Raw Discussion Thread

Odd to see Reigns winning the title on Raw - not that that's a bad thing, as it's always nice to see these things happen once in a while on a show that's not a PPV... just seems weird though with how it was all booked. Was a great punishment for Reigns. Correct decision to take the title of Sheamus as well, such a weak champion with how he's been booked all year.

I didn't get to see raw last night because i'm staying at two places right now... but my brother was texting me throughout the show with video clips and all. and i was just surprised with all of it... i don't wanna get all excited especially because i haven't seen it myself but it feels like change is in the air a bit... i hope so... last nights show seemed special for some reason... i give them credit for trying if they did.... i heard the street fight was pretty hardcore for raw these days... i like a good street fight though.

also not to jump around too much that ladder spot at tlc during the tag match was insane.

Raw last night was the best in months but Christmas is around the corner so I expect terrible comedy skits and Santa (Sandow) being executed or something next week.

I guess Charlotte has officially gone heel now then. About time, might actually add something to her character which was bland as hell. Randomly doing a WOOO every now and again just to show that you're Flair's daughter isn't was her sole character before. She'll still do them, but at least now there should hopefully be more to her.

Ziggler losing to Slater is a new low in his career. Really is such a shame to see.

Huge announcement about Rumble as well. Not sure I like it, but it'll definitely be different and interesting. Can't see Triple H winning it though, just because I can't see him being champion again as he is practically retired (more part time than Lesnar). Although I wouldn't put it past them. Would be a massive shock to me though.

I love how Lesnar isn't a face or a heel. He just doesn't care, he will take out anyone. Just how his character should be.

I'm so happy to see Kalisto win the US Title. Can't stand Del Rio and Kalisto has gotten major over last few months. Good for him.

Found it hilarious that Vince couldn't open some of those balls, right after Steph was saying how much of a specimen of a man he is.

I thought Jericho ejecting everyone was great. The crowd popped huge for it and Jericho just rolled with it. The half cartwheel ejection was hilarious. Pretty uneventful Raw. What happened to the Jeritron? I guess budget cuts hit everyone ehh? I'm wondering when they will fully get behind Bray Wyatt and put the title on him. I guess we will have to wait a year or two until this Roman Reigns mega push ends. Scratch that maybe we will have to wait 5 years haha. Kalisto (I think I spelled that right) really has gotten over hasnt he? Or is it just the "LUCHA! LUCHA!" chant?

Is Wade Barret still injured? He never wrestles. I just don't like Barret at all. I was hoping Xavier Woods would debut a new instrument to use during matches. But if we could all take a moment of silence for the trombone....

Yeah Barret is still injured. He's great, just they ruin him every time. The suit jacket and rose was the best he's done, and he could have led Nexus into something big - but they got Cena'd. Since then it's like they don't know what to do with him. He's good on the mic and a good wrestler. A shame that they don't invest some time into him properly really.

He does keep getting injured too. He said on Jericho's podcast that everytime he starts getting momentum he gets injured. I'm sure that he wanted to say other things too but hes still with WWE and would get buried

Last nights Raw was brutal. I was so tired and was really wanting to go to sleep. But kept willing myself to get through to atleast Styles and Taker. Other than all that it was painfully boring. I don't know how it ended because I had enough and went to sleep. I do like that Ambrose is getting a title shot! Itd be great if he won, I know he wouldn't get into Mania as the champ, but even for a week or until Smackdown then he drops the belt back.

It'd be great if they did let Ambrose go to Mania as champ though. Would really add something to the whole feel of WWE. Every time they do a title match when one it already locked in for a PPV I don't get how anyone can get excited for it. The title won't be dropped so it's just another match. Non-title would be more entertaining as at least you know the challenger has a chance of winning. Would be great if for once something like Ambrose winning and going to Mania as champ, changing the planned main event. It'd actually get people excited for other title matches in similar situations as there would be the possibility of a title change happening, however small.

Do you think at that point they would make it a Triple Threat match? The triple threat for the title at Mania is becoming kind of redundant right? Maybe I'm wrong. But I agree, Ambrose having the title would be schweeeeet. It would bring up alot of questions. Like does Lesnar get a shot? Since him and Dean are already in a match? Will Dean be pulling double duty? It would be fun, buts its WWE.

They could have right fun with it. Triple H demands his rematch at Mania, making it a triple threat match. Heyman complains that Lesnar had a contract to face Ambrose at Mania and WWE have to honour that and suddenly we have a fatal four way match. Would be awesome, although it would leave the card one match short. Basically, there's not even the smallest of chances of it happening. Shame really, they could really play up the whole "anything can happen" thing then.

Yeah I guess from a business stand point it makes sense to keep Lesnar and Ambrose apart from Reigns and HHH, because why throw them together when you can have two big matches instead of one... Still a interesting scenario.

One thing that doesn't make sense is if Shane got control of Raw, how would that make him Triple H's boss or Stephanie's boss? Hes only in control of that show!

Styles and Jericho vs new day was awesome. Chicago is one of the best wrestling crowds out there. Still am not used to seeing styles in the WWE.

I think that was probably New Day's best tag match, ever. Top stuff.

Raw was ok last night. I think I enjoyed it alot more because of our group chat. I was scared the New Day were gonna drop the belts to the League of Nations, in an attempt to make the League relevant. Thankfully that didn't happen!
