WWE are putting on a Network Special this Friday from Norwich, where the UK Championship will be defended. And to make it even better, Jim Ross will be on commentary.

WWE UK Champion Tyler Bate defends his title against Mark Andrews.
Pete Dunne and Trent Seven will have a match to determine the number one contender to the UK Championship as well, with the title match taking place at NXT TakeOver: Chicago on Saturday.
Woldgang faces Joseph Conners.
Rich Swann & Dan Moloney take on TJ Perkins & Brian Kendrick in tag team action.

It will be a 90 minute special.

WWE Network will stream the WWE United Kingdom Championship Special this Friday, May 19, at 3 p.m. ET, with a re-airing in primetime at 8 p.m. ET. The action will be called by WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross, who will be joined by color analyst Nigel McGuinness.

Emanating from Norwich, England, WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate defends his title against the high-flying Mark Andrews, Pete Dunne and Trent Seven battle to become the No. 1 contender to face the U.K. Champion at NXT TakeOver: Chicago this Saturday, Wolfgang faces Joseph Conners, and Rich Swann & Dan Moloney take on TJP & The Brian Kendrick in a tag team match.

“The WWE United Kingdom Championship Special will showcase some of the best talent from the U.K.,” WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Paul “Triple H” Levesque said. “This is an opportunity to super-serve our fans in the U.K., as well as fans anywhere who appreciate the U.K. style.”

The sad and disappointing news is the time that they're showing it. It's being filmed in Norwich, England, yet being shown at 1am. Why not show it at a normal time for us? It's not like Raw and Smackdown where they have commitments. It's a Network Special. Show it at a normal time for us.

Apart from that gripe though, it's good to see the UK Championship being used. It will get defended twice in quick succession.

It's about time it was defended. Hopefully becomes a regular thing. So far though he's held the title for a third of a year and not defended it once.

Agree about the timing though. Makes no sense to show it at 1am over here. The UK is once again shafted by WWE when it comes to the Network.

If it's 3pm eastern time that should mean 8 pm for us, not 1 am, so pretty much perfect for the UK ;-)

The prime time re-air will be at 1 am but the actual stream will be at 8 pm.

I read a report earlier on that said it's not being shown over here until 1am. Seen a few saying that actually. Couldn't be bothered with working out the times myself 😄

Good if it isn't that late, as that would just be stupid.

Well, people only seem to be seeing the prime time airing. For once, Trips is actually doing the UK a favour it seems! :-P

I've checked again and now see this:

The special, which could pave the way for a regular WWE Network show emanating from the UK, was originally set to premiere at 1am BST. But the first broadcast of the programme has been changed to the UK audience-friendly time of 8pm BST.

That's much better 🙂

Was definitely listed as being shown at 1am. But happy days. Someone in WWE seems to have seen sense. Makes me wonder whether people complained haha.
