WrestleMania 32

Nice to see three matches announced straight away like that, so there's time to build. WWE have been particularly lazy recently with feuds and announcing what matches will be on PPV, so it's great that they've gotten the announcements of these out the way and now they can build them up.

Loved part of how the Ambrose vs Lesnar match was set up - the walking over his face. Such a dick heel move. Should be a good match, especially with the stip added. Should be one of the better matches on the card.

The Shane vs Taker one is going to be odd. Not only are they both old now, who's going to be cheered? The reactions Shane got on Raw was ridiculous and amazing, but will they cheer him against Taker? Would they cheer him beating Taker? Would be fun to see Taker align himself with Vince before Mania, I've always preferred Taker as a heel.

Not really interested in Triple H vs Reigns. Fans don't seem to be either. Once again their booking of Reigns is ruining him. Fans are cheering Triple H as the heel authority figure, so surely they must know that they're messing this up AGAIN. When Reigns wins at Mania (this will be the most locked on result of the event) they should turn him heel on the Raw afterwards. It'll be the only way to save him as fans will be shitting all over him.

So far though, with just 3 matches announced, it already feels like a Wrestlemania card - which is pleasing.

Shane vs. Taker so far is the most intriguing match up. I hope that Bray Wyatt gets a match up on this card and doesn't just get jammed up in a multi man match or the battle royal. Are they doing the Andre Battle Royal this year?

I've read that they are. Wish they wouldn't though, unless it's on the pre-show. I've never like the whole throw as many people onto the card as possible thing. I know it's good for the wrestlers to get that pay-day that Mania brings, but it doesn't do anything for the quality of the show. I'd rather they used that time to go towards a good match, even if it's an exhibition match - doesn't need a feud, just a simple "let's have a match on the biggest stage of them all" type agreements. Imagine AJ comes out on Raw and says that he's always wanted a match at Mania so let's make it a good one and calls out Austin Aries - he's not interested in a feud, just wants an exhibition match against someone who could match his style to put on a show for the fans. Would be great and better than a clusterfuck of a match where loads of people are just thrown together. Not all good singles matches on the Mania card need to be feuds.

Hopefully though teh Andre Battle Royal is on the pre-show though  🙂

I don't like Battle Royals in general, to me they are boring. I liked the Money in the Bank at Mania because it was a way to get alot of people on the card but it was also fun, because it was a fun match type with a good gimmick. I'm totally fine with it being on the pre show myself.

Ah, the MITB is the only real multi-man match that I like. It's at least entertaining most of the time. But yeah, could not give a shit about a Battle Royal as they're just boring.

I'll get murdered for saying this, but I've never thought the Rumble was even that exciting of a match. I mean, I like it.. but, its not something I look forward to all year. Alot of the times I like the other matches on the card better.

The Rumble I can deal with. It can really be hit or miss though as there have been some god awful ones. But they're better than Battle Royals as it's paced, instead of just everyone in the ring at once with very little happening apart from quick eliminations.

Updated card... could do without another Usos/Dudleys Match but overall, it's coming together as a decent card.

The New Day vs League of Nations isn't for the Tag Titles though is it? I hope not, and form what I've seen/read, it currently isn't. Which means there's not tag title match on the card. Not that that's a bad thing, as I love New Day with the titles so want that to continue.

That is a bad thing. Its WrestleMania! The tag titles should be on the line! They have been the last few weeks.

If the match isn't for the titles it renders the match pointless. That's no good for a Mania card.

If the titles were on anyone else, I'd agree that it's a bad thing. In fact, if I had confidence that WWE weren't going to push LON over New Day at Mania I'd want the tag titles on the line as it'd be a good win for them - but I can see WWE pushing LON and they shouldn't have the tag titles in my opinion. I've heard a few places saying that it's going to be a 3-on-4 match, in which case the titles should definitely not be on the line.

Maybe it'd have been better if they'd do one of those Tag Team Turmoil matches where when a team is pinned a new one comes out - I've liked them the few times it's been done.

Not every title needs to be on the line though - that's what Night of Champions is for. Makes that PPV more unique. With the WWE, IC, US & Diva's title on the line, makes sense to not have a tag team title match. Would be more weird not having a IC or US title match, and it's only a matter of time before the IC title match is announced, there's no way they're missing Owens from the card.

Also, I love the "the no-one cares match" - so true. Should also add that to the Andre Battle Royal.

We'll have to agree to disagree because if the champions are on the WrestleMania card, I think the titles have to be on the line, no question.

I think it's odd that there doesn't seem like there'll be any NXT guys at Wrestlemania. Especially given that they're doing NXT: Dallas two or three nights before which is just weird timing. Kind of disappointing really, would have been a good showcase for them and they deserve a shot on the card just as much as most of the guys on the main roster. Even if it was just the NXT Championship on the card it'd be something. It's a shame for NXT as a whole really that they are being shunned for the biggest wrestling event of the year.

They are part of WrestleMania weekend though, and will be the focus on Friday with no doubt a great show. Not too bad for a development brand. I actually like how they have their own three hours instead of just the WrestleMania opener.

As it stands I'm more excited for TakeOver.

I definitely see Zayn vs Owens on the main card. A bit rushed, yes, but I'll take it!!

7 hours?! That's just too bloody long! even the die hard wrestling fans would get board long before the main event.... especially looking at WWE's past performances when it comes to show pacing...

ok, so spread over 2 nights... that's better. Actually, that'd be pretty standard.

I think the HoF is usually the night before thinking about it. They'll probably just show a shortened down version of it for people that missed it. 4 hours for Mania main show, and 3 of HoF roundups, mates and a shit load of advertising. But yeah, definitely couldn't sit through 7 hours... way too long.

The pre-show is usually and hour too, so that would at least cut down the amount of adverts slightly....

I'm Not including HOF. I meant 2 hr preshow, 5 hour show.

Last year was 2 hour pre, 4 main show, so it's not that out of the ordinary.

That's what I think. Cole said something like "join us on WrestleMania night for seven hours or entertainment" ...  Not the weekend tho, I think he specifically said WrestleMania night.
