It was a good raw. D-Bry, IMO, is more over than Cena, at least to peeps with pubes. I think, though, that the IWC like D-Bry & Punk (besides because they are soopa doopa talented) because they are the anti-vince template. In the 80s, these guys would be 'john from [city of event]' - now, with the steroid-testing, Vinnie HAS to give these guys a chance.
Well here goes again, as usual this isn't a Review of the show as such, just some thought about the show as I watch...
Kicking off the show with D-Bry and I can't complain about that, a nice short promo well done before getting into the match, I was half expecting JBL to say "We fight on Friday Nights" after Orton said to Shut Up and Fight.. then i realised it was Raw not Smackdown ha. They obviously just setting it up for later in the show, but the little things always annoy me... Having the referee trying to pull them apart outside the ring then calling for the bell when he gets caught in the middle, just doesn't make sense as the referee job is to stay in the ring and issue the 10 count... Not a big deal, but sometimes the little things are the things that annoy me the most.
I heard that it is the USA Network that have said they want more McMahons on TV, so it is them we have to thank for these little segments haha...
I would much rather have seen a good match between Cody and Christian than have to see Sheamus again, they have already used Cody as a pawn in the Sandow and Sheamus feud so far and now they have Christian in the match teaming with Sheamus for no reason, Teddy Long must have made this match. Again Cody is used as a pawn to further Sandow and Sheamus feud a little...
Another boring Kaitlyn match got interrupted just in time by AJ and gotta admit, I never expected to see AJ come out dressed as Kaitlyn haha was an alright segment although i find it funny how Kaitlyn can be held back by a smaller Layla, at least now we know why Layla was out there ha.
Just in case you havn't seen any WWE programming all week, they replayed last weeks Raw yet again with Henry and Cena... I thought this would lead into one of them coming out, but i guess we will get to see the replay again later as here we go with a replay from Smackdown Main Event..
Still disappointed there is no Car entrance from ADR, I expected now he has turned heel again, they would bring back his car, maybe next week... Good match although we get the same counter into the Walls as on Smackdown and here comes Ziggler, I guess he isnt playing a full face at the moment, either that or he is practicing his babyface dickery (props to chux) for when he does a full turn haha. ID like to see Dolph lose against ADR but then win the MITB suticase in the same night at MITB, would be a nice setup...
More pushing and pulling of 'B-ricki' between Vince and Trips...
Cant say I'm too interested in the cover of the new video game so much, Vicki does know how to attract negative crowd response though, not many people are just hated on sight haha and then their is her little puppy dog, Brad Maddox... Not sure why they put the Rock on the cover though, when chances are he won't be back in WWe or perhaps this is a way to try and butter him up... but considering if he does get the role in Terminator 5 alongside Arnie, then they will be filming during WM XXX...
Oh Wow Ryback is up next.. he is back.. oh wow.. hang on, did i say wow i meant, oh crap... Fast Forward... At least they didn't let Ryback speak, but I'm not so sure on what kind of statement it is to have Ryback beat Khali I mean, it might 3MB can even do that!! so at least now we know Ryback is on par with 3MB...
Wow, so Cena points out that we know what the title is... Let's hear him dumb down WWE and bore us all then... Not sure how Mark Henry disgraced his family the only good thing i can say about this though, Is that I do like the idea of having the champion face a different opponent at each PPV, just like they used to back in the day...
Wish the tag match would have gone on longer, but its been sooo long since I've seen a 3 team Tag Match, and have missed them and all the aspects that Tag Team wrestling can bring besides just normal 2 on 2... I hope they keep pushing the Tag Division as they are doing...
Been looking forward to Punk and Heyman being in the same ring together, here we go... Nice bit of backstory from Punk.. Punk has a great ability to make things personable and it genuinely did feel like one friend talking to another and felt emotional from Punk As much as it all seems like Heyman is lying etc, you gotta admit, he lies very well and doesnt just say an empty lie, it always feels like it has some truth within it.. Definitely enjoying the storyline between the two and am glad it hasn't just ended within one show and it will be dragged out until Summerslam. Gotta say though, the croud has been shocking, the loudest they been was boo'ing Vicki.
The match with Young was OK, although you cant help but feel that this is still all a setup with Young tapping out so quickly, and Punk seeming surprised by it and then Titus looking a bit slow in the ring...
More McMahons on TV... ah well, big match for the MITB WWE match, bit more high flying than last year for the WWE title where Cena won, I guess we now know what RVD will be doing, although cant help but feel they are going to waste RVD a little bit as I'm guessing D-Bry is going to win the MITB, well hope so.... The crowd was dead again... Oh, Ryback gets to talk, Mr Charisma... Boring... At least we know Ryback is going to win at MITB and it will be Jericho's last match for a while as he tours with Fozzy...
Not sure why we need Henry to be out in the ring, he should just stay quiet and let his actions speak now after last week as it cant get better than that so why is he spoiling it...
Good Main Event between D-Bry and Randy, putting on another good match and D-Bry gaining some good momentum now, hopefully this will lead to a MITB victory, Good end to the show, and another Randy match that wasn't boring, altho D-Bry has alot to do with that...
