Hey i'm glad you did this, i was meaning to last weekend but then got sidetracked and then new years came and all that...
I'll pop back in tomorrow to post my picks, but do you think you could consider a comeback wrestler of the year category? I know most improved wrestler could be taken in a few ways... like i kinda feel like Jericho has been the wwe comeback wrestler of the year... while you could say i feel the miz has improved the most.
Or if you don't care if the rest of us when we post add that in or whatever else we might want to.
alas this topic was created by you so i'll leave that up to you.
Also good having you here, new people around here are needed and i think will start to bring the best out of us old members.
Yeah man, add any additional cattegory that you want. I couldn't think of any more, but if anyone wants to add in more categories then that's cool.

Male Singles: AJ Styles - he's had a fantastic first year in the company and I hope 2017 is just as good or better.
Women's Singles: Sasha Banks. I'm not picking Charlotte because 1) she's overrated 2) her mic work is like listening to your grandmother having sex aka you'd rather kill yourself than listen to it. Charlotte's a good wrestler, but so is Sasha, and when Sasha speaks it doesn't make me want to murder people (and it's not a "she annoys me cos she's a heel" thing, it's a "she annoys me because her mic work consists of one level: incessant shouting" thing). Sasha on the other hand has a good look, decent on the mic, great wrestler, and has given me some of my favourite womens wrestling moments this year (granted some of those were with Charlotte).
Mic work: Chris Jericho. He's on the best run of his life, he's funny, he tells a story, his psychology is on point. Can't say a thing wrong about him.
Tag Team: The New Day - but I really like what they've done with Cesaro/Sheamus. If Cesaro/Sheamus were formed earlier in the year it might be a closer contest.
Most Improved: Braun Strowman. Guy was green as fuck a year ago now he's a legit monster.... but The Miz is a close second.
Best Comeback: Jericho. Form of his life. Nothing else needs saying.
Most Disappointing (Singles): Let's give a big hand to Apollo Crews, who was the quickest call up in NXT history and has done a grand total of.. nothing on the main roster. He has no gimmick, he has no personality traits I can cling on to for hope, he hasn't had a single standout match on the main roster and has been booked as a glorified jobber.
Most Disappointing (Tag): A lot of tag teams have been criminally under utilized this year but none as much as The Club. Unsatisfying feuds, awful "comedy" skits and just all around they've been a big, fat flop in WWE (and I blame their booking more so than them, although they shoulder some of the blame).

Male Singles: Styles gets the nod from me. He's taken the ball and the support the WWE has given him and he has just own the role. I may be a bit biased here since I was a hardcore TNA fan for so many years. I love seeing Styles doing what he is doing. But he got the nod to pin Cena clean. He seems miles above anyone on Smackdown. He continues to have huge matches and delivers night in and night out. I love this dude.
Women's Singles: It is so hard to not give the nod to Charlotte. Shes the top woman in all of WWE. She potrays herself that way. A win over her will mean so much for any other woman not named for Sasha Banks. Charlotte has always seemed like the true champ, even if Sasha was. That might be WWEs fault. But my nod still goes to Flair.
Mic work: I feel like should give the nod to Jericho. Jericho is awesome and everything he has done is great. I'm giving my nod to AJ Styles, because if you ever saw AJ as a heel in TNA. It was never something you could buy into. This year AJ Styles has made himself a heel that you can buy into and that is because of his mic work.
Tag Team: Tie between the New Day and Enzo and Cass. Because while New Day were the champs. Enzo and Cass were the shit. They were the most over tag team on the roster for a good portion of the year. Both tag teams did great.
Most Improved: The Miz. Can't even argue it. He went from a mediocre mid carder who undersivingly got the WWE Championship. To making himself have a legit argument to why he should have the belt. He from the Jack Swaggers of the MITB champions, to a legit main eventer.
One I want to throw into here is most disappointing tag team. The most disappointing tag team are the USOS. Maybe they shouldnt be so disappointing to me. I've never gotten into them. Their matches have always been on point. Their heel run so far has been a failure and uninteresting.

Male Singles: AJ Styles easily. When WWE sign someone as good as him it makes me worry what they'll do to them, as we've seen good wrestlers get ruined before by having their move set dumbed down. AJ Styles tho has shone and if anyone was in any doubt as to how good he is, I reckon he's proved them wrong. Quickly risen to the top, which is quite clearly his rightful place.
Women's Singles: Charlotte. No contest really. Probably one of the best women wrestlers ever, and I truly mean that. Its a bold statement, but she has it all. Good on the mic, very talented wrestler. Shea the gold standard for women's wrestling. A few more women close to her standards and WWE would have hell of a division.
Mic work: Jericho. I'd usually pick Heyman by default as he's superb all the time. We didn't see enough of him in 2016 though and Jericho has given us some of his best ever work. The list of Jericho is simply great and he's managed to get over the word "it".
Tag Team: The New Day. I don't think this requires any explanation 😄
Most Improved: The Miz. You don't usually get to class a former world champion in a category like this, but after a fe years of falling stock, The Miz is on the rise. His infamous promo on Daniel Bryan was the best promo of the year and will likely go down in history as one of the best. It was that good. Its not just that promo tho as his ring work seems to have improved dramatically, almost like he has a completely new lease on life. Long my it continue.
