I like Mario Kart but the SNES version is probably one of my least favourites... so Pokemon Yellow for me.

Somebody made a Crack that this whole thing is going to come down Zelda games, but sadly I think it's going to come down to a shit load of Pokémon games. Not sure why the yellow version gets its own listing either. Mario kart should win this round. My vote is Mario kart.

Because it's a different game with new gameplay elements, new story, characters who aren't in Red/Blue... it's sort of like a sequel.
And the reason why there's a shit load of Pokemon games is because not enough people voted, meaning I had to randomly select 35 of the remaining games from the nominations and alot of Pokemon games were nominated lol.

Welcome to the Greatest Nintendo Game of All Time contest, first round.
The matchups were randomly decided.
I will put the matches up every other day, and each round will be open for three days (so there'll probably be 2 or 3 matches taking place at any one time). I want to get through the first round as quickly as possible.
ROUND ONE, MATCH NINETEEN
Super Mario Kart (SNES)
Super Mario Kart is a 1992 go-kart racing video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System video game console and is the first game of the Mario Kart series. Selling nine million copies worldwide, the game went on to become the third best selling SNES game of all time. Super Mario Kart received positive reviews and was praised for its presentation, innovation and use of Mode 7 graphics. It has been ranked among the best games of all time by several organizations including Edge, IGN, The Age and GameSpot, while Guinness World Records has named it as the top console game ever.
Pokemon Yellow (GB/GBC)
Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition, more commonly known as Pokémon Yellow Version, is a 1998 role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy handheld video game console. It is an enhanced version of Pokémon Red and Blue. Differences included improved sprites, a Pikachu that follows you in the overworld, a new storyline with Team Rocket as they are seen in the anime and a slightly increased difficulty curve. Since its release, Pokémon Yellow has been well received by critics. IGN's Craig Harris praised the game's mechanics, commenting that Yellow was the best game of the three to start with. He gave it a perfect score. The standard cartridge sold over 600,000 units in its first week and more than one million copies by the next week, becoming the fastest selling handheld game of all time when it was released.
