roberts: We’ll yet see if he regrets that decision...

Lotus reaches the bottom of the foggy ramp. He takes off his ghillie, gives it to Ol’ Smokey and sends him off with the Swamp Folk. As they all trot up the tramp, Lotus climbs the steel steps and enters the ring, not taking his eyes off his opponent, Eli Waters. The referee Jude O’Cater, does his usual pre-match checks, then calls for the bell!

1.png

The match starts as expected with a lock up between the two men and proceeds as expected with Dark Lotus getting the upper hand due to his excess of fourty pounds on Waters. Lotus dominates the ring for a few minutes, taking out Waters with a series of strikes and clotheslines, two body slams and a suplex but only gets a two count.
Waters begins to fight back when he reverses a suplex attempt into one of his own. He uses his speed to his advantage to get Lotus’ foot stuck on the top turnbuckle before delivering a German Suplex, and again when he leapfrogged Lotus and took him out with a Hate By Design discus clothesline.

Waters works on Lotus with a back body drop and follows up with a spinebuster but only earns a two count for his comeback. Lotus attempts to lock up again but Waters doesn’t allow it and instead turns to strikes. He hits a spinning handstand capoeira kick and Lotus falls into the ropes. Waters clotheslines Lotus out of the ring.

Furious, Dark Lotus marches back into the ring and walks straight into a release belly-to-belly suplex. Waters gets another two count! Lotus not only kicks out but sits up and gets back to his feet, finding a second wind. He stumbles into Waters, who attempts The Death of Injustice Bicycle Kick, but Lotus side steps, grabs Waters and hits COUNT THE LIGHTS! Lotus covers Waters for the ONE … TWO … THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner… DAAAARK … LOTUS!!

Win-Loss Records:
Dark Lotus 1-0
Eli Waters 0-2

”Raise the Dead” by Age of Indica hits the PA system as Lotus’ exit theme grooves through the speakers. Lotus gets up and raises his arms in victory.

Phoenix: Well Waters gave it a good shot but on this night, Dark Lotus was simply superior! Dark Lotus doesn’t just call that move Count The Lights for fun!
Roberts: And Dark Lotus has certainly looked very strong lately! It’s going to be hard to deny him as he begins his ascent up the 4CW mountain.
Jeffrey: And one thing you can say is --
Phoenix: LOOK! It’s Madeline!
Roberts: Madeline Phoenix is here!!

Madeline Phoenix is inside the ring, having slid in behind Lotus. She gets up undetected and wastes no time in striking, taking down Dark Lotus with the MARE DE LUNE!! The inverted snapmare driver brings Lotus down!

Phoenix: Mare de Lune! Madeline Phoenix has just taken out Dark Lotus!
Jeffrey: Well, Dark Lotus started it! And we know Madeline Phoenix doesn’t take shit lying down!
Phoenix: You’re damn right!

Phoenix absorbs the cheers from the crowd as she climbs the turnbuckle and poses for them and her music blares through the speakers. We cut to a break.

==

When we return, the commentary table is on camera.

Phoenix: We have breaking news for you right now! At Storm Front: Declaration, Madeline Phoenix will defend the 4CW Universal Championship against Dark Lotus!
Jeffrey: That’s a tough first title defense, I’m not gonna lie! But this is the fight she chose!
Roberts: Phoenix vs Lotus, in two weeks! And on that same night, we will crown the winner of the 8-man singles elimination tournament, 4CW’s Stormchaser… with the winner challenging 4CW World Champion Jack Valentine in the main event of Revival!
Phoenix: And the brackets for that first round as we know are: first of all, former Lightning in the Bottle holder, former 4CW Custom Cup Champion, the only man in 4CW to make a cow tap out… PHIL MCGROIN will face the ever-present 4CW Hall of Famer… SUPREME!!
Jeffrey: That will be one hell of a match up, and so will ERICA MOXIE vs RHYS CAIN as the two Black Flame members clash in the unfortunate outcome of the draw, at least from their perspective. Personally, I think it will be a hell of a fight and I can’t wait to see it!
Roberts: And speaking of unfortunate outcomes of the draw, at least from their perspective, BRIAN WHITE will take on TOMMY YOUNG in a rare collision between the two! They have both proven they can hang with 4CW World Champion Jack Valentine, but which one of them wants it more?
Phoenix: And finally, rounding off the first round of the tournament, 4CW resident stalwart WITCH HAZEL will take on none other than the man we just saw take Lotus to a tough fight, ELI WATERS! These eight competitors will collide - only ONE will be going to the main event of Revival XV! DON’T MISS Storm Front: Declaration, where we will find out who the winner of the 2021 Stormchaser is!

Carson: The following tag team match is scheduled for one fall!

”Black Flame” by Bury Tomorrow hits the PA system and out comes the Black Flame tag team representation as The Liberation step out on stage with matching black and white tights.

Carson: Introducing first, representing The Black Flame, weighing in at a combined weight of --, BRUCE RIGG … and GARRET FISCHER… THE LIBERATION!!

Phoenix: The Liberation haven’t really set anything on fire lately, despite their namesake. Sure, they’ve won a match here or there, been involved in the odd title match… but they’ve not really won anything significant since they arrived in 4CW. They’ve never been tag team champions.
Jeffrey: What are you getting at, Scott?
Phoenix: Well what I am getting at is frankly, they have a lot to prove. But if they do manage to prove it against the Tag Team Champions, that’ll take them a long way.
Roberts: Yeah but this isn’t your average tag team champions… this is the greatest tag team in 4CW history.
Phoenix: In terms of accolades, you are spot on James. But The Liberation have a lot of experience in a 4CW ring, let’s see if they can put it to good use tonight.

”Taking You Down” by Egypt Central hits the PA system. The crowd grow loud as the home town champions step out on stage, Yesgill first with Simtul towering behind him, championships on show for this non-title match.
Carson: And their opponents, from New York, New York, weighing in at a combined weight of --, they are the 4CW Tag Team Champions… ELFAN SIMTUL … MAXIMILLIAN YESGILL … UMBRAAAAA … MAXIMA!!

Phoenix: The only four time tag team champions in 4CW history. If you combined those four reigns, they have held those belts for a combined total of 680 days, and counting. No other tag team in 4CW history has even come close to that! Just for comparison’s sake, the #2 team with the most combined days as champions is The Lords of Salem, Hall of Famers in their own right, with 282 days total as champions.
Jeffrey: And I don’t see any team taking Umbra Maxima from their perch any time soon!
Roberts: Well, we know their next challengers will be Pilgrim Paige and Kinzy Kane at Declaration. They are a relatively new team, but they have a much longer relationship of course. Do they know each other well enough to topple this team?
Jeffrey: As I just said a moment ago, absolutely not. Umbra Maxima are going to be champions for a loooong time. Maybe years. There is absolutely not one team who can beat them. And that’s a Jeffrey-approved message right there.
Roberts: Right…

With both teams in the ring, the referee Jason Trent does his pre-match checks. He sends each team to their corners. Umbra Maxima start with Simtul in the ring and The Liberation start with Bruce Rigg in the ring.

2.png

The match starts with the two bigger man Simtul and Rigg clobbering each other with lefts and rights. They move around the ring, trading blows and control of the melee as they go. Rigg gains an advantage by sending Simtul to the corner and clobbering him with an elbow, and the starts to dominate. After taking out Simtul with a standard suplex and a belly-to-belly, he throws Simtul into the Liberation corner and tags in Fischer.

Fischer doesn’t spend long in the ring, hitting a few quick kicks and an Enziguri on Simtul, who falls to the mat. He then tags Rigg back in. Rigg sets up for a powerbomb, but Simtul reverses and takes out Rigg with a clothesline. Fischer runs in and gets a back body drop for his troubles.

Simtul takes out Rigg with a body slam and tags in Yesgill. Yesgill spends a few minutes keeping Rigg grounded with various arial attacks and flashy reversals, including a flying clothesline, a hurricanrana and a near-fall earned after hitting the Lunar Lasso (Slingblade). Yesgill tags back in Simtul who sets up Rigg for the Shadow Hammer.

Rigg wriggles free and tags in Fischer, who hits a Missile Dropkick to take down Simtul and follows up with the Quote The Raven Shooting Star Press but only gets a two count, with Simtul kicking out at the last moment! Fischer sets up for a second Quote The Raven, but Simtul rolls out of the way. Simtul tags in Yesgill and Yesgill sets up and hits the Booster Descent (Springboard Superman Punch) for the three count on Fischer!

Carson: Here are your winners… UMBRAAAAA … MAXIMA!!

Win-Loss Records:
Elfan Simtul 1-0
Maximillian Yesgill 1-0
Bruce Rigg 0-1
Garret Fischer 0-1

”Taking You Down” blares through the speakers again and Umbra Maxima celebrate their victory by raising their titles in the air.

Phoenix: Umbra Maxima, dominant as ever!
Jeffrey: Pilgrim Paige and Kinzy Kane get their opportunity at the belts at Storm Front: Declaration, in two weeks!
Roberts: You will not want to miss what’s coming on that show, but fellas, you know what’s still to come?
Jeffrey: What?
Roberts: Coming up in our main event - THE 4CW WEDDING BETWEEN BRIAN WHITE AND MISS TERI!
Phoenix: And what a ceremony it will undoubtedly be! Don’t go anywhere folks!

==

We come back from a break with “Muggsy Bogues” by Alltta playing and Jerome Grayson already standing in the ring.

Phoenix: For those who missed it earlier, Jerome Grayson accepted a challenge by Supergroup member Rane… and so it looks like that’s about to get underway!

”Superstar” by Lupe Fiasco hits the PA system. Rane’s titantron plays but at first no-one appears. We hear a fumbling, like someone in gorilla with a mic. We hear distant voices.

Waverly: Bro, just go!
Justice: Go on, get bro-ing.

Then, Rane comes through the curtain. It almost looks like she is pushed through, as she stumbles. She holds a blue envelope in her hand and a mic in the other.

Rane: I - I didn’t challenge you to a match, Grayson.

Rane heads down to the ring and rolls under the ropes. She stands up. Her face is obviously hidden by her mask but she seems nervous.

Grayson: What is this? What game are you playing? Do you want a match or not?

Rane shakes her head.

Rane: No, I don’t! Bro, I just - I want… to give you this!

Rane slams the envelope into Grayson’s chest, then rolls out of the ring and marches up the ramp without looking back. Grayson is utterly perplexed. He looks down at the envelope. Shrugging, he opens it and pulls out a card that is very clearly a heart-shaped Valentine’s Day card.

The crowd, who didn’t seem to be expecting this at all, roar in approval. Grayson reads the inside of the card, which we don’t see. He looks up at the ramp, but Rane is no longer there, then looks down at the card.

He audibly says “huh” as he exhales, as if trying to process the whole thing. He then pulls out what looks like a coupon stack. He rips out a coupon and holds it up to read it. It very clearly says “Token to the value of 1 SeryCoin.”

Phoenix: What the hell is a SeryCoin?
Roberts: Sounds awfully like a crypto currency to me.
Jeffrey: Crypto-what now?
Roberts: You wouldn’t get it.

Grayson continues to look perplexed as we cut to a break.

The camera pans over the cheering crowds and we see the ring has been decorated for this most special of events. White and red roses have been wrapped around the ring ropes, a white trestle arch is set up in the centre of the ring with red and white roses again intertwined among the struts. The ring is carpeted in red, and a couple of high flower holders are set up with bouquets of flowers artfully displayed. An older man dressed in black with a white clergy collar showing that he is there to officiate the service.

The camera comes to rest at the commentary table, where all four commentary staff are there, with Olivia Ito having been invited to witness the event. All four are dressed to the nines in tuxedos and a beautiful black evening dress of layered satin with matching hat in the case of Miss Ito.

Phoenix: And welcome back to our main event of this evening, the wedding of Brian ‘The Freight Train’ White, and the beautiful Miss Teri!
Jeffrey: That's right, it's time for a WHITE WEDDING!
Roberts: How long did it take you to come up with that one?
Phoenix: And tonight, joining myself and my colleagues, is my broadcast partner from 4CW Duskfall, Miss Olivia Ito! You are looking lovely tonight Olivia.
Ito: Thank you very much for having me Scott, gentlemen!
Phoenix: You are very welcome. It’s always good to have a woman’s touch for an event like this!
Jeffrey: A woman’s touch? You got that right Scotty! AHAHAHA!!

Phoenix starts up and begins to blush at the unintended faux pa as the whole team chuckle.

Phoenix: Ahem, perspective… I meant a woman’s perspective!

Olivia Ito looks over at Ray Jeffrey as he looks at her with raised brows.

Ito: Ray you wouldn't know what to do with a woman's touch if it strangled you!

Jeffrey’s snicker is caught in his throat as Roberts laughs out loud at this put down. Jeffrey stares daggers at Roberts and mumbles something along the lines of ‘Shut up Roberts…’

“Wherever I May Roam” by Yashin hits the PA, interrupting any further bickering among the commentary team as all attention goes to the top of the ramp. The riff hits and Brian White strides out onto the top of the ramp, followed by his Best Man, Tommy Young. Both men are dressed in immaculately tailored tuxedos and solemnly walk down the red carpeted ramp to the ring, both smiling and nodding at the cheering fans. They reach the ring and climb in, the light flashing off the shining leather of Whites shoes as he steps over the top rope.  They both go and stand beside the vicar who smiles at them both and shakes their hands.

Ito: Brian White and Tommy Young are both looking very smart as they enter the ring! I’d never thought I’d see the day when The Freight Train would ever look so stylish!
Phoenix: It is a rare sight indeed!

Jeffrey just grunts, still smarting at the earlier put down.

The music fades and the crowd begins to murmur excitedly. White begins to fidget a little and Tommy grins in anticipation. The seconds roll on, the silence thickening, before a trumpet fanfare come over the PA and Wedding March by Felix Mendelssohn begins in earnest.

Phoenix: And here she is everybody! Miss Teri, in all her glorious beauty!
Jeffrey: Whoa mama! *begins panting like a dog*

Jeffrey’s reaction is understandable, as Miss Teri, followed by her Maid of Honour, is resplendent in a white silk dress, it’s train several feet long, shoulders bare, diamonds and silver lining the edge of her bust. Flower patters are seen over the body and into the flaring dress. Elbow length gloves of white silk cover her arms, leaving her hands mostly uncovered, except for a strap over each thumb, and she’s holding a bouquet of white and red roses. Her hair is curled and help up by a tiara encrusted with diamonds and a sheer veil does little to cover her face, from which a smile radiates.

Her Maid of Honour is similarly dressed in a beautiful red silk dress and gloves, her hair pulled back in a ponytail, but with two curled strands framing her freckled and dimpled face as she also smiles radiantly as they both solemnly walk down the ramp. As they reach the apron and carefully climb up the stairs, both Brian and Tommy come to meet them at the ropes, bend down and, stepping on the bottom rope, pull the second rope up enough so that both ladies can enter the ring with minimal awkwardness. Tommy winks at the Maid, who laughs and smiles back at him. The crowd have been cheering madly this whole time and only now begin to settle down as the four inside the ring take their places.

Roberts: So, as beautiful as she may be, who exactly is the Maid of Honour?
Ito: That would be Chloe Smith, one of our Production Assistants here at 4CW, and I’ve heard, the lucky girl who’s managed to snag Mr Young up there!

Most of the commentary team chuckle at this, except for Jeffrey, who is too busy undressing both ladies with his eyes to have noticed the exchange.
The vicar steps forward and opens the book he’s been carrying under his arm since stepping inside the ring.

Vicar: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the Times Union Centre, in front of the 4CW-verse, to join Brian ‘The Freight Train’ White and Miss Teri Morzano, in holy matrimony.

The vicar smiles as a murmur is heard from the crowd. He’s not used to working in these conditions and he seems to be enjoying it!

Vicar: Brian, if you’ll repeat after me…
White: Teri, I promise to cherish you always, to honour and sustain you, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, and to be true to you in all things until death alone shall part us.

Again, the crowd murmured in appreciation of this traditional showing of the marriage vows.

Vicar: Thank you. Miss Teri, if you’ll repeat after me.
Miss Teri: Brian, I promise to cherish you always, to honor and sustain you, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, and to be true to you in all things until death alone shall part us.

Both smile shyly at each other as these old words are spoken. The crowd cheer as Miss Teri finishes her pronouncement and the vicar looks to Tommy who nods and steps forward, placing a pair of rings onto the book. Winking at Chloe, and his job now done for now, he steps back a bit nearer the ropes.

Vicar: Brian…

White fumbles a little as he picks up the ring from the vicars book and takes Miss Teri by the hand, gently placing the ring on her finger.

White: With this ring I, Brian ‘The Freight Train’ White, take you, Miss Teri Morzano, to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know, I will respect your integrity and have faith in your abiding love for me, through all our years, and in all that life may bring us.

Miss Teri’s smile radiates out as she quickly grips Brian’s hand after the ring is placed. She then reaches out and takes the considerably larger ring, and pushes it on to Whites finger, the second knuckle giving her trouble for a second.

Miss Teri: (You and your massive fingers…Right!) With this ring I, Miss Teri Morzano, take you, Brian ‘The Freight Train’ White, to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know, I will respect your integrity and have faith in your abiding love for me, through all our years, and in all that life may bring us.

The crowd begin cheering rather enthusiastically as they see the end in sight. The vicar practically has to shout over the noise, despite the microphone taped to his cheek!

Vicar: With the power invested in me by the stare of New York and 4CW, I know pronounce you husband and…

WHACK!!!

Tommy hits the deck, squirming in pain and shock, as White jumps and turns.

Phoenix: WHAT THE HELL!!

Smiling sadistically on the apron, dressed all in black and chair in hand is Mike Kim. White instinctively steps in front of Miss Teri.

Roberts: What the hell is Mike Kim doing here?
Ito: And for that matter, where is Julien MagneZ and Mad Dog Valentine?!
Jeffrey: Who cares?! Finally some action!

The rest of the commentary team look at Jeffrey in disgust at this, but quickly go back to the action as Mike Kim slowly steps into the ring. Chloe makes a grab at Miss Teri in an effort to get her out and the vicar is cowering in a corner.

Suddenly, flying through the ropes is a second man in black, also armed with a steel chair. Julien Magnez hops to his feet and lands a hard strike to Whites side nearly before Miss Teri’s shriek of warning escapes her throat! The crowd are in uproar at this seemingly unwarranted attack.

MagneZ swings a second time, this time going for one of Whites tree trunk like legs, as Mike Kim’s swing is partially deflected by Whites hastily raised arm. The leg shot is enough to make him stumble, and both men redouble their attack. MagneZ Swings a hard hit to the exposed upper back of White, knocking him to the floor, as Mike Kim smashes down into a recovering Tommy Young.

Phoenix: I have no idea what’s going on, but these two have done something heinous here tonight!

Miss Teri is screaming, trying to break free from Chloe, but terror fuels her grip and Miss Teri can only lash out as one of the assailants gets too close.

Suddenly a familiar voice overtakes the arena and the camera shoots to the ramp and we see the 4CW Champion, Jack “Mad Dog” Valentine making the way down the ramp, dressed all in black, kendo stick in one hand and a microphone in the other.

Roberts: Dammit! What the hell does he want?
Jeffrey: As his goons are down here wrecking up the place, it doesn’t surprise me that Mad Dog is close by!
Ito: And it looks like he’s going to tell us himself…

Valentine: I guess my invitation got lost in the mail! But it doesn’t matter. The record breaking, reigning champion of the world, has the key to the city when it comes to anything that takes place in 4CW. And my good friend, Brian White, will not be without my good graces.

Roberts: What bull! He knows this is wrong!
Phoenix: Calm down James, he’s also not exactly wrong.

Jeffrey smirks at Roberts as the traditional ‘Shut up’ for once doesn’t come from him. Roberts pouts. Valentine makes his way to the bottom of the ramp and struts over to the steel steps and begins to slowly ascend.

Valentine: The next 4CW show will be a massive one. 8 competitors will compete in a championship title shot ONE NIGHT ONLY! Yes, that’s right! Because The 13 Ghost Gauntlet, Gallows Pole, Rumble in the Storm, and Lightning in a Bottle weren’t enough already to determine a real challenger to my title. Now we need a one-night tourney to determine yet another challenger that I’ve already defeated. And if I were a betting man, since 4CW can NOT find something, anything, different! Odds are that oversized piece of shit will be gifted a main event spot at Revival! And quite frankly, I think that’s horse shit!

Valentine enters the ring through the ropes and walks over to Brian White. The man is on all fours, attempting to get to his feet.

Valentine: But I have no control over… god damnit, stay down!

Valentine brings down the kendo stick with wicked force and it cracks loading against White’s back! He swings and connects again, for good measure. Miss Teri fights harder against Chloe’s terrified grip, trying to get to her man as MagneZ and Kim loom. The crowd boos loudly.

Valentine: As I was saying…….I have no control over the powers at be and their inability to get me a true competitor. This whole “wedding” is nothing but a farce. Something to drum up interest in what, percentage wise, could be my challenger…….AGAIN!

Valentine looks to speak again but the crowd roars in disapproval. He looks out to them annoyed and shakes his head. He swings and cracks White again. He quickly looks up and out to the crowd.

Valentine: SHUT……UP! I have the microphone, therefore I have the floor. You will listen to every last word I have to say, or I will put your favourite superstar out of commission until doomsday!

The crowd erupts and Valentine threatens the kendo stick again. Miss Teri finally breaks away from her terrified Maid of Honour and jumps to cover the twitching White. Valentine looks down at her on her hands and knees as she screams at the three to get lost and go to hell. The crowd pipes down as MagneZ and Kim chuckle to themselves.

Valentine: As much as it behoves me to take this man out now. Even to just soften him up, I couldn’t help but be here for you as well….. Miss Teri. The way things are going, it would seem you’ll be a Miss something else, if you aren’t already.

Valentine turns his back to everyone in the ring and looks out to the crowd.

Valentine: This wedding…..

Miss Teri stands and shoves Valentine from behind. He trips forwards into the ropes and whips around, seething with anger and mouths “You shouldn’t have done that”. He looks over to his goons and nods his head. They attack the downed White and Young with abandon as Valentine shoves Miss Teri out of the way and swings the kendo stick, dropping the microphone in the process.

The crowd noise dynamic changes suddenly as sprinting down the ramp, Pilgrim Paige, Kinzy Kane and Hazel all make an appearance. The sudden charge of the former Universal champion and her friends surprise Mad Dog and his goons, who all jump from the ring just as the three ladies slide in. By the time they are leaning over the ring ropes, Mad Dog has led his goons over the partition fence and into the crowd.

Security keeping the crowds from interfering, he turns back, gleefully enjoying the enraged screams of the bride, and locks eyes with Paige as she checks on White. He raises his bloodied and broken kendo stick to the air as his music hits and agents and medics flood the ring. The camera fades as Kinzy works to calm Miss Teri down, Hazel kneels next to Tommy and gurneys are rolled to the ring.
