Raw 29/05/17 & Smackdown 30/05/17 Talk

Raw
Dean Ambrose, Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy vs. Sheamus, Cesaro & The Miz was a pretty good tag match. I get bored of the long promo's starting Raw and now Smackdown every week. But this one led into a pretty good match so not going to complain. There was nothing really different to what we've seen between all these guys previously, but they all seem to work well together. Would be nice to see something new, for the guys in there to mix things up a bit, etc, but as a standard match between them it was good. They can mix things up at a PPV and surprise us with just how good a match they can really put on.

A mystery story with Angle. Has my interest. What could ruin him? Maybe he's the one attacking Enzo? Or maybe he's getting Cass to do it, since it's been rumoured for a long time that WWE want Cass to be a big man on his own.

Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe vs. Bray Wyatt was good enough. Can't express enough how much I dislike Balors finisher. Only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured with that move.

No interest in Crews or O'Neil. They're both nothing but filler and a waste of viewing time. Maybe it would be better feuding them with someone that the fans actually care about to build them up.

The Bayley and Bliss promo was just awful. I can't really say anything other than that. Was just awful. No more shit like this please. I really don't care about their match at Extreme Rules because it's all so poorly booked for them.

Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns was another good match. Expect it between them though since they spent so many years together as top guys.

Not a bad Raw really. Wasn't great, but was okay. Some good matches though which helped. If it wasn't for the ones mentioned it would have been very forgettable.

Smackdown
Shinsuke Nakamura & Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin & Kevin Owens was alright. Could have been better, but not a bad TV match. It was at the level where if every TV match hit this level then the whole show would be very good. But when a lot of matches get 1/5 stars then a match like this is just okay and doesn't elevate the whole show. That make sense?

New Day are getting a title shot? For what? Don't get me wrong, they're great. Absolutely love them. But since moving to Smackdown they've done nothing. At least give them a match against a team like Breezango or American Alpha or someone to "earn" the title shot. Always makes me laugh when a team or wrestler just says they're having a title shot and everyone is okay with it. Like what is the point in the GM? For all we know though in this instance they were told it, but still, give them a match to show that they're number one contenders.

A Fatal 5 Way Elimination Match between the women? On board with that. Love it when matches are elimination style. Match didn't start though and it was a mass brawl. Disappointing, but the brawl was quite good and it set up an interesting PPV match. The first ever women’s Money in the Bank match. Should hopefully be good.

Mahal has to have better material written for him and he needs to work on his delivery. Comes across a bit wooden. All things that can easily be improved though if the effort is put in. Hopefully they work on that.

AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler. A dream match that I wish was on PPV. Was probably my favourite match over the two shows and I wish they were given more time. Very surprised to see Ziggler win, but then I realised that it's Styles home town so of course he was going to lose. A clean win for Ziggler though. I like it. Once Ziggler is done feuding with Nakamura, which I assume will pick up after MITB, I want a Ziggler and Styles feud. If this match was anything to go by, it would be great.

Overall
Smackdown easily won this week.
