It appears that they are going ahead with a short Shield reunion.
I would be happy about it, as they were great together. But I can't be because they're only doing it to get Reigns over before having him face Lesnar for the title at Mania. Which just makes the move sad. What a shit reason... and all it'll do is make fans turn on Reigns even more at the end of this little reunion as people prefer him as part of the Shield.
While I agree it's a shit reason, it could actually work and get him over as a face. I'm not confident of that, I'm just saying, let's see what they give us first.
Plus, Shield reunion FTW. Even if we go back to normal after it, I'll still enjoy the short-lived reunion.

Oh it'll get him over. But only whilst they're together. The moment they split or he starts going after the title again, that's it. And fans will know that's the plan. It'll backfire and I can see crowd reaction being worse afterwards because of it.
I'm glad that it looks like they'll be going against the Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus. So much better than the Miz and his goonies. Definitely has the potential to be a really fun feud.
It'll be fun whilst it lasts. But fans these days will know that they're only doing it to get Reigns in favour with them for Mania, which will in turn make the fans turn against Reigns even more come that time. But during it, fans will be going wild for them, as evidenced by the end of Raw, which will give Vince little hard-ons and he'll think that Reigns being on his own going for the title again is what fans want because they're now cheering him.
No Vince, what fans want is to be entertained. The Shield is entertaining. Reigns matches can be entertaining as he's rally not as bad as some people think, he's improved massively. Mic work leaves a lot to be desired. How they book him in some matches leaves an awful lot to be desired, like having him do the Superman punch over and over like it's his only move. Better booking gets him over. Beating Lesnar won't do it. In fact, another Mania match with Lesnar won't do it.
I'm looking forward to having the Shield back though. It will be good whilst it lasts.

Saving grace for me would be if they finally embraced the fans hate. Have Reigns be the one to double cross the team this time round. Go into the Lesnar match as a full heel. That would make it worthwhile. He'd be over huge as a heel and it would play to his strengths. Perfect opportunity for it and reason for it as well... double crossing them before another Rollins incident happens... or he wants to aspire to higher than what they are and go all arrogant. If they go that route, it'll be worth it. But I reckon the chances of that are very low.
