Strowman injury worse than thought

We all knew that Strowman would be missing the next PPV because of his injury. He was expected to be out for just over a month. 2 months max.

Well... he's had surgery and he's going to miss 6 months.

Immediately after the assault on Strowman’s injured shoulder and elbow by the former WWE Champion, The Monster Among Men left Raw in an ambulance and was able to get back to the United States for an evaluation this past Wednesday. Following the medical consultation, Strowman underwent surgery on Thursday in Birmingham, Ala. with Dr. Jeffrey Dugas. During the procedure, it was revealed, among his other injuries, that Strowman's elbow had been shattered, and he is expected to miss up to six months of action as a result.

The use of the word 'shattered' has lead to some people saying that it could be a work, because if your elbow was shattered you wouldn't be able to really move your arm. Eh... when I broke my arm, I had an extra joint but could still move my fingers. Not much and couldn't get any power with them at all, but I could move them. But I've never shattered my elbow so can't comment on how much you'd be able to move your arm in that case. Anyways... people are expecting him to do a "Cena return" to show everyone how much of a beast he is, and actually only be out for something like 2 months like originally stated.

If the 6 months is legit, it could do his character some good. The problem with beastly heels is that they can get stale. Strowman is on a role and very entertaining at the moment, so if he's out for 6 months his return will be huge and seem fresh as he works his way through beasting everyone again.

It's a shame for him though, he's on the run of his life.

Main Event

It'll be a work. They'd have just said what is actually wrong with his elbow otherwise, instead of over exaggerating it by saying "shattered". No way it is shattered. I expect he'll be back in 2 months like originally planned and will run in and stop Reigns from winning the title or something.

-- As noted before, WWE's timetable for Braun Strowman's recovery is "up to six months" but that is a work according to Wrestling Observer Radio. He is expected to be ready in two months - with plenty of time to spare for Summerslam.

-- The likely scenario is that WWE is trying to set the public expectation that Strowman will be gone for a long time, only for him to show up around mid-July, surprising everyone and setting up his match with Brock Lesnar.

Just found this. There doesn't appear to be any wrestling news sites that believe the injury is anywhere near 6 months and is still the original 2 that was stated.
