That video had better be set up. Awful if it isn't and that legit happened. Being trained by one of the worst female wrestlers in Eva Marie isn't a good start for anyone tho. Nattie would probably be a great trainer.
Ugh.... you'd think with this whole "Divas Revolution" thing they'd stop employing people based solely on their look. I expect she'll be just as bad if not worse than Eva Marie - and pushed just as strongly if not more. I know the winner Sara Lee is probably worse than Amanda, in the ring, but she's not getting a major role in a reality show like Amanda. Amanda and Sara Lee should have both been thrown into the performance center and if they don't perform, thrown out. When it comes to womens wrestling, they need to start pushing people based on talent first and looks later, or else we'll never get out of the shitty treatment "divas" get in wrestling.

Set up, though I get the vibe of just another pretty face that gets attention til the boners die down, like many before her.
Also, I still find it weird / lame / insulting that the E produces reality TV now. I'm pretty out of the loop, it's likely been years but yeah.

Total Divas is an entertaining show, if you want to know about the every day lives of these women but they do add these weird scenes usually once an episode for entertainment purposes. I remember one episode where Natalya apparently thought she had eaten weed brownies so she crashed her car so she couldn't go in for a drug test. It was obviously fake but it seemed really weird having it on the show, even in kayfabe terms - she knows the show is recorded so surely even entertainment wise it doesn't make sense?
Apart from the odd weird forced entertainment scenes though, the usual content of the show is interesting.

I'll take your word for it presently. In wrestling, I prefer biographies (well, particularly autobiographies, for obvious reasons) and documentaries. Show me the unfiltered real or show me the stuff I need to suspend disbelief for - the two don't mix well in wrestling. I don't suspend disbelief outside of the characters, promos, backstage interaction and squared circle, as a general rule. The main obvious exception being The Wrestler, which was pretty damn good.

I watch Total Divas every once in a while. I usually end up watching a few episodes. I enjoy it, but can't help but feel that its not entirely real..

Loved The Wrestler. One of my favourite films. Mickey Rourke is incredible.

He obviously put a lot into the role and getting into the mindset, the head-space brought on by the lifestyle. I believe I read somewhere back in the day that it moved Piper to tears.

Yeah, I think I read something like that too... and kudos to the filmmakers for including Ring of Honor, real wrestlers and other things to make it feel really authentic. That really added to the experience. We've seen loads of Randy "The Ram" Robinson types in pro wrestling history so it was great.

Proving Ground was a great behind the scenes look at the trainee's in NXT over 10 episodes. No bias, just showing them trying to make it to WWE.
Total Diva's does have the wacky stuff on there. Its probably the only place we'll get to see Daniel Bryan on a routinely basis now. Him trying to go more eco friendly like when he put a composting toilet in his shed. They've got some kind of eco-friendly venture they're trying to get off the ground at the minute, which I'm sure will be successful.

It's Mandy from Tough Enough. She didn't win but got a 5 year contract anyway. She's teamed up with Eva Marie as Red & Gold on Total Diva's and they've been training together. Picture that, the blind leading the blind. Anyway, Nattie Neidhart offered to help train Mandy on her day off at the Performance Centre, below is what happened.
