Game of Thrones

The only character I actually like is Arya, and we're lucky to get one scene with her each week. It's as bad as season three of Lost, where all anyone wanted to see was John Locke's storylines and they focused way too heavily on Jack, Kate and Sawyer being locked up in the polar bear cages.

And what's the big deal with the red wedding? Maybe I had it spoiled a bit too much, but I couldn't care less that Robb and his mum died. And the only person it could affect is Sansa, and she was already so miserable for so long that it made no difference. I don't know why we're supposed to care about white walkers, we've seen them three times now, one where he looked at Sam and did nothing, one where Sam killed one, and one where they were given a baby. These guys are supposed to be a threat? Good CGI on the zombie horse though. And dragons? People were pissed that they kept teasing the dragons and not delivering? Psh.

In fact, that's the biggest issue I have about the show. I'd be fine with everything else if they were to tell me what I'm supposed to look forward to. Every show in history has some end game, some climax that we're supposed to anticipate. Lost had reveals about the island and the possible escape, Stargate had the war with the Goa'uld, even that disappointment Revolution had the possibility of turning the lights back on. What are we building towards in Game of Thrones? We know we're going to get three or four more years of this and for what, Daenerys burning King's Landing with her dragons? Maybe?

Again, I'm not as down on it as I sound, it's fine, but I'm not getting why it's the best show of all time.

How could you not care about Robb's journey? He was avenging his father the guy we all can get behind who got fucked over, and he only lost because he wasn't diplomatic enough, it shows us that everything isn't so black and white and the good guys don't always win. It seems that's what's bothering you though, the fact that it doesn't always go the conventional way of telling a story.

I agree with he paragraph about wondering what the end game is. By now I'm assuming it's Dany coming to save the day against the white walkers with her Dragons, but both of them are taking so long and are so disconnected to the main story it makes me think what gives them the right when the whole show has been basically about the Starks and Lannisters. The point about Lost is right too, I really don't care about Bran's story anymore. I want him to be one of the guys that gets killed prematurely like his Dad and Brother. Tyrion is a bit played out and he annoys me more than entertains me nowadays, especially watching Dinklage struggle with the accent.

The best way to remember people is just to remember the family names and the people affiliated with them. For example; Lannisters: Tywin, Incest Twins, Dwarf, Dwarf's bodyguard, Dwarf's whore, Jaime's transsexual girlfriend etc etc.
