If we continue (atleast here in the states) to deny that man is causing climate change. That will lead to our demise. There are a few other things that could happen before our planet becomes totally unhabitable because of that though. Right now I think the biggest possibility is a all out nuclear war or an asteroid that will whipe out mankind.

Having common sense and acknowledging humans impact on the climate and the earth isnt "tree hugging". Its just common sense!

I expect that we'll ravage the earth of all natural resources and whilst starting to build colonies out in our solar system, Mars in particular, but also the asteroid belt and the moons of Jupiter and Saturn before eventually going beyond. Meanwhile on earth, the population will continue to grow and the cities will increase in size, eventually merging and building up into massive hive cities and even these merging to cover almost the entire planet in cityscape. (think Holy Terra in Warhammer 40K or Courecant) Humanity will survive mainly due to hydroponics based both on Earth and probably in space stations. If we've cracked terraforming, then Mars will be the obvious choice, especially considering the multitude of IP's that have terraformed Mars, so why not continue the trend.... But essentially we'll start the whole process again there, BECAUSE HUMANITY NEVER LEARNS!!!

I reckon we're going to end up killing each other off. Full on apocalypse all of our own making. North Korea will piss someone off, or Russia will. It will all kick off, nuclear missiles flying all over the place. Gorgrim is right in that humanity never learns - except it's all about war. History has shown that we don't learn from that as we've certainly had more than enough of them. North Korea still continue to test nuclear weapons despite being told to stop. It's the start people. It's the start.
Are we doomed for an apocalypse?
Maybe we're destined to make a new Earth elsewhere?
What about being stuck in space with no habitual planet available to us?
Will we be wiped out by global warming or survive on with a scorching Earth?
Are we going to end up so cramped with humans that we all basically live on top of each other?
Will iRobot become a reality?
Will dinosaurs once again rule supreme?
Will Judge Dredd become a reality?
So many questions! What do you guys think the future will hold for Earth?
