Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has provoked condemnation from across the political spectrum, by saying Muslims should be banned from entering the US. Republicans, Democrats, Muslim leaders, the UN and foreign leaders criticised the call as dangerous and divisive. Mr Trump said many Muslims nursed a "hatred" towards America. He said they should be banned "until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on". His campaign manager said that would apply to "everybody" - would-be immigrants and tourists. But Mr Trump told Fox News it would "not apply to people living in the country", adding that Muslims serving in the US military would "come home". Mr Trump's statement was delivered as the US comes to terms with its deadliest terror attack since 9/11. Last week a Muslim couple, believed to have been radicalised, opened fire and killed 14 people at a health centre in San Bernardino.

The guy is a maniac, he's now said parts of London are so radicalised that the police won't go there. A complete lie. At the start of the year, a Fox News pundit said Birmingham is a Muslim only city and non Muslims don't go there. You can see where he gets his facts from.

45,000 have signed a petition (started this morning) to ban Donald Trump from the UK. Another 55,000 and they will discuss it in parliament.

He took the piss out of a disabled journalist not long ago too. If he ever became president, it'd be such a sad day for the rest of humanity.

Sometimes when I hear him speak, I can't help but think that if you replaced the word Muslim with Jew, he'd sound an awful lot like a Nazi.

It's funny, because he's one of those people who thinks that Muslims are spreading fear... yet that's exactly what he's doing with his hatred for them.
