The official theme for 4CW Storm Front: Atonement blares through the PA system, as "Prophets of Treason" by Killswitch Engage plays. The limited crowd is panned and we are joined by familiar voices.

Phoenix: Ladies and gentlemen, WELCOME to 4CW Storm Front: Atonement! I'm Scott Phoenix, joined as ever by my esteemed commentary colleagues, Ray Jeffrey and James Roberts!
Roberts: Does anyone else get an eerie feeling about tonight?
Jeffrey: If you're referring to the fact Rhys Cain is now the General Manager of 4CW, I think everyone is curious about how that is going to go! I can't imagine very well.
Phoenix: Moving past that unfortunate issue, we promise you folks that we have a show tonight worth watching, because regardless of who is in charge, we still have the best damn talent inside that ring, anywhere in the world, and, even if I do say so myself, a pretty damn good commentary team to join you on the ride!
Jeffrey: Well said! Let's do this!

"Black Flame" by Bury Tomorrow hits the PA system and one by one, the entire group steps out on to the stage. Rhys Cain leading the charge, dressed to the nines in a dashing grey suit, and behind him follow The Liberation, Zephyris and finally, Erica Moxie. They all stand on the stage and Cain absorbs the erratic atmosphere of boos that fill the island.

Phoenix: We will, unfortunately, have to sit through a bit of Rhys Cain goading first, obviously...

Carson: Please welcome, accompanied by and THE BLACK FLAME, he is the NEW GENERAL MANAGER of 4CW, RHYS ... CAAAAAAIN!!

Rhys Cain, who it seems cannot have his mood soured tonight, gives Carson an uncharacteristic thumbs up and then rolls into the ring. The rest if his group follow, filling the ring, as Carson hands his mic to Cain and leaves the ring. The music cuts out and the magnitude of the boos becomes apparent as they seem to grow tenfold against the lack of music.

Cain: Thank you all, for joining us tonight... and thank you for that wonderful welcome. If you were somehow out of power or for some bizarre reason, NOT watching Storm Front: Rumble in the Storm III last month, you wouldn't know that I in fact beat Sery to become the NEW General Manager of 4CW!!

The crowd boo louder when a louder boo didn't seem possible. It almost feels like the ground should be shaking with such a hostile environment.

Cain: I understand you all liked Sery, and I understand that a lot of you are unhappy with the result... but let me reassure you, I am not the evil man that the commentators will feed to you that I am. It's all false narratives. But if you just watch what is happening on the show, instead of listening to them you will find me a fair and even leader. Now, I'm not going to pretend nothing will change around here, because of course they will. 4CW has been slipping; I've noticed it, maybe some of you have too. Ten years ago, we were at heights we can't even reach on our tip toes now. But I'm going to change all that. I'm going to make 4CW the premier wrestling show of the world once again. And with that, I have some major announcements about tonight's show and the shows going forward.

Cain: First of all, I want to eliminate a common insult thrown at me immediately: that I am biased and unfair to people I don't like. So... Carstein... it is no secret that we are the furthest thing from friends. Some might say we hate each other. He's been trying to get his hand on Inferno for months after what Inferno did to him and Marie Dubois... and I will say this, I understand Carstein's point of view... and I sympathise with him. You heard me. So, while Sery kept throwing Carstein empty promises that he twice failed to keep, I am here to announce that tonight, in our MAIN EVENT, Carstein will go ONE ON ONE with Inferno, in a No Disqualification match!!

Jeffrey: Wow, that's a great main event! I'm impressed!
Roberts: We certainly have been waiting to see it for months, Cain is right there...

Cain: Also tonight, we're going to have some championship matches to make sure that only the best of the best talent are carrying the gold in 4CW! So! Tonight, Pilgrim Paige will defend the 4CW Universal Championship... against ERICA MOXIE!

The crowd boo at this announcement, as it is exactly what they expected with Cain putting his allies in positions of power. Erica Moxie, though, looks mildly surprised that Cain announced this, clearly having no prior knowledge.

Cain: Also tonight, 4CW Tag Team Champions Run 'N' Gun will defend the titles... against SYNTH CITY THRILLERS!!

The same boos follow from the crowd and The Liberation, who were clearly expecting to be given the same opportunity as Moxie, look somewhat annoyed. Cain notices this.

Cain: Now, now... Bruce, Garret... you don't ACTUALLY think I forgot about you, do you? No, no... see you two, and you Zephyris, you three are going to be busy with something else tonight... something that has never been seen before in 4CW and something that will solidify your legacies in this industry.

After that glorious pitch, Rigg, Fischer and Zephyris are all suddenly very interested in what Cain has to say next. Cain looks up at the ceiling.

Cain: Drop it down.

A black sack is lowered from the ceiling on a rope. Cain disconnects the sack and holds it while the rope goes back up the ceiling.

Cain: Before I make this next announcement, I want to preface it by saying ... 4CW is a company that thrives on incredible in-ring action, iconic moments and prestigious honours. And there are many honours within 4CW.... I should know, I've won them all... but there is nothing in 4CW that truly honours.... well, us.

Cain: And not just us, but anyone like us... a group of allies, sworn together in battle, to achieve our joint goals by any means necessary. That bond between a group... an elite group, for that matter... can only be honoured in one way. And so, it is my honour to introduce... for the first time ever... the 4CW FRANCHISE CHAMPIONSHIP!!

franchisebelt.jpg

Jeffrey: The Franchise Championship?!
Phoenix: What is this? ...
Roberts: It's a good looking belt, I'll say that much!

Cain: The 4CW Franchise Championship is a unique belt and the first of its kind. In short, it is a championship for any and all groups of three or more people like The Black Flame. The championship is shared between every member of said group, and the Freebird Rule is in effect, meaning any and all members of the group can defend the title. And just to further prove my benevolent intentions.... as per the rules of the 4CW Franchise Championship, the belt CANNOT be contested under Handicap match rules. It can be defended in a six-person tag, eight-person tag, 5v5, 10v10... it doesn't matter, as long as the number of members from each group is the same.

Phoenix: It's an interesting concept, and I can't say I don't like it... but I am in regular contact with one member of The Consortium and I know for sure they haven't approved this championship yet! Love it or hate it, this championship is not an official 4CW title.
Jeffrey: It's not an official title YET...

Cain: And of course, I will allow every group to compete for this championship, so! Tonight, the first 4CW Franchise Champion will be crowned as The Liberation and Zephyris of The Black Flame will take on any three members of The Janiturs for the 4CW Franchise Championship!

Cain waits for the crowd to die down before continuing.

Cain: Finally, I want to address my actions to Quentin Cosmo from a couple of months ago...

Phoenix: Cain is referring to the time he near broke the guy's neck!

Cain: Quentin, I hope you know... it was nothing personal. It was just... business. And to show you that there's no hard feelings, tonight you will get a wonderful opportunity! Tonight, you will go ONE ON ONE with Dark Lotus, for the 4CW Hardcore Championship!

Phoenix: Sounds good in principle, but I'm sure you can all work out why Cosmo got that specific match!
Jeffrey: Come on now, Scott... Quentin Cosmo getting this opportunity is only good for the future of 4CW, regardless of Cain's reasoning.

Cain: Thank you all for listening, and I hope you have a  great time tonight. For tonight, the show is not only called Atonement, it is so in essence! Tonight, we atone for all the past sins of Sery and move forward into The Black Flame to burn brighter than ever before! Enjoy the show!

Cain drops the mic as his music plays once again, and The Black Flame all leave the ring in unison as we go to a break.

Phoenix: Cain laying down the law! And coming up next, ladies and gentlemen, the 4CW Universal Championship on the line! Don't go anywhere!

Even-More-4-CW-3.png

Carson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the 4CW Universal Championship!

"Antivist" by Bring Me The Horizon hits the PA system. The crowd boo as Erica Moxie steps out through the curtain.

Carson: Introducing first, the challenger, representing The Black Flame, from Omaha, Nebraska, weighing in at lbs, ERICAAAAA ... MOXIE!!

Phoenix: Moxie has been searching all of 2020 for a victory. Apparently, that means she deserves a title shot, according to Rhys Cain. Nevertheless, despite her bad luck, there's no denying Moxie is a talented 4CW star and could pull off a victory on any given night!
Jeffrey: That's true, but it's also true that perception is reality and right now Moxie thinks she's in the slump of her career.
Roberts: If she could beat Hall of Famer Pilgrim Paige tonight, it would certainly turn the tide for her!

"The Astral Dialogue" by Agalloch hits the PA system.

The crowd, limited though it may be, explodes in encouragement for their champion. Fog emerges on the stage and through the darkness comes the 4CW Hall of Famer the fans have been waiting for, Pilgrim Paige. After a brief scan of her surroundings, the song's beat picks up in conjunction with a growling vocalisation and Pilgrim Paige takes one panoramic view of the fans that have faithfully shown up tonight and comes down the steps.

Carson: And her opponent, from the DARK SIDE OF THE MOOOOOON ... weighing in at 134lbs, she is the 4CW Universal Champion ... THE GOLDEEEEEEN ... PILGRIIIIM ...PAAAAIGE!!

Phoenix: And here she comes, the 4CW Universal Champion! And she's been on one hell of a reign!
Roberts: That she has! She won the title at Storm Front: WAR III back in December of 2019 and held on to the title after an iconic Ironman match with Supreme at Revival! She's clocked over 200 days as champion!
Jeffrey: And that's why we call her The Golden Pilgrim! Moxie will have her work cut out for her tonight!

Pilgrim Paige arrives in the ring with her usual fanfare, as she runs down to the bottom of the ramp and slides into the ring, the Universal Championship glistening around her waist. She swings her arms outwards and throws her head back, unleashing a mighty "WOOOOOOO!" which is complemented by bursts of colourful pyro shooting up from the corner posts.

Paige then turns to her corner as the lights return to normal and her music cuts. She turns to face Erica Moxie. Pilgrim Paige holds the title high in the air, without taking her eyes off Moxie, before handing the belt to referee Vivian Ford, who shows the arena what the prize on the line is before handing it off to a ringside assistant. The referee talks to both competitors and tells them what she expects from them, and then she calls for the bell to start this 4CW Universal Championship match!

Phoenix: Universal Championship action! Here we go!

Pilgrim Paige and Erica Moxie circle each other for a moment or two, before locking up in the middle of the ring. They move back and forth, being quite evenly matched, but it is the veteran Pilgrim Paige who gets the first advantage, converting the grapple into a side headlock. Moxie pushes Paige away who goes to the ropes and comes back with a clothesline to knock down The Black Flame member. Pilgrim Paige follows up with an elbow drop down on the chest of Moxie, which she repeats two more times, before making a quick cover. Vivian Ford makes the count... 1... no, kickout.

Paige grabs Moxie and lifts her to her feet, and sends her to the ropes. Moxie ducks Paige's clothesline on the return and continues to the opposite ropes. When Paige spins around to find Moxie coming towards her, she is unable to sidestep Moxie's forearm in time and gets clocked, going down to the mat. Moxie picks up Paige and hooks her up for a standard suplex, executing it perfectly. Moxie follows it up with a second suplex.

Phoenix: Moxie is building momentum!

Moxie picks up Paige and sets up for a third suplex. She lifts her up in the air and twists it into a brainbuster variation!

Phoenix: One More, With Moxie! Shades of her mentor Rhys Cain - with an added Moxie twist! Here's the cover!

1...2.... no! Paige kicks out! Moxie doesn't stop to take a breather. She knows that her run of losses will only end if she is hungrier for the win. She picks up Paige and whips her into the corner. Moxie then approaches Paige and hits a knife edge chop! She follows this up with a punch, and then does another knife edge chop. She continues this alternating pattern with increasing speed, then steps back and delivers a spinning back elbow!

Roberts: Moxie Madness! Moxie is on a roll!

Pilgrim Paige stumbles out of the corner, barely able to stand. Moxie grabs Paige from the front and takes her down with a belly-to-belly suplex and makes the cover! ONE ... TWO ... NO! Paige kicks out! Slapping the mat in frustration, Moxie gets up and picks up Paige again. She hooks both arms...

Phoenix: Is the Moxie Massacre coming?

No! Paige slips out of Moxie's grip and reverses, taking her down with a sitout jawbreaker! Paige quickly covers Moxie! ONE ... TWO ... NO! Moxie kicks out!

Phoenix: Ever the veteran, Paige sees an opportunity to turn the tide and takes it!
Jeffrey: But can she now capitalise and take control of the match?

It takes Paige a moment to gather her bearings, but she does get to her feet before Moxie. As Moxie stumbles up, Paige takes her back down with a hurricanrana! Paige gets back to her feet, shaking off the cobwebs. She runs to the ropes and comes back to take out a seated Moxie with a running dropkick! Moxie whiplashes back onto the mat and Paige covers! ONE ... TWO ... NO! Moxie kicks out!

Phoenix: What a savage dropkick but it wasn't enough to extinguish the black flame of Erica Moxie!

Paige picks up Moxie and tries to drag her towards the corner, but Moxie breaks free of her grip and clocks Paige with a right hand. Paige comes back with a forearm strike, to which Moxie retaliates with a headbutt, which knocks Paige to the mat! Moxie runs to the ropes and comes back to face a seated Paige, taking her out with a running somersault senton!

Jeffrey: There's the MOXIE-GO-ROUND!!

Moxie lifts Paige up over her shoulders from under her legs and sets Paige up for a big move! She then slams Paige back down on to the mat with the Nebraska Slam!

Phoenix: Anyone else does it, that's an Alabama Slam! But when it's Moxie, you better believe that's a Nebraska Slam!

Moxie covers Paige. Ford slides in to count... ONE ... TWO ... NO! Paige kicks out!

Phoenix: You can see Moxie getting frustrated with Paige's resilience here!
Jeffrey: You'd think after all these years wrestlers would learn not to get frustrated, eh?
Roberts: Oh yeah, I'm sure it's so easy, Ray.

Moxie picks up Paige and once again hooks both her arms in an attempt to hit the Moxie Massacre, but Paige once again reverses out of her grasp and hits a swinging neckbreaker! Paige immediately picks up Moxie and follows up with a scissored DDT!!

Phoenix: Astral Connection! Is this one over?!

ONE ... TWO ... TH--NO!! Moxie kicks out!

Paige doesn't relent; she gets back up, grabs Moxie again, and pulls her to her feet. Moxie seems to find her feet and breaks out of Paige's grip, smashing her in the face with a spinning back fist. Paige is rocked momentarily, and stumbles backwards, but Moxie is also too groggy to take advantage. Paige retaliates by running towards Moxie and hitting her with the running Codebreaker!!

Phoenix: SPELLBREAKER!! THAT HAS TO BE IT!!

Paige covers Moxie!!

ONE ... TWO ... THRE--NO!! MOXIE HAS A FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE!

Phoenix: Holy cow, I thought it was all over! Moxie lives to fight another minute!
Jeffrey: I can't believe she got out of that one!

Paige rolls away and back up to her feet, before heading for the corner of the ring and climbing the turnbuckle.

Phoenix: Paige is going up top!
Roberts: Is she looking to walk on the moon?

Pilgrim Paige jumps from the top rope with two monstrous boots crashing down on the chest of Moxie, who goes limp.

Phoenix: FOOTPRINTS ON THE MOON! THIS. IS. OVER.

Paige covers Moxie. ONE ... TWO ... THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner and STILL 4CW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION ... THE GOLDEN ... PILGRIIIIM ... PAAAAIGE!!

Win-Loss Record:
Pilgrim Paige 4-1-1
Erica Moxie 0-4

Phoenix: Well, I will give credit where it's due; it was a hard fought effort from Erica Moxie but Pilgrim Paige was simply too much for her!
Jeffrey: And that's why Pilgrim Paige is 4CW Universal Champion!
Roberts: Always fighting, always competing with the best. Paige has elevated that championship during her reign, that's for sure.

Inside the ring, Pilgrim Paige is handed her championship and she raises it in the air, celebrating her victory. On the outside of the ring, Moxie sits up against the barricade, exhausted and defeated. We cut to a break.

"Between II Worlds" by NERO hits the PA system. The crowd give a sympathetic pop to the man who comes out from behind the curtain, Quentin Cosmo.

Carson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the 4CW HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP! Introducing first, from The Wider Universe, weighing in at 217lbs ... QUENTIIIIN ... COSMOOO!!

Phoenix: Well, Quentin Cosmo is a good competitor, no doubt. But he hasn't had the best of starts in 4CW and he's still searching for his first win.
Jeffrey: I thought maybe he could have had it in his last match against Jerome Grayson, but unfortunately, Cain put a stop to that.
Roberts: Well, winning a match against anyone in 4CW is no easy feat - but Cosmo is going up against Dark Lotus, the longest reigning 4CW Hardcore Champion of all time.
Phoenix: It will be a challenge, that's for sure!

Cosmo slides into the ring and awaits his opponent. The lights go out, the darkened sky invading the arena. Fog begins to float in as "Spiders on the Wall" by Magnolia Bayou hits the PA system. The crowd boo as Ol' Smokey comes out, followed by Dark Lotus, dressed in a ghillie with the 4CW Hardcore Championship on his shoulder.

Carson: And his opponent, from Devil's Back Bone, Louisiana, weighing in at 275lbs ... he is the 4CW Hardcore Champion ... DARK ... LOOOOTUS!!

Emerging from the shadows of the stage are the Swamp Folk, around ten of them in all, huddled pretty close together and chief among them all six members of The Supergroup. They follow being Lotus like they are in some kind of trance.

Phoenix: And here he comes, Dark Lotus, flanked as always by Ol' Smokey, and the rest of the Swamp Folk.
Jeffrey: I love watching Dark Lotus in the ring, but he doesn't half creep me out!
Phoenix: I know what you mean...

Lotus gets to the bottom of the ramp. He hands his Hardcore Title to Ol' Smokey and takes off his ghillie... then rolls into the ring. Quentin Cosmo immediately dives on Dark Lotus before he even has a chance to get to his feet as the referee, Jason Trent, calls for the bell.

Phoenix: And here we go! Cosmo jumped right on the offence!

Cosmo puts the boots and clobbering fists into a downed Dark Lotus but they seem to have diminishing returns as slowly but surely, Dark Lotus gets back up to his feet. Lotus then grabs Cosmo and simply YEETS him across the ring with a wild throw. The 217lber crashes on the other side of the ring.

Phoenix: Well, Cosmo certainly didn't see that coming.
Jeffrey: Maybe he can go back in time and stop that from happening? HA!

Cosmo stumbles back to his feet but eats a Big Boot from Dark Lotus. Lotus then covers Cosmo and the referee counts .... ONE ... TWO ... NO! Cosmo kicks out! Cosmo rolls out of the ring, narrowly avoiding a boot from Lotus. Cosmo then lifts the apron and pulls out a kendo stick. Immediately, the Swamp Folk start heading for Cosmo. They surround him on both sides of the ringside area, until he has no choice but to slide back into the ring. Cosmo gets back to his feet inside the ring with the kendo stick in hand.

He swings for Lotus, who avoids the strike, then delivers a forearm to the back of Cosmo's head.

The camera cuts backstage for a moment to show Janitur watching (and seemingly, studying) the match, scribbling frantic notes we can't see into a notepad.

Phoenix: It seems Janitur is especially interested in this match.

Cosmo goes down and drops the kendo stick, so Lotus picks it up. CRACK! Lotus unleashes the kendo stick across the back of Cosmo! CRACK! And another for good measure!

Roberts: Cosmo will feel that in the morning.
Jeffrey: Nonsense, he can just time travel until the injuries heal... HA!

Suddenly, "Muggsy Bogues" by Alltta hits the PA system. Jerome Grayson comes out with a mic in hand, while the match is still ongoing.

Grayson: Yo, you know what I've noticed in my time here in 4CW? Dark Lotus is one of the most dominating figures in 4CW.... when he has his Swamp Folk!

Inside the ring, Dark Lotus' head flicks towards Grayson at the insult, but he ignores him and carries on taking down Cosmo, this time with a body slam.

Grayson: And I'm not the only one who thinks so... so since the HARDCORE championship is supposed to represent mayhem... LET'S CREATE SOME!

Inside the ring, Lotus hits Cosmo with a Powerbomb and hooks the leg! ONE ... TWO ... THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner and STILL 4CW Hardcore Champion... DARK ... LOTUS!!

Win-Loss Records:
Dark Lotus 6-0
Quentin Cosmo 0-3-1

"Cowboys From Hell" by Pantera hits the PA system! Out come both Jason and Robert Crow, with chairs in hand! Jason hands a chair to Grayson. The three of them then start running towards the Swamp Folk, weapons ready to strike!!

And the lights go out!! When they come back on seconds later, The Swamp Folk are gone!

Phoenix: Seems like the Swamp Folk aren't the fighting type!
Jeffrey: Maybe, but Murder of Crows and Jerome Grayson got what they wanted! Lotus is all alone!

Lotus stands in the ring as Murder of Crows and Jerome Grayson stand side by side on the outside, all with chairs. The stand off builds in intensity as Lotus starts daring them to come into the ring, when SUDDENLY, Quentin Cosmo rolls up Dark Lotus from behind!! ONE ... TWO ... THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner and the NEEEEW 4CW HARDCORE CHAMPION ... QUENTIN ... COSMOOO!!

Win-Loss Records:
Dark Lotus 6-1
Quentin Cosmo 1-3-1

Phoenix: Look at that! Quentin Cosmo just pinned Dark Lotus!
Jeffrey: His first win in 4CW and we have a new Hardcore Champion!
Roberts: Yeah but that also means he's just become a target! He's running, look!

Cosmo rolls out of the ring as Murder of Crows and Jerome Grayson all slide in. Cosmo snatches the 4CW Hardcore Championship from ringside and legs it over the barricade!

1.png

The camera cuts to The Black Flame locker room. Cain is standing near a raised table, so that it almost looks like a podium, while the others stand around listening.

Cain: Now I've come out of my General Manager office just for a moment, so I can come and talk to you all. I know I haven't had much time for us tonight but you know how it is: first day on the job! Tons of paperwork to deal with... Bruce, Garret, Zeph... tonight, you guys all have the opportunity to make history. That match, is coming up next, so don't let me down.

Zephyris, Bruce Rigg and Garret Fischer all nod in unison, and file out of the locker room, leaving only Cain and Moxie.

Moxie: Rhys, I just want to say... thanks for the opportunity tonight, and I'm sorry -
Cain: Sorry that you threw it away?

There's a thick silence as Moxie lowers her head. A moment later, she looks back up.

Moxie: Yes, for that. I will do better.
Cain: I really hope so, Erica. You know how fond I am of you. Melissa and I took you in and helped you.
Moxie: And I am grateful -
Cain: I know you're grateful, Erica. If you weren't, you wouldn't be here. But I need more than gratitude. I need results. I'm sorry to say, but you have disappointed me this year. You haven't won a match, you've not -

Cain notices his own voice raising and cuts himself off. He sighs.

Cain: I am only hard on you because I know you can achieve so much more. Under my guidance, we will get you there... nevertheless, consider this a warning: shape up! Start representing The Black Flame with more than gratitude. Start representing it with pride.

Cain leaves and the camera lingers on Moxie, who clearly felt insulted by the last jab and clenches her jaw.

Carson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

"Ravenous" by Killswitch Engage hits the PA system. The crowd give a respectable pop as 4CW rookie Eli Waters steps out on stage.

Carson: Introducing first, from Newport, Wales, weighing in at 231lbs, THE HORIZON ... ELIIIII ... WATERS!!

Phoenix: Eli Waters has had a good year so far. Winning his first two matches in 4CW, he challenged Pilgrim Paige for the 4CW Universal Championship! And while he was unsuccessful, he gained the respect of many in the locker room given his performance!
Roberts: And tonight, Eli Waters looks to bounce back against another locker room leader, Madeline Phoenix!
Jeffrey: This will be a big test for Waters, but also a big match for Madeline, who will want to bounce back from coming so close to winning the Rumble in the Storm last month!

"Phoenix (Volkor X remix)" by Scandroid hits the PA system. Madeline Phoenix steps out onto the stage to a deafening roar from the crowd. The spotlights encircle her, then give way to just one, which centres itself over Phoenix herself. With her black-and-red spandex attire, wild hair and trailing streaks of eyeshadow, Madeline Phoenix looks ready for battle. Across her shoulders and extending down her arms to the wrists is a pair of scarlet "wings", made of well-tailored fabrics and an intricate feather formation. Lit from above, The Mad Phoenix throws her head back and spreads her wings wide—an action that is met with blasts of colourful pyro going off on either side of of the 4CWTron! The aftermath of these pyro blasts has two columns of red-hot flames licking at the steel frame of the Tron structure. Madeline takes a moment to drink in the crowd response.

Carson: And his opponent, FROM THE ASHES OF THE PAST... weighing in at 128lbs... MADELINE... THE MAAAD... PHOEEENIIIX!!!

The Tron returns to normal as the Rumble in the Storm Ironwoman runs down to the bottom of the ramp. She slides into the ring and in one smooth motion, she spins round on hands and knees before rising up from the canvas and spreading her wings once more, an action that is mimicked by many of her fans.

Phoenix: Here she is! Madeline Phoenix, who lasted fifty eight minutes in the Rumble in the Storm match only to finish runner up, looks to rebuild momentum here tonight with a victory over Eli Waters!

Both competitors take their corners in the ring. Referee Jude O'Cater explains he wants a nice, clean match and calls for the bell. Immediately, Phoenix and Waters clash in the middle of the ring. Waters wins the grapple and tosses Phoenix across the ring, so that she lands near the corner. Phoenix gets to her feet and is met with a corner clothesline from Waters! Waters sends Phoenix to the opposite corner and attempts another running clothesline. Phoenix gets a boot up which smashes Waters in the face!

Phoenix: Nice reversal from Madeline there!

Phoenix runs forward and takes out Waters with a running dropkick! The impact sends him hurtling back towards the corner himself. Phoenix gets up to her feet and runs at Waters and hits a forearm smash in the corner. Waters stumbles away, trying to gain some space, but Phoenix stalks him and locks in a Hammerlock, then transitions into a Side Russian Legsweep! Phoenix makes the cover! 1...2... no! Waters kicks out!

Roberts: Only a two count from Phoenix!

Phoenix gets to her feet and picks up Waters. She attempts a suplex, but Waters is able to hold his ground and reverse into a suplex of his own! Waters then grabs Phoenix and sets her up for a German suplex! Waters throws her over, but Phoenix lands on her feet! When Waters recovers, Phoenix takes him down with a deep arm drag! Phoenix gets to her feet and follows up with a run, sliding down and hitting the seated Waters with a sliding forearm smash! Phoenix makes the cover. ONE ... TWO... KICKOUT!

Phoenix: Waters kicks out at two, but Phoenix is in total control here!
Jeffrey: The Horizon is going to have to pull something out of his ass to get back into this match!

Phoenix picks up Waters and sets him up for the String Cutter, but Waters reverses out of Phoenix's grasp, grabs her and throws her shoulder first into the corner! Phoenix's shoulder hits the steel of the corner post. She stumbles out of the corner and turns around - right into a Spinebuster!!

Phoenix: This Fire Burns!! Waters with the cover! ONE ... TWO ... BUT PHOENIX KICKS OUT!!
Jeffrey: Looks like he pulled something out of his ass after all!

Waters rolls away and gets back to his feet. He rests in the corner for a moment, and then signals that it's time for The Death of Injustice brogue kick. Phoenix stumbles to her feet and Waters runs and strikes - but Phoenix sidesteps and Waters hits air! Waters spins around to face his opponent and Madeline Phoenix takes him out with the Ranhei!!

Phoenix: BARREL ROLL! Could this be it?
Roberts: Phoenix has Waters in a precarious position!

Phoenix holds for the cover! ONE ... TWO ... TH--NO!! WATERS KICKS OUT!!

Roberts: I thought for sure she had him there!

Waters gets up to his feet fairly quickly but Phoenix is already positioned behind him. She locks in the Hammerlock and hits a falling reverse DDT!!

Phoenix: Madeline hits the STONECASTER DDT!!
Jeffrey: The Horizon is in big trouble now!!

Phoenix doesn't go for the pin this time. Instead, she grabs Waters and pulls him to his feet. She sets up for the Mare de Lune... but Waters pushes her away! Waters hits a DISCUS CLOTHESLINE!!

Phoenix: REVERSAL!! HATE BY DESIGN!!
Jeffrey: Phoenix is rocked!

Phoenix falls into the corner, slumped against the turnbuckle. Eli Waters is clearly raging at this point, and begins to stomp Phoenix. The referee carefully warns him, but Eli Waters just stomps faster and faster! The referee warns Waters more directly this time, and then begins to count him out as Waters continues to stomp!!

Phoenix: Stop this, Waters! What are you doing?!

Jude O'Cater counts Waters ... ONE ... TWO ... THREE .. FOUR .... FIVE!! O'Cater has no choice but to call for the bell!!

Carson: Here is your winner via disqualification... MADELINE ... PHOENIX!!

Win-Loss Records:
Madeline Phoenix 3-3
Eli Waters 2-2

Waters ignores the announcement and continues to stomp!

Phoenix: Oh come on, what the hell is this now?
Roberts: Eli Waters just with no regard for the rules!
Jeffrey: I thought this guy was a decent kid, hard worker... but now he's just a bad loser?

Eli Waters stomps the crap out of Phoenix in the corner. He then picks her up, sets her up for a straitjacket powerbomb and lays her out in the middle of the ring!!

Phoenix: Jagged Cross Lesions! Madeline is taken out!
Roberts: What the hell is this even about? I don't get it...

"As I Am" by Dream Theatre hits the PA system.

Phoenix: You've got to be ****ing kidding me...
Roberts: Oh, NOW I get it...

Rhys Cain steps out on stage to a raucous, booing crowd. He has a mic in hand.

Cain: Ladies, gentlemen and people of all ages... I will make this short and sweet, so we can get back to the action tonight! Please, welcome... the NEWEST member of THE BLACK FLAME.... THE HORIZOOOON ... ELI ... WATERS!!

Phoenix: I don't believe it!
Jeffrey: It seems Eli Waters has gone over to the dark side!
Roberts: He was doing so well! He had the admiration of the crowd and was picking up impressive wins!
Phoenix: Well, we know two things about him we didn't before: one, he's a sellout and two, he's a coward!

Inside the ring, Eli Waters stands on the middle buckle and raises his arms. The crowd respond with a chorus of boos, and Eli Waters smirks. He then jumps down, leaves the ring, and walks up the ramp, to shake hands with Rhys Cain. The sight sickens the fans and they boo even louder as we cut to a break.

Lights fade to dark as the intro riff to Thundersteel by Riot hits. An animated graphic of a Spitfire with a flaming skull design on it's nose flies across the screen, it's engine noise blaring even over the music. It flies up and we see a steam train with a flaming skull at the front of it's boiler stack speeding along the line. The Spitfire begins to fly above it as the train turns to head towards camera. Drums come in as the flaming skull comes into centre screen and the words Run 'n' Gun can be read as Brian White and Tommy Young both hit the stage, making their signature poses with Miss Teri coming to stand seductively between them, hand on hip, looking across the crowd with a half cocked smile on her features.

Carson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the 4CW Tag Team Championships! Introducing first, from Barry, South Wales, weighing in at a combined weight of lbs, they are the 4CW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS ... TOMMY YOUNG ... BRIAN WHITE ... THIS IIIIIIS ... RUN 'N' GUUUUN!!

Phoenix: And here come our Tag Team Champions, both of whom had a spectacular showing in the Rumble in the Storm match last month with Tommy Young lasting a very respectable 45 minutes, while The Freight train went on to win the whole thing!
Jeffrey: What? Oh.. yeah, they had a great match! Heheh, sorry I was distracted, Miss Teri is looking HAWT tonight!
Roberts: Why am I not surprised by that reaction...

Linking her arms with both men, she leads them down the ring, Tommy smiling and waving as he goes, Brian smiling easily for once and taking in the crowds cheers and whoops. Miss Teri leaves the two men at the bottom of the ramp and heads to the stairs whilst Brian and Tommy climb the apron. Tommy hops over the top rope, White grabs the second rope, steps on the bottom rope and makes more room for Miss Teri to enter the ring, before stepping over himself. Tommy mounts the far corner post, whilst White takes the closest and they both rais their championship belts for the crowd, Miss Teri standing in the centre of the ring, again hand on hip and smiling to the audience, though her gaze does come to rest on White.

White steps down from the rope, dropping the belt to his shoulder and heads to stand next to Miss Teri, who laughs as White quips a comment. Tommy comes to the centre, also smiling and hands a mic to White.

White: Fight Island, how's it going?!

The capacity crowd of around 100 make up for their lack of numbers with sheer volume. Tommy eggs on the crowd and Miss Teri laughs at the antics of her team.

White: Well, we've had a belter of a show so far...

The sarcasm almost literally drips to the floor, and Tommy pantomimes falling asleep and the crowd boo as they remember the antics of the new GM of 4 Corners Wrestling.

White: Still, at least you've got me, Tommy and the lovely Miss Teri to keep you all company for a bit! Hahaha!

Tommy again pantomimes, but this time, bows deeply to the crowd, his grin practically splitting his face.

White: And talking of this little group, I gotta say, we've had a pretty good year so far, don't ya think? Tag Champs, a damn fine run in the Rumble match from my little buddy.

White let's the crowd cheer Tommy's success.

White: And of course, I came out on top against some of the absolute best this locker room has to offer. No point sugar coating that, we've got the best in the bloody world, but there was no way I wasn't winning that match, not after the month I've had!

White smiles down at Miss Teri, who beams back at him.

Phoenix: White and Young have been on a great run it's true, but I get the feeling this is deeper than mere competition.
Jeffrey: Hang on... What's that on her finger?!

Jeffrey looks astounded at the blonde beauty in the ring as a light glints off a previously hidden, or just unseen ring on Miss Teri's finger. Phoenix and Roberts both laugh as they watch Jeffrey putting two and two together. “NO FUCKIN WAY!!!!”

White: So, what about my title match? Sery promised one, and even though he's not in charge any more, the contract still stands. And of course, I've had no bloody answers from anyone. Can't even get to Cain's office to ask him directly as those smug bastards in the Liberation have also become door security... Of course, they probably shoulda stuck to that from the beginning considering how much of an impact they've made on the tag division!

The crowd cheer at the expense of the The Liberation as Tommy really seems to be playing to his new role as court jester for White!

White: Not even the lead producers could tell me anything, and though there are some rumours going around about Gallows End, War or even Revival, I've been around long enough to know not to believe everything you hear in a locker room... So, I got a contract that gives me a title shot, but unlike the Lightning in a Bottle, I can't just show up any time I want with a ref and cash in...

The crowd offer a mixed reaction to Phil McGroins exalted status.

White: What to do, eh? Apart from grab a couple choice lads from the back and beat the snot out of the Liberation so I can bloody get at Cain and demand an answer of him...

The crowd momentarily drown out White in their approval of that idea! Even Scott Phoenix can be seen nodding enthusiastically.

White: Hah! I thought you'd like that idea! And while it would be a pleasure to shorten some certain careers around here, that's not really my problem right now. Just let it be known, whether it's mister sneaky bastard himself, Jack Valentine, Phil McGroin, or anyone else who's managed that climb; The Freight Train is coming, and I got every intention a steam rolling right over you!

White drops the mic, a grim smile covering his face and he moves off to a corner with Miss Teri to begin their pre match prep. Tommy however picks up the mic.

Tommy: Awe, come on Bri! We all know that stuff, but you left out the best and most juicy part from last month! And I noticed that a few, including Ray over there, have figured it out.

Whites grin has turned to a grimace as he sees where his young partner is going with this. He turns back to Tommy and tries to grab the mic, intending to shut this show down, but the crowd are lapping it up. Miss Teri is stood in the corner now, trying not to look embarrassed. Tommy jumps aside with a laugh.

Tommy: Nope! You're not getting out of this one! I'll give you the mic back if you spill the beans for us all!

White's “Fine!” can be heard even without a microphone.

Roberts: Looks like we'll be getting confirmation of what's broken Ray here..

Jeffrey's still staring in abject horror at what is unfolding before his eyes.

Tommy gives the big man the mic back, his grin crossing the lines to a smirk, just a little.

White: Fine. Something I alluded to earlier. I've had a pretty great month, both in the ring and personally.

He puts his arm out towards Miss Teri, who, smiling coyly, walks forward to take his big meaty paw in her delicate hand. Wrapping his arm around her shoulder and drawing her close to him, White takes a breath, being very careful not to look at the widely smiling Tommy Young. The crowd noise begins to raise as they see where this is going.

White: I am happy to announce, that Miss Teri and I.. Are getting married!

The crowd explode at this revelation and Miss Teri raises her hand so a camera man gan get a good view of the diamond ring now adorning her finger.

Phoenix, joining in with the applause: Well, finally some good news, very good news. And congratulations to Brian White and Miss Teri!
Roberts: Here! Here!
Jeffrey: Why...? Why throw your life away like that...
Roberts: My mom not enough for you, is she?

Jeffrey looks disgustedly at the smirking Roberts

Jeffrey: Just... gah! SHUT UP ROBERTS!!

"Roadgame" by Kavinsky hits the PA system. The crowd give a gracious pop for both members of the Synth City Thrillers as they head out on stage. Reuben Kojo and Devon Drummond bump knuckles on the stage, a show of solidarity, then head down to the ring.

Carson: And introducing the challengers, from London, England, weighing in at a combined weight of 454lbs ... REUBEN KOJO ... DEVON DRUMMOND ... the SYNTH CITYYY ... THRILLERS!!

Phoenix: Synth City are here for two reasons. To have a good time and to reach the top of the tag division!
Jeffrey: And make no mistake, they have an ultimate opportunity here to add the 4CW Tag Team Championships to their resume!
Roberts: But Run 'N' Gun are by no means an easy target! They won the Soul Survivor Tournament, of course, and are two-time 4CW Tag Team Champions!
Phoenix: Run 'N' Gun certainly have the edge in experience, but the Synth City Thrillers are hungry, young blood - and that's always a dangerous thing for fighting champions!

Kojo and Drummond enter the ring as Run 'N' Gun give them half of the ring to interact with the crowd. Then, Brian White and Tommy Young hand the tag belts to referee Jason Trent, who lifts the titles in the air and then hands them to a ringside assistant. Drummond goes to the apron as Kojo takes position inside the ring and the champions mirror their decision by having the bigger man Brian White start the match with Tommy Young on the apron. Jason Trent calls for the bell!

Phoenix: Kojo and White to start this 4CW Tag Team Championship bout!

Kojo and White lock up in the middle of the ring. After a few moments of struggle, White wins out and takes down Kojo with a body slam. Kojo takes the blow, jumps back up to his feet and once again locks up with White. Once again, White struggles for a moment, before winning out again and hitting a second body slam.

Kojo gets up again, this time a little slower, but changes strategy, and kicks White in the gut. He follows up with a knife edge chop and then whips White to the ropes... or tries to, except White reverses and sends Kojo to the ropes and follows up with a Big Boot!

Phoenix: The Freight Train's power is pretty much unmatched by anyone!

White picks up Kojo, who immediately fights back with a second knife edge chop. And then a third. Kojo then follows up with a spinning back fist and hits a snap DDT, bringing down White! Kojo hooks the leg! 1...2... no! White kicks out!

Roberts: Kojo gets the first pinfall attempt of the match but he's not done enough just yet!

Kojo lifts White to his feet and then, with an impressive feat of strength, lifts up White and body slams him back in return! With White down, Kojo tags in Drummond. Drummond doesn't get into the ring normally. Instead, he jumps up on to the top rope, springboards, and hits a MOONSAULT!

Phoenix: Now THAT'S how you enter a ring! RAGE AGAINST THE DYING LIGHT!

Drummond rolls over and hooks White's leg! ONE ... TWO ... NO! White kicks out! Drummond positions himself with his boot into White's back and locks in a bow and arrow lock! He applies the pressure, as White roars in agony. White tries his best to get to his feet but only manages his knees at which point, Drummond releases the hold and hits a spinning back elbow to the back of White's head.

Drummond then runs to the ropes and comes back at high speed. Facing White, he runs in with an elbow strike! He unleashes three more elbow strikes in quick succession!

Phoenix: Devon's Demons on display with those mean elbows!

Drummond covers White and hooks the leg! ONE ... TWO ... NO! White kicks out! Drummond tags in Kojo. Kojo approaches White, who finds himself slouched in a vacant corner of the ring. Kojo breaks into a run and takes out White with a Cannonball!

Jeffrey: Kojo with the Disco Ball!
Phoenix: It seems that Synth City keeping White away from his partner has worked wonders for them so far!

Kojo quickly tags in Drummond again. Kojo picks up White and sends him towards Drummond with a European Uppercut. Drummond meets White with an uppercut of his own, sending White back to Drummond!

Phoenix: They Bang The Drums!

The alternating European Uppercuts continue as Kojo and Drummond both hit another one each. Drummond then sets up for a German suplex, but White elbows him in the side of the head. White takes down Kojo with a Big Boot that sends him to the outside over the top rope!

Phoenix: The Freight Train is fighting back!

Drummond tries to stop The Freight Train with another European Uppercut, but White grabs him and hits a vicious HEADBUTT! White then sends Drummond to the ropes and hits a Pavement Slam upon his return! White stumbles over - and TAGS IN YOUNG!!

Roberts: And White makes the tag!
Phoenix: Here comes Top Gun - and he's going straight to the top!

Tommy Young climbs to the top turnbuckle and jumps off, taking down Drummond with a diving dropkick! Young then climbs RIGHT BACK UP the turnbuckle and dives off again, this time with a DIVING ELBOW DROP!

Phoenix: Tomahawk Missile! Young is firing on all cylinders!
Jeffrey: Can he put away The Keeper of the Keys?!

Young takes out Drummond with a slingblade! He then hooks the leg! ONE ... TWO ... KICKOUT! Drummond kicks out and Young jumps right back up, picking up Drummond again and sending him to the ropes. Drummond comes back and ducks a clotheline from Young. On his return the second time around, Young kicks out the leg and sends Drummond into the middle rope, before running up and hitting the Tiger Feint Kick!

Phoenix: He has him right where he wants him! Young is going for it!

Tommy Young springboards off the ropes and comes down with a FLYING FOREARM SMASH!!

Phoenix: ACES HIGH!!
Roberts: Has Top Gun done enough?!

Young hooks Drummond's leg! ONE ... TWO ... THREE!!

Carson: Here are your winners and STILL 4CW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS.... RUN 'N' GUUUN!!

Win-Loss Records:
Brian White 6-5
Tommy Young 5-4
Reuben Kojo 1-3
Devon Drummond 1-2

White rolls back into the ring to celebrate with his partner as their music starts to play. White lifts Young to his feet and they raise their arms, when "As I Am" by Dream Theatre hits the PA system. The crowd immediately boo as they know this cannot mean anything good.

Phoenix: Why is Rhys Cain coming out here now? Haven't we seen enough of him already tonight?

Cain steps out on to the stage, mic in hand. He has a big smile on his face.

Cain: Congratulations on your victory, Run 'N' Gun! And congratulations, Mr White, on your glorious announcement that you and Miss Teri are to be wed. Truly, I am happy for you both. In fact, I'm so happy for you... that I got you an engagement present!

Phoenix: Oh, really?

Inside the ring, White frowns and points warningly at Cain.

Cain: Now, now, don't get angry. This is a genuine token of congratulations. See, this tag team division is, as you know, PACKED with talent. And I just know you are the type of FIGHTING champions who love to take on all-comers! So tonight, in fact, right now, I have a new set of challengers for you... a set of challengers that are well up to the task of proving why they are the best tag team in the world.

Phoenix: What? Give me a break! Run 'N' Gun just competed already!
Roberts: This is ridiculous!

Cain: The following contest is a TABLES match scheduled for one fall and it is for the 4CW Tag Team Championships... the challengers, are none other than... UMBRAAAA MAXIMAAA!!

"Taking You Down" by Egypt Central hits the PA system. The crowd boo at the arrival of the two-time and longest-reigning 4CW Tag Champions of all time. Elfan Simtul and Maximillian Yesgill step out on stage, looking confident. Brian White can be seen ranting in the ring to Young, but Young talks him down and convinces him to focus on the challenge ahead.

Phoenix: Well, Simtul and Yesgill look confident, and they should be! Umbra Maxima are a challenge for any team, at 100%! Run 'N' Gun have already JUST competed and now they have to defend their titles against arguably the greatest team in 4CW history?
Jeffrey: I don't think there's any argument, Scott. They ARE the greatest team in 4CW history.

Yesgill and Simtul enter the ring and Jason Trent has no choice but to call for the bell. With the Tables match rules now in effect, both teams charge at each other, making it a free for all. Young takes down Yesgill with a hurricanrana, but Simtul manages to take White out with an outstanding belly-to-belly suplex!

Roberts: Wow! Look at the strength of Simtul!

Simtul charges back up to his feet and takes down Young with a colossal clothesline. He then throws Young through the middle rope and out of the ring. Simtul then exits the ring too.

Roberts: Simtul is taking this to the outside!
Jeffrey: You know what's outside? Lots of tables! We'd better move!

Simtul clears the commentary announce table of its hood, monitors, headsets and papers. He then sets up Young in a Powerbomb position, when suddenly White is back in the action and he runs in, taking down SImtul with a clothesline! White picks up Simtul and runs him into the corner post! White then looks up as Yesgill dives from the top turnbuckle and takes him down with a crossbody!

Phoenix: Yesgill flies! It's complete chaos out here!

Young finds his way back to his feet and runs across the announce table, jumps off and takes down a recovering Simtul with a Tornado DDT! Young jumps back up to his feet and finds the only remaining opponent, Maximillian Yesgill. He grabs him and picks him up, but Yesgill throws an arm up and takes down Young with a low blow!!

Roberts: What a cheap shot!

Young crumbles and Yesgill throws him across the announce table. Yesgill then climbs the turnbuckle and looks down at his opponent.

Jeffrey: Well this would end the match right here!

Suddenly, White is back to his feet! White finds Yesgill perched up top and heads towards him, but Simtul is not far behind. Simtul grabs White and throws him into the barricade head first! White crumbles. Meanwhile, Yesgill DIVES OFF the top rope to the outside and crashes into Young with a MOONSAULT!! The table collapses and the bell rings!!

Carson: Here are your winners and the NEW 4CW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS ... UMBRAAA ... MAXIMAAA!!

Win-Loss Records:
Brian White 6-6
Tommy Young 5-5
Elfan Simtul 3-3
Maximillian Yesgill 3-3

Phoenix: Umbra Maxima are now THREE-TIME 4CW Tag Team Champions! But this tainted victory just leaves a bad taste in my mouth!
Roberts: Welcome to the Cain Era...
Jeffrey: Run 'N' Gun will be furious at this! I wouldn't want to be Cain right now!
Phoenix: It doesn't really matter how angry they get, Cain is General Manager and he has the power, as sick as it makes me to admit it!

Inside the ring, Simtul and Yesgill raise their titles high in the air. Outside the ring, Young is out and White is leaning upwards, heaving and shattered, with a furious scowl on his face. We cut to a break.

Quentin Cosmo is backstage in his locker room. He has packed his bags, still holding the 4CW Hardcore Championship over his shoulder and all ready to go leaves his locker room. BAM!! Outside of his locker room door is Jerome Grayson, who smashes a cafeteria tray over Cosmo's head! Grayson follows up with a Big Boot! He then hooks the leg as referee Stanley Robb counts the fall! ONE ... TWO ... THREE!!

Win-Loss Records:
Quentin Cosmo 1-4-1
Jerome Grayson 1-1-1

Jeffrey: What an idiot! Cosmo could have stopped time to get out of here safely!
Roberts: Will you stop?
Phoenix: Regardless, Jerome Grayson is our new 4CW Hardcore Champion!

The camera cuts backstage where Cain is in The Black Flame locker room, joined by Eli Waters and Erica Moxie sitting in the corner.

Cain: You wanted to see me, Eli?

Eli nods and holds his hand out for Cain to shake.

Waters: First off, I just want to thank you again for this opportunity. And second of all, I want to ask for something.

Cain raises his brow. In the background, Erica Moxie can be seen rolling her eyes. It goes unnoticed by Cain or Waters.

Cain: Well, if you don't ask, you don't get. Out with it.
Waters: Alright. I want to face Pilgrim Paige tonight for the 4CW Universal Championship.
Cain: Well, Pilgrim Paige has already competed tonight.
Waters: So have I. I'd say that makes us even.

Cain considers Waters for a moment and Erica Moxie stands up.

Moxie: Well you already had your shot, didn't you? Last month, and you lost.
Waters: You're right, I lost. But now I'm under the tutelage of The Black Flame, I can't lose. How long have you been here? And didn't you lose to Paige despite all the mentoring you've received.

Moxie steps forward.

Moxie: I wouldn't make the mistake of not considering me a threat. I'm all for new blood in The Black Flame... but you'd damn well better respect me or I'll beat some respect into you, got it?

There's a tense stand off between the two broken by Cain chuckling.

Cain: He's got it, Erica. Make no mistake he respects you and everyone here. But I like your drive, Eli. So you know what? You're on! Tonight, you're going to face 4CW Universal Champion Pilgrim Paige! Make sure you bring home the gold...

Cain leaves the room and Moxie turns to Waters.

Moxie: What's your game, here? What are you playing at?
Waters: I'm not playing any games. I'm going to go out there and beat Paige, become the 4CW Universal Champion and show you how it's done.

Waters strolls off and Moxie is left to stew in frustration as we cut away.

Jerome Grayson is in the parking lot. He fumbles for his keys and goes to unlock the door to his white sedan, when he notices the windows are smashed!

Grayson: Man, what? For real, though?

Grayson inspects the damage. He pokes his head into the car - and suddenly is seemingly gassed out as a bunch of vapour appears out of nowhere!! Grayson steps away from his car and the door opens, to reveal ROBERT CROW with a FIRE EXTINGUISHER in hand! With Grayson blinded, Crow kicks him in the gut and hits a DDT on to the concrete! Then he hooks the leg! Referee Teddy Smith rolls out of the car and counts the fall! ONE ... TWO ... THREE!!

Win-Loss Records:
Jerome Grayson 1-2-1
Robert Crow 1-1

Phoenix: New champion! Robert Crow pins Jerome Grayson!
Jeffrey: And he destroyed his car too! What an asshole!

As Robert Crow escapes with the belt, we cut to the arena again. "Black Flame" by Bury Tomorrow hits the PA system. Fight Island erupts in boos as half of The Black Flame step out on stage. FIrst, Zephyris, closely flanked by The Liberation. Rigg on his left and Fischer on his right, the trio head down to the ring.

Carson: The following contest is a six-person tag team match scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, the team of Zephyris, Bruce Rigg and Garret Fischer... THE BLACK FLAME!!

Phoenix: And you'll notice that this match is not being announced for the 4CW Franchise Championship, because Cain is still trying to get permission to go ahead and sanction it from the board!
Jeffrey: I guess being General Manager doesn't give you unlimited power, eh?
Roberts: Nevertheless, The Black Flame will compete against The Janiturs and the winners will leave with the, for now, unofficial 4CW Franchise Championship.

"Ding Dong Song" by Gunther hits the PA system. The crowd pop as the trio of Janitur, JANISTAR and Jani-Her come out on to the stage.

Carson: And their opponents, the team of Drunkin Janitur, JANISTAR and Jani-Her ... THE JANITURS!!

Phoenix: I spoke to Janitur earlier tonight. He is doing everything he can to find a way to save The Supergroup from Dark Lotus, and he told me specifically, that winning the 4CW Franchise Championship tonight might be exactly the type of thing that would snap The Supergroup out of their trance, as they would want to challenge The Janiturs for the gold themselves!
Roberts: Considering it's an unofficial title, and The Supergroup's lack of common sense, I'd say that's a pretty good assumption by the Janiturs! But first, they actually have to win the match!

All three competitors representing The Janiturs arrive in the ring. Jani-Her decides she wants to start in the ring with Zephyris. The referee Jason Trent makes sure both teams are good to go and calls for the bell!

Phoenix: Six-person action, here we go!

In an immediate advantage and probably the strongest Zephyris has ever looked in his life, he takes down Jani-Her with a fierce clothesline that almost sends her spinning 360 into the air. Zephyris then picks up Jani-Her and takes her out with a snap DDT! He hooks the leg! 1...2... no! Jani-Her kicks out!

Zephyris picks up Jani-Her and throws her into an empty corner. He chases after her with a corner clotheline but Jani-Her sidesteps and moves out of the way, running over to tag in JANISTAR! Zephyris immediately realises the predicament he's in and wants no part of it!

Phoenix: Apparently, Zeph wants no part of JANISTAR!

Zephyris heads over to his team and tags in Rigg, who runs in towards JANISTAR - only to be flattened by a Big Boot! Fischer decides to get involved by climbing the turnbuckle and diving off with a crossbody on JANISTAR! But JANISTAR catches Fischer in mid-air and dumps him over the top rope and to the outside!

JANISTAR turns to face Rigg but is taken out with a Belly-to-Belly suplex! Quick cover! ONE ... TWO ... NO! JANISTAR kicks out! Janitur attempts to reach his arm out to JANISTAR to get the tag. Rigg picks up JANISTAR and attempts another belly-to-belly suplex, but JANISTAR escapes with an elbow to the side of Rigg's head.

JANISTAR turns to tag in Janitur - but Zephyris suddenly runs the length of the ring and dives into Janitur with a punch to the nose which knocks him off the apron!

Roberts: Zephyris calls that the One Punch Man and it's certainly done it's job! Janitur is on the floor, Jani-Her is out, and JANISTAR is isolated!

Zephyris turns and takes out JANISTAR with a Side Effect and leaves the ring before the count of five! Rigg takes advantage of this and grabs JANISTAR, setting him up, lifting him up and slammin him down with a POWERBOMB!!

Rigg falls on to JANISTAR and hooks the leg! ONE ... TWO ... THREE!!

Carson: Here are your winners... THE BLACK FLAME!!

Win-Loss Records:
Zephyris 1-1
Bruce Rigg 1-1
Garret Fischer 1-1
Janitur 2-2
JANISTAR 0-1
Jani-Her 0-1

Inside the ring, Zephyris shakes his head. As the referee hands him the unofficial 4CW Franchise Championship, Zephyris rolls out of the ring, gets in Carson's face and shouts.

Zephyris: ANNOUNCE IT! NOW!!

Carson stumbles as he brings the mic to his face.

Carson: H-Here are your winners and the NEEEW 4CW FRANCHISE CHAMPIONS.. THE BLACK FLAME!!

Zephyris nods and mutters.

Zephyris: Never forget again.

Phoenix: Well, he didn't forget! 4CW officials can only announce sanctioned belts! And the Franchise Title is not that! But whatever helps Zephyris sleep at night!
Jeffrey: Official or not, we have 4CW Franchise Champions... and they are... The Black Flame!

Zephyris celebrates in the ring with the title, and with The Liberation, as we cut to a break.

6.png

Robert Crow finds Jason Crow in the hallway and shows off his championship belt.

Jason: What the - ?
Robert: I got to Grayson in the parking lot! Come on, let's get out of here!

The Murder of Crows start to jog out into the parking lot. They run to a dark corner where their SUV is parked. Jason unlocks the car and they get in. Moments later, the engine revs up and Jason starts to speed through the lot when suddenly, all the lights go out and the parking lot is blacked out. The sound of the brakes being pumped can be heard as The Crowd screech to a halt.

The doors open and The Crows get out of the car.

Robert: What the hell was that?
Jason: I don't know... come on, we'll catch a cab.
Robert: But what about the - oof!!

The lights come back on - and DARK LOTUS IS HERE! And Lotus has brought along Jude O'Cater! Lotus swings for Jason Crow with a steel chair and hits him directly across the head. He then grabs Robert and throws him into the windshield of his own car! Robert rolls to the floor and Dark Lotus covers him. ONE ... TWO ... THREE!!

Win-Loss Records:
Robert Crow 1-2
Dark Lotus 7-1

Phoenix: Well, they tried to get out of here! But it seems there is no escaping Dark Lotus, who has reclaimed the Hardcore Championship!

The lights go out again and when they come back on, Lotus is gone. The Crows both groan on the floor as they start to feel the beating they just took.

Jeffrey: And Dark Lotus is gone! Looks like that title is safe for the night!

As The Crows writhe in agony, we cut back to the arena.

Carson: The following contest is a Battle Royal match where the winner will face Phil McGroin for the 4CW Custom Cup Championship at Gallows End!!

"Head Like A Hole" by Miley Cyrus hits the PA system. Senecca comes out with a big pop from the crowd.

Carson: On his way to the ring, from Valhalla, New York, weighing in at 330lbs... 4CW Hall of Famer... THIS IIIS ... SENECCAAA!!

"Step" by Ministry hits the PA system. To another big pop, comes Dirk Meyer!

Carson: On his way to the ring, from Valhalla, New York, weighing in at 240lbs ... 4CW Hall of Famer... DIRK ... MEYER!!

"You Ain't Ready" by Skillet hits the PA system. The crowd give a respectable pop to the rookie.

Carson: On his way to the ring, XAVIEEEER ... AVANA!!

"Inked in Blood" by Sigh hits the PA system. The crowd explode for one of their clear favourites, as The Silver-Haired Sorceress steps out on stage.

Carson: On her way to the ring, from EVERYWHERE... AND NOOOOWHERE ... weighing in at 128lbs... WITCH ... HAAAAZEL!!

"Good Times" by Finger Eleven hits the PA system. As Supreme steps out on stage, he is met with a decisively mixed reaction from the Fight Island crowd.

Carson: And finally on his way to the ring, from Supremeville, USA, weighing in at 240lbs ... 4CW Hall of Famer... SUUUUPREME!!

Phoenix: All five of these competitors will be looking to gain momentum in this match! Avana, Senecca and Meyer all came up short against McGroin at Rumble in the Storm and they will look to rectify that tonight! Witch Hazel has a rich history with the 4CW Custom Cup Championship, having held it from April to December of 2018, while Supreme is a two-time 4CW Custom Cup Champion. Both Hazel and Supreme would love to earn another shot at that title tonight!
Jeffrey: And as if you didn't get enough of throwing competitors over the top rope last month, tonight you're getting that little bit more as the only way to eliminate your opponents is over the top rope, with both feet touching the floor outside!

All five competitors gather in the ring as referee Stanley Robb calls for the bell. The bedlam begins as soon as the bell rings, with all five competitors gathering into a mass brawl in the middle of the ring. A few Supreme Annoyance roaring elbows take out Hazel and Meyer, until Senecca grabs Supreme and takes him out with a belly-to-belly suplex! Senecca jumps to his feet, only to eat a dropkick from behind by Avana, that rocks him but doesn't knock Senecca to the mat. Senecca turns and pushes Avana's second dropkick out of the air, causing Avana to crash on the mat.

As Avana stumbles to his feet, Senecca lifts him up on his shoulders and hits a Samoan Driver!

Phoenix: Senecca hits Avana with The Dark Plunge! Could be an early night for the rookie!

Senecca grabs Avana and is about to throw him over the top rope, when suddenly Supreme runs in and clocks Senecca with a Supreme Annoyance, then follows it up with a huge belly-to-belly suplex! Supreme gets to his feet, only to get kicked in the gut by Meyer and eat a DDT! Meyer grabs Avana and attempts to lift him up over the ropes, but Avana fights out of Meyer's grip, sending a rough forearm to the temple of Meyer and tossing him over the top rope!!

Carson: Dirk Meyer has been eliminated!

Avana stumbles away from the ropes but doesn't get far before he is met with a hurricanrana from Hazel! Hazel follows up by taking down Avana with a Nilswitch!!

Phoenix: There's the Nilswitch! Avana's sleeping!

Witch Hazel is forced to leave the hurt Avana untouched as Senecca grabs her from behind and hits a back suplex! Senecca then grabs hazel and tosses her over the top rope! Hazel holds on and finds her feet on the apron, but Senecca sees it coming and throws up a big boot, which knocks Hazel clean off the apron!!

Carson: Witch Hazel has been eliminated!

Phoenix: And Senecca takes out Hazel! We're down to three!
Roberts: Oh, but look at this!! Avana -

Inside the ring, Avana springs to life and gains leverage from underneath Senecca, managing to tip him over the top rope and with one final lurch, toss him to the outside!

Carson: Senecca has been eliminated!

Phoenix: Wow! We're already down to the final two! It's Xavier Avana and Supreme! One of them will challenge Phil McGroin at Gallows End!

Supreme grabs Avana and hits him with a picture-perfect Fisherman's Suplex!

Phoenix: And there's the Supreme Compromise! Avana may be out for a three count but in this match he has to go over the top rope!

Supreme of course knows this and immediately tosses Avana towards the ropes and over them. Like Hazel before him, Avana finds his feet on the apron. And like Senecca before him, Supreme charges at Avana with a Big Boot. Avana, however, sidesteps and high-kicks Supreme's leg off the top rope. Jumping back into the ring, Avana strikes Supreme with the Grizzly Magnum which knocks him down on his ass. Supreme quickly recovers, only to fall victim to a Northern Lights Suplex!

Phoenix: Avana pulling out all the stops!

With momentum on his side, Avana grabs Supreme and tosses him towards the ropes. Supreme stops at the ropes and throws back an elbow, which catches Avana. He then throws Avana over the top rope but Avana again holds on! Supreme approaches Avana - who suddenly leaps into the air from the apron, grabs on to Supreme and pulls him over with a Poisonrana!! Avana crashes on the apron while Supreme falls down to the floor below!!

Carson: Here is your winner and the #1 Contender to the Custom Cup Championship... XAVIER ... AVANA!!

Win-Loss Records:
Xavier Avana 3-1

Avana stumbles back to the middle of the ring and falls to his knees, exhausted.

Phoenix: Xavier Avana has done it! He won the Battle Royal and he will face Phil McGroin at Gallows End for the 4CW Custom Cup Championship!
Jeffrey: I wonder what McGroin will have to say about this!
Roberts: And he eliminated Supreme to win the match! That Poisonrana was super impressive!
Phoenix: The question now remains, can Xavier Avana pull off the big one at Gallows End?

We come back to the arena from a break where Carson is in the middle of the ring to announce the next match.

Carson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the 4CW UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!

"Ravenous" by Killswitch Engage hits the PA system and out comes Eli Waters! The crowd, who were cheering him at the beginning of the night before he let them know where his aliegance lies, now boo him mercilessly as he comes down to the ring.

Carson: Introducing first, the challenger, from Newport, Wales, weighing in at 231lbs... THE HORIZON ... ELIIII ... WATERS!!

Phoenix: No, you are not experiencing deja vu! Eli Waters has wrestled tonight already and so has 4CW Universal Champion Pilgrim Paige! But as we saw with Run 'N' Gun earlier, that doesn't seem to matter to new General Manager Rhys Cain! Paige is forced to defend her title against Waters, after already defending it earlier tonight against Erica Moxie!
Jeffrey: Cain wanted things to change around here when he took over and he's making sure he keeps to that promise!
Roberts: Even if that means ruining the integrity of 4CW, right?
Jeffrey: Apparently so! What can I say? The guy's a prick.
Phoenix: Regardless of all that, Eli Waters is no doubt a talented individual and has already challenge Paige once before, so he will know what to expect here tonight!
Jeffrey: But on the other side of that same coin, so will Pilgrim Paige! She knows how to beat him too! All she has to do is repeat the feat tonight!

"The Astral Dialogue" by Agalloch hits the PA system. No fancy entrance for Paige this time.  She storms through the curtain and down to the ring. the belt already unhooked from her waist and in her hand. She rolls into the ring, gets right into Eli Waters' face and raises the title up high.

Phoenix: Well, well! Pilgrim Paige knows she's being screwed tonight, she knows that the odds are against her, and she's still getting right in the face of her opponent and saying "bring it on!"
Jeffrey: And that type of attitude could get you out of a situation like this! If you're too stubborn to lose, you can't lose, right?

Paige hands the belt to referee Vivian Ford. She raises the belt for everyone to see and hands it to a ringside assistant. She then checks both competitors for foreign objects and then calls for the bell.

Immediately, Pilgrim Paige goes on the offence with right hand after right hand, cornering Waters within seconds. She unleashes a knife edge chop, followed by a "WOOOOO!" and another knife edge chop! Paige then hits a forearm and sets up Waters, lifting him for an impressive suplex!

Phoenix: The Golden Pilgrim comes flying out of the gates!

Paige and Waters both get up at around the same time but Paige is a smidge faster and takes down Waters with a dropkick, dropping him to his knees. Paige then sets up and unleashes a series of shoot kicks to the chest of Waters, finishing him off with an Enziguri! Paige then covers Waters! ONE ... TWO ... NO! Waters kicks out!

Paige rolls back to her feet and when Waters gets up moments later, she attacks him from behind with a chop block! She then works on the knee, with multiple stomps! Paige then locks in a headscissors and brings Waters down to the mat! Paige makes a move for Waters but he unleashes a right hand from the mat.

Waters manages to get back to his feet, hobbling on his hurt knee. He attempts to lift Paige up for a suplex, but his knee gives way. Paige finds her feet and reverses with a DDT! Another cover! ONE ... TWO ... NO! Waters kicks out!

Phoenix: Veteran tactics from Paige! She's targeted the knee and it's clearly been hurt! Waters is at a disadvantage now!
Jeffrey: Eli Waters came into this match confident and cocky, but now it looks like he may be eating his words if things carry on like this!

Pilgrim Paige piles on the pressure by flipping in the air and hitting a standing moonsault! Another cover from Paige! ONE ... TWO ... KICKOUT!

Roberts: Waters is still in this but this is an impressive display from The Golden Pilgrim!

Paige picks up Waters. Waters breaks free with a kick to the gut. Waters charges towards Paige with a Big Boot, but she grabs his leg and hits a corkscrew takedown! Paige then grabs the leg of Waters and locks in the TRAILER HITCH!!

Phoenix: A rare display from Paige! The Trailer Hitch is locked in!
Roberts: And that work on Waters' knee is paying off right about now!

Waters writhes in agony as he struggles to reach the ropes. He suffers for a few moments and even considers tapping for a split second, before rolling and kicking Paige away with force! Paige releases the hold and Waters stumbles to his feet. Paige runs at his and he takes her down with the Spinebuster!

Phoenix: We've seen this before! Not many can pull off a Spinebuster with the torque that Waters does!

Waters continues his offence with an over-the-top belly-to-belly suplex! He covers Paige! ONE ... TWO ... NO! Paige kicks out!

Jeffrey: Waters is fighting his way back into this match! But that knee has got to be holding him back!

Waters grabs Paige from behind as she gets to her feet and attempts a German suplex. Paige slips out of his grasp and reverses, grabbing Waters from behind and attempting a German suplex of her own! Impressively, Waters lands on his feet, but then his knee jerks and gives way. The distraction is enough for Paige to run to the ropes and come back with a running crossbody which takes down The Horizon! Paige then goes to the corner and heads up top!

Phoenix: Paige is going to the top turnbuckle! Could we see a repeat of her title defence earlier tonight against Moxie?!

Inside the ring, Waters is out with no sign of recovering and Paige is in perfect position on the top turnbuckle - when suddenly, ERICA MOXIE appears and jumps up on the apron. With the referee checking on Waters, Moxie pushes Paige off the top rope and jumps down to ringside, her dastardly interference going unpunished! Pilgrim Paige crashes to the mat as Moxie ducks behind the ring apron!

Phoenix: WHAT THE HELL?! Moxie just threw Paige off the top!
Roberts: Paige crashed hard! This could be the end!
Phoenix: NOT LIKE THIS!!

Waters stumbles to his feet and grabs the deadweight Paige. He hooks her up in a straitjacket and hits the POWERBOMB!!

Phoenix: For the second time tonight, there's the Jagged Cross Lesions from Waters!!

Waters hooks the leg!! ONE ... TWO ... THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner and the NEEEEW 4CW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION ... THE HORIZON ... ELIIIII ... WATERS!!

Win-Loss Records:
Pilgrim Paige 4-2-1
Eli Waters 3-2

Phoenix: I don't believe it! That's bullshit!
Jeffrey: Eli Waters is the new Universal Champion! Believe it!

"Ravenous" plays across the PA system. The crowd are booing wildly as Erica Moxie stands up from behind the apron. Waters sees her and realises what has happened. He looks furious as the referee hands him the Universal Title. He holds it high in the air, but continues to scowl at Moxie on the outside.

Phoenix: Well, I don't know why Waters seems so annoyed at Moxie, considering she just handed him the belt!
Roberts: We've got to take a break, but don't go anywhere - it's CARSTEIN VS INFERNO - NO DISQUALIFICATIONS... and that match is NEXT!!

8.png

We cut backstage where Eli Waters is in gorilla position with the 4CW Universal Championship over his shoulder. Moxie follows behind him and he turns on her.

Waters: What the hell was that?

Moxie looks mock-affronted.

Moxie: That was me, showing you how it's done and handing you a championship. You're welcome!

Waters smirks, but don't be mistaken, he is not happy. It is a smirk full of derision and frustration.

Waters: Well, maybe you can teach me a thing or two when you actually win a match, jobber!

Moxie doesn't like this. She walks right up to Waters and SLAPS him across the face, hard.

Waters: Fucking say that again, asshole!!

Moxie and Waters go nose to nose, when suddenly, Cain appears and steps between them,

Cain: As much as I love to see tempers flare and the fire in both your eyes, make no mistake The Black Flame is a UNIT! And Eli Waters, congratulations! First night with The Black Flame and you are the 4CW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION! This is no time for arguments... this is time to CELEBRATE! Come on! Zephyris and The Liberation are waiting for us. As soon as this show is over, we're going to throw a party like this island has never seen!

Waters and Moxie don't back down from each other, but neither of them are brave enough to continue when Cain has told them not to... so eventually they step away from each other. Waters adjusts the belt on his shoulder and walks off as Moxie looks on. We cut back to the ring.

Carson: The following contest is our MAIN EVENT of the evening, and it is a NO DISQUALIFICATION match scheduled for one fall!

"Sad But True" by Metallica hits the PA system. As 4CW Hall of Famer Inferno steps out on stage, the fans unleash a tidal wave of boos, still pissed at his ultimate betrayal of Carstein at Revival.

Carson: Introducing first, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 255lbs... 4CW Hall of Famer... INFEEEERNOO!!

Cold and emotionless, Inferno heads down the ramp to the ring.

Phoenix: There is no remorse in those eyes. There is no compassion in those eyes. I don't know when along the years Inferno lost all humanity, but he definitely has lost it all now!
Jeffrey: His betrayal of Carstein even made me look at him differently! That's saying a lot!
Roberts: This Inferno is outright terrifying. He's always been a loose cannon, but now he seems to be filled with apathy and rage for others! That is a dangerous mind to inhabit!

"Rattle Them Chains" by Wayne Murray hits the PA system. The wave of boos for Inferno turn into rampant cheers for their hero, The Lord of the Night, as he steps out on to the stage. Carstein stares down the ring at Inferno as his music blares and the crowd go wild.

Carson: And his opponent, from Parts Unknown, weighing in at 231lbs ... 4CW Hall of Famer... CAAAAARSTEIN!!

Phoenix: Carstein is here tonight for one thing and one thing only, and it is the thing he has been after since April: revenge.
Roberts: He's been trying to get a hold of Inferno one on one for months, but only now has he been cleared to compete long enough for it to actually happen!
Jeffrey: Carstein eliminated Inferno from the Rumble in the Storm, before Valentine interjected himself into the match just to eliminate Carstein! So you can be sure Carstein doesn't consider them even quite yet!

Carstein makes it about halfway down the ramp. Then, he drops his coat and SPRINTS into the ring. He slides in, and takes down Inferno with a Lou Thesz Press! The referee calls for the bell!!

Phoenix: And Carstein isn't waiting around! This match is underway!!

Carstein unloads lefts and rights on his former-partner-turned-mortal-enemy, not letting up for a second. Inferno rolls over and manages to get on top, unleashing some strikes of his own, but Carstein soon turns it back around and continues to pummel Inferno with punches until Inferno decides the best course of action is to escape the ring and he does so. However, Carstein doesn't allow him to escape. He exits the ring too, grabs Inferno, and whips him into the steel steps, which implode upon impact and scatter across the floor in two pieces.

Roberts: Satan's Outrider isn't going to let Inferno get out of here that easily!

Carstein stomps a few boots into Inferno for good measure. He then picks up Inferno and throws him wildly into the barricade. Inferno crashes back-first and slumps on to the floor. Inferno then grabs him and drags him towards the apron, smashing his face down on the apron a couple of times. This is enough for Inferno to find the strength to fight back and he puts his hand down on the apron to block Carstein's strike, then chins him with a quick jab. Carstein stumbles back and Inferno grabs him and whips him into the announce table! As Carstein flies over the second announce table, the commentators look at their own already broken-table with a sense of foreshadowing.

Phoenix: Well, OUR table is already shattered, but the Spanish announce table is just fine and dandy!

Inferno picks up Carstein from behind the table, pushing the Spanish commentary team out of the way. Carstein spin on the spot and hits Inferno with a spinning heel kick, which rocks him and sends him tumbling away from the announce table. Carstein recovers enough to kick Inferno in the gut and hit a suplex on to the floor! Carstein then grabs Inferno, clutches him close, and hits a BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX ... THROUGH the second announce table!!

The crowd break into a "HOLY SHIT!" chant as the table implodes, hood and monitors still in place. Inferno crashes and writhes in pain, and a welt on his back determines that he hit at least one of those monitors directly.

Phoenix: Through the table!!
Roberts: Inferno could be done after that!
Jeffrey: But it's no good for Carstein outside the ring! He needs to get him back in there!

Carstein picks up Inferno and rolls him into the ring. Carstein then rolls in right after him and picks up Inferno. He sets him up for the Blood Drinker DDT but Inferno slips out and reverses, taking down Carstein with a roundhouse kick! Inferno then grabs Carstein and takes him out with a neckbreaker! Inferno makes the first cover of the match! ONE ... TWO .. NO! Carstein kicks out!

Phoenix: Well, against the tide of this match, Inferno gets the first pinfall attempt! But that crash through the announce table has to be weighing down on him!

Inferno gets to his feet and reaches the turnbuckle. He rips off the padding in one fell swoop. He then grabs Carstein and tries to bash his face into the turnbuckle itself. Carstein blocks by putting his hands on the ropes. He throws an elbow back, which catches Inferno in the cheek. Carstein then turns around and positions Inferno for a German suplex! Carstein holds his position for a cover attempt! ONE ... TWO ... NO! Inferno kicks out!

Carstein grabs Inferno and lifts him to his feet. Carstein kicks the groggy Inferno in the gut and attempts to Irish whip him into the corner... but Inferno reverses the momentum and sends Carstein into the corner instead. Carstein lurches forward and hits the exposed turnbuckle! As Carstein stumbles back, clutching his face, Inferno grabs him from behind and hits the REVERSE DDT!!

Phoenix: The turnbuckle and the DDT and Carstein's night could be over right here!!

Inferno hooks the leg! ONE ... TWO ... NO!! Carstein kicks out!

Roberts: Not today! Carstein is still fighting!

Inferno wastes no time in getting back up. This time, he sets up Carstein for a Powerbomb... he lifts up Carstein - and Carstein starts punching for his life while in the headscissors part of the Powerbomb! It seems like Inferno isn't able to hold Carstein while being attacked, but he powers through and comes crashing down with the seated Powerbomb!!

Phoenix: INFERNO BOMB!! INFERNO TAKES OUT CARSTEIN!
Jeffrey: IT'S ALL OVER!

The referee slides in to count the fall! ONE ... TWO ... TH--NO!! CARSTEIN KICKS OUT!!

Jeffrey: WHAT? How?!

Inferno looks stunned at the kickout from Carstein. The camera gets a close up of Carstein's face to reveal that he is busted wide open from the turnbuckle.

Phoenix: Inferno draws blood! This is not good for The Midnight Aristocrat!

Inferno picks up Carstein and sets him up for another Inferno Bomb - but before Inferno can even lift him, Carstein suddenly springs to life and takes down Inferno with the BLOOD DRINKER DDT!!

Phoenix: BLOOD DRINKER!
Jeffrey: But Carstein is so out of it he isn't able to make the cover!

Carstein and Inferno lay two feet away from each other, Inferno seemingly out cold and Carstein too disorientated to find the wherewithal to roll over and cover Inferno. The crowd start chanting "LET'S GO CARSTEIN!!" which awakens some kind of rallying cry in Carstein, who somehow finds the awareness to roll over and COVER INFERNO!! The referee counts! ONE ... TWO ...TH---NO!! INFERNO KICKS OUT!!

Phoenix: So close! If not for the delay in covering, I think Carstein would have had the victory right there!
Jeffrey: You're probably right, Scott... but the match is still on!!

Both Carstein and Inferno lay there exhausted and unable to move for at least thirty seconds. Eventually, Carstein starts to roll towards the ropes, then uses them as leverage to get back to his feet. As Inferno reaches all fours, Carstein grabs him and lifts him up. Immediately, Inferno unleashes another roundhouse kick, then follows it up with a neckbreaker! Inferno then stumbles to the ropes, using them to keep himself up and try and regain his breath.

Inferno then drops down and rolls out of the ring, flipping the apron up and pulling out a steel chair! He throws that into the ring, and then pulls out a small, mysterious bag and throws that in too! Inferno then slides back into the ring. Inferno grabs the steel chair. As Carstein stumbles to his feet, Inferno jabs him in the gut with the chair. Inferno then drops the chair to the mat, sets up Carstein in a Powerbomb position, lifts him up and SLAMS CARSTEIN WITH AN INFERNO BOMB INTO THE STEEL CHAIR!!

Phoenix: OH MY GOD!
Roberts: INFERNO BOMB!
Jeffrey: RIGHT INTO THE STEEL CHAIR!

The referee slides in to count the fall on the seated Powerbomb. ONE ... TWO ... THR--NO!! CARSTEIN KICKS OUT!!

Phoenix: I don't understand the resilience of either of these men, all I can say is CARSTEIN KICKS OUT! And this match is gonna give me a heart attack!
Jeffrey: What does Inferno have to do to put down The Lord of the Night?!

Inferno stumbles to his feet. He grabs Carstein and half-lifts, half-drags him to his feet. Groggily, Inferno sets up Carstein for a Reverse DDT on to the chair - but Carstein slips out, reverses and hits an Enziguri! Inferno stumbles backwards and Carstein picks up the chair that Inferno tried to spike him on, then swings down and SMASHES Inferno across the head with it! Inferno goes down, clutching his head in agony!!

Phoenix: BRUTAL CHAIR SHOT!! And Inferno is BUSTED OPEN!!
Roberts: We now have two bleeding warriors in that ring! Which one can outlast the other?!

Carstein rages as he unleashes chair shot after chair shot, on the body of Inferno!! Arms, legs, torso, he hits every part he can, before launching the chair out of the ring with a roar. Carstein then spots the bag in the corner of the ring. He grabs it, opens it, and POURS HUNDREDS OF THUMBTACKS on to the mat!

Phoenix: UH-OH! THUMBTACK TIME!

Carstein picks Inferno up and attempts a Blood Drinker DDT on to the thumbtacks, but some kind of survival instinct in Inferno allows him to break free and hit Carstein with a forearm. Carstein retaliates with a second spinning heel kick, which knocks Inferno down to the mat! Carstein then heads for the corner and BEGINS THE CLIMB!

Phoenix: And now The Lord of the Night is going up top!

Carstein looks down at the bloody and broken Inferno, then DIVES OFF WITH A TOP ROPE SHOOTING STAR PRESS!!

Phoenix: Carstein with the Shooting Star Press! WOW!
Roberts: But he's not done!!

Carstein immediately grabs Inferno after he lands, puts a knee in his back, arm around his throat and locks in THE LAHMIAN CLUTCH!!

Phoenix: THE LAHMIAN CLUTCH LOCKED IN! WILL INFERNO FADE?!

Inferno is barely conscious at this point, with blood pouring down his face, matched only by the blood pouring down Carstein's face. Carstein screams as he applies the pressure, and Inferno seems to be fading... and fading... until suddenly, INFERNO IS UP! He's on ONE KNEE and then TWO KNEES! Carstein tries with all his might to keep the hold locked in, but INFERNO BREAKS OUT! Inferno then turns around - CARSTEIN HITS THE BLOOD DRINKER DDT - INTO THE THUMBTACKS!!!

Phoenix: OH MY GOOOD!!
Roberts: BLOOD DRINKER INTO THE TACKS! THE TACKS!!
Jeffrey: THE LORD OF THE NIGHT STRIKES!!

Carstein falls on top of Inferno, being pierced by a couple of tacks himself, as he covers! ONE ... TWO ... THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner... CAAAAARSTEIN!!

Win-Loss Records:
Carstein 3-1
Inferno 1-1

Phoenix: Carstein has done it! An incredible win tonight! Finally, he can put Inferno in his rear view mirror!
Roberts: The two men went to war and The Lord of the Night survived the chaos!
Jeffrey: What a match! What a destructive display from these two 4CW Hall of Famers!!

"As I Am" by Dream Theatre hits the PA system. The commentators audibly groan.

Jeffrey How many times tonight are we gonna have to hear from this dickhead?

Cain: Yes, yes... congratulations! The Lord of the Night has vanquished his foe! And what a victory it was! However, it will not take away the burden of Jack Valentine interfering in the Rumble in the Storm match and costing you a chance at his belt, will it?

Carstein narrows his eyes, wondering what game Cain is playing.

Cain: I know what you're thinking, what am I playing at? The truth is, Carstein, is I'm just being the General Manager this show has always deserved! Someone who sees injustices and fixes them. Brian White won the Rumble in the Storm and he will receive a 4CW World Championship match. This is a guarantee... he will get it... in the near future. But not before YOU, CARSTEIN, get your fair one-on-one rematch with Jack Valentine, AT GALLOWS END, in a GALLOWS POLE MATCH for the 4CW UNDISPUTED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!

Cain's music hits as the crowd applaud and cheer this announcement, though with an air of confusion. Inside the ring, Carstein nods, wiping the blood out of his eyes.

Phoenix: Who would have thought Cain would have given Carstein of all people, exactly what he wants?
Jeffrey: Who cares?! It's CARSTEIN VS VALENTINE, GALLOWS POLE! That's MONUMENTAL!
Roberts: It's been an up and down show but that right there is a high note to go out on!
Phoenix: Couldn't have said it better myself, James! Thank you all for joining us tonight, we'll be back in September, from right here on 4CW Fight Island! Goodnight!!

Bloody hell there's a lot to get through in this show... Ok, let's get too it!

Cain opens the show: BOOOO! HISSSS YOU SUCK!! Ahem... Sorry about that... Anyway, the review. Cain's coming out and trying to placate the crowd, and for the most part it seems that he manages to accomplish this. On the surface he does come across as the unbiased GM he's trying to persuade us all he is. He's charismatic as usual and seemingly honest about his intentions. Let's just say he rolled a natural 20 on his deception check!

Universal TItle, Paige (c) vs Moxie: Moxie is not having a good year, is she! She does put up a fight though, which is more than she's managed at this level for a long time, which is good. Paige is still pretty much in charge of this match and wins pretty convincingly, even whilst taking the best Moxie has to offer.

Hardcore Title, Lotus (c) vs Cosmo: Lotus seems pretty unstoppable in the hardcore scene. Quentin Cosmo does manage more offense than Lotus is accustomed to these days, but the main thing about this match...

Other Hardcore Shenanigans: Is the shenanigans that ensue! Jerome Grayson coming out with the distraction, followed by Murder of Crows, Followed by Cosmo taking a roll up win... And it carries on for most of the show! It's great! This is what the Hardcore belt is fore and it's been kinda missing during the Supergroup storyline. Good to see it back.

Cain/Moxie segment: Moxie really isn't having a good night. I'm feeling that Cain is coming more and more off as a cult leader thinking about it. And the way he treats Moxie just makes that feeling stronger.

Phoenix vs Waters: So, this was looking like a good fun match between these two. Both tough as nails, both pretty brawler-y and both hungry for the win. So it was a surprise the way this match ended...
Waters joins The Black Flame: BOOOO!! HISSSSSSS!!!! Oh, erm, sorry again, couldn't help myself! So Eli Waters turns out to be an honourless scumbag who only thinks for himself. Well, it certainly made for a good heel turn!

Run 'N' Gun pre-match promo:  Wrote it, you're welcome! :-P

Tag Titles, Run 'N' Gun (c) vs Synth City Thrillers: I enjoyed this match, gotta say. Some good tag action, quick tags, tactical wrestling, and the Synth City Thrillers looking strong. Enjoyed Tommy cleaning shop as he doesn't regularly get to do that. And then out come Rhys Cain, sticks in the knife then twists it nice and slowly... bastard! :-P

Tag Titles, Tables match, Run 'N' Gun (c) vs Umbra Maxima: Ouch, that hurt! Not much to say really as it kinda happened so fast, but I think that was the point. Something to think of, Run N Gun have now lost the titles twice, both times after having competed and were at  a serious disadvantage, and both because of Rhys Cain!

Cain/Waters segment: Cain showing his true colours, really only thinking about his and his own. And Eli fully willing and able to take advantage of the situation.

Franchise Title, Black Flame vs Janiturs: I mean, ok... I liked the thing about this not being a sanctioned title, yet Zephyris insisted, and even threatened Carson, to be called champions. Was a decent match. The throwback to MONSTAR by thinking of JANISTAR as possibly undead was funny!

#1 Contender, Custom Cup Title, Battle Royal:

Universal Title, Paige (c) vs Waters: As someone who's gone through the same treatment, I feel for Paige. Being forced into a second match when isn't great! At least she had some chance to rest before her second match though! Brutal match that was well on it's way to being a repeat of their previous match! And then along came Moxie. And I loved the way she flaunted her help to Eli. This is going to be an interesting relationship!

No Disqualification, Carstein vs Inferno: This was a brutal match. And I'm so glad Carstein got his revenge. Some nasty spots , great action throughout. Both showing their toughness, both showing their penchant for violence. The use of weapons was good, but not over done. The promise of the thumbtacks really paid off, it was a great match throughout!

Well, this had a lot going on! Good stuff, though I feel like it could've been a bit much! :-P Still, I enjoyed it.

See, so many segs to review, I forgot one! :-P

#1 Contender, Custom Cup Title, Battle Royal: Right, so we thought we were all battle royaled out after the last show. Well, apparently not according to our 'illustrious' new GM or 4CW! Still, twas a stirring tale of wits and woe, strength and speedand ultimately, even though reading through, it felt like Senecca was gonna run away with it, what I consider to be something of a shock victory for Xavier Avana. Again, decent and frenetic action, though far easier to keep strait with only five competitors.

There, happy now Rhys?! :-P
