WWE Extreme Rules 2016

Ok, I think I'm having a spot of deja vu. We have had Payback already right....? :-P

New match added to the card quite late - The Usos vs. Anderson & Gallows in a tornado tag match. Can't remember the last time we had one of those. It's a pretty good looking PPV really... a lot of similarities to Payback, yet better.

Kinda hoping for a comedy gimmick to be added to the tag title match and Kalisto's defense...maybe just falls count anywhere

Yeah it's a bit odd that there's nothing special about those two matches. Especially the US Title match. Should have given that one some sort of gimmick, even if it's something simple.

I've missed pretty much the whole build up to the PPV, but I probably will tune in on Sunday. I usually tune into PPVs more often than Raw. What the hell is this Aslyum Match? Can anyone tell me?

It's essentially a cage match with weapons hanging above the top sides of the cage. No escaping to win - must be pin or submission.

Think a slightly crappier version of the Lethal Lockdown match. It's one on one and with far fewer weapons.

I hate when they make a cage match with weapons hanging on the cage.. Then try to call it something and make it out be like it is its own match type.. GAH!

Only caught the last half of the PPV, well I started watching at the end of the Asylum Match. I heard the Fatal Four Way was awesome. Once again the divas match ended in something really dumb... Kind of ruins the match for me. The main event was really really good. Just like last month. They suspended my disbelief into thinking AJ had it won two times.. I can't believe they fooled me.

Something about Reigns and Styles clicks though, they have great chemistry together. AJ Styles really makes Roman look good too, almost hiding all his weak points. Styles has really proven that he belongs in the WWE Main Event. Two PPVs in a row he has torn the house down! I just hope after this they don't push him into limbo after this and do nothing with him. Which I think is unlikely, but WWE never ceases to amaze me. Super Roman will be champ for a long time to come.

Rollins coming back was the highlight of an already eventful main event! The crowd went nuts for it as everyone expected. I heard those rumors about him coming back as heel... I guess we really don't know what he is right now. I mean Roman is supposedly a face right? People keep predicting this "heel" turn from Roman, but I don't see it happening. Well i'm excited for Raw tonight.

You missed absolutely nothing with the Asylum match. Awful. Worst match of the night by far, which is a surprise given the two guys that were in the match.

Fatal Four Way is probably the best match of the year - on the main roster. You should try and check that one out.

It really annoyed me when Reigns kicked out of the Styles Clash onto the chairs. If that was the first Styles Clash he's taken, I'd accept it a bit more. Kicking out of one finisher is fine. But to kick out of a second that is onto a chair... no. Now they're booking Reigns like they booked Cena, so it's no wonder fans boo him. Apart from that though, I thought it was a good match. Second best match of the night I'd say.

And love that Rollins is back. Seriously, good luck trying to keep him as a heel.

Yeah I didn't like the Super Roman parts of the match. But it was a really good match, mostly due to Styles. Its like they put Styles in the Main Event with Roman to make him look good. I like what they are doing with the main event the last two PPVs with Styles and Roman. The Gallows and Anderson thing is really adding a new twist to it and finally the Usos are getting involved with Roman. Remember when they would be no where in sight when Roman was getting his ass kicked a few months ago?

Anything with Chris Jericho in 2016 being labeled underwhelming does not come as a shock to me. Basically everything he has done in the ring has been kind of .. blah.. Like its good, but you are Chris Jericho, its not Jericho good. You're losing a step bud. He's still excellent on the mic though. Some of the shit he says really cracks me up.

Seen a lot of people complaining about the ending of the WWE Title match - all about how weak AJ comes off from it, not being able to pin Reigns after he took a double-team finisher, a Styles Clash, a kick and then a Styles Clash on a chair... then gets pinned from one finisher from Reigns.

It's a shame that that's what people are talking about, when it was actually a good match... but that's just been forgotten because of how terribly they booked the finish with Reigns looking unbeatable no matter what you do to him.

There are reports going around that WWE still have big plans for AJ, despite losing to Reigns again. Let's hope that's true. He needs to be main eventing a lot more and hopefully in the near future will be holding the WWE Title.
