4CW Presents… Riding The Storm
March 12, 2023
Live from the Allstate Arena, Chicago, Illinois
Phoenix: Welcome, everyone, to this special presentation of 4CW Riding The Storm! We are on the final stretch of the road to Revival, and tonight, the landscape could change dramatically! I’m Scott Phoenix, joined by Ray Jeffrey and James Roberts!
Jeffrey: That’s right, Scott! Tonight we’ve got a main event for the ages as the two biggest rivalries in 4CW collide in one tag team match!
Roberts: And before that, the fiery Seren Mali looks to silence the critics and prove she belongs when she goes one-on-one with the veteran brawler, Jason Crow! Let’s get to it!
”Catch Me If You Can” by BABYMETAL hits the PA system. Seren Mali comes out onto the stage to a warm reception from the Chicago crowd, a look of intense focus on her face.
Carson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Cardiff, Wales, weighing in at 130lbs… SEREN… MALI!!
”Cowboys From Hell” by Pantera follows, met with a chorus of boos. Jason Crow emerges, with his brother Robert following closely behind.
Carson: And her opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Robert Crow, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 260lbs… JASON… CROOOOW!!
Singles Match
Seren Mali vs. Jason Crow w/ Robert Crow
The bell rings and Jason immediately scoffs, waving a dismissive hand at Seren. He turns his back to talk trash to the crowd, and Seren charges, dropkicking him in the back of the knee and sending the big man down to one knee. She follows up with a flurry of kicks to the chest, but Jason shoves her away with brute force.
Jason uses his power advantage to dominate the early minutes, clubbing Seren with heavy forearms and throwing her across the ring. At ringside, Robert is a constant nuisance, grabbing at Seren’s ankle whenever she gets near the ropes, allowing Jason to maintain control with a series of stomps and bodyslams.
Phoenix: This is exactly what we expected. The numbers game is already playing a huge factor.
Seren finally creates an opening, ducking a clothesline and hitting a chop block. She begins to target Jason’s legs, using her speed to stay one step ahead. She hits a dragon screw leg whip that sends Jason hobbling. As he tries to recover, Robert slides a steel chair into the ring. The referee, Anna Molly, sees it immediately and gets in Robert’s face, arguing with him.
Roberts: Robert Crow just tried to change the game, but Anna Molly wasn’t having any of it!
While the referee is distracted, Robert tries to grab Seren from the apron, but Seren turns and superkicks his hands away. Anna Molly, having had enough, points a finger at Robert and forcefully ejects him from ringside! The crowd roars in approval as Robert protests all the way up the ramp.
Jeffrey: Well, so much for that! Now the little spark plug has a fighting chance!
With the odds finally even, a newly confident Seren turns her attention back to Jason. He charges at her, but she sidesteps, sending him shoulder-first into the ring post. As he stumbles out, she hooks his head, looking for her finisher. Jason shoves her off, attempting his Evenflow DDT, but Seren spins out of it, hooks his arms from behind, and drives him face-first into the mat with the Dim Mwg Heb Dan! She hooks the leg for the cover! ONE… TWO… THREE!
Carson: Here is your winner… SEREN… MALI!!
Phoenix: She did it! Seren Mali stood up to the bullies and picked up a massive, hard-fought victory!
Seren celebrates her win as the camera cuts backstage.
The camera finds Bruce Rigg and Garret Fischer in a sparse concrete locker room, in each other’s faces.
Rigg: It was the damn thumbtacks! We had them! You hesitated, and it cost us!
Fischer: I hesitated? You were the one who got taken out and left me high and dry! We're losing because we're not fighting smart anymore! We’re just brawling!
The door opens and Eli Waters walks in. His presence immediately silences them. He paces in front of them, his voice dangerously calm.
Waters: I’ve been listening to you two make excuses for weeks. You lost the Franchise titles. You lost to the Crows. You failed to qualify for Revival. You have forgotten what The Black Flame is about. It’s not just about winning. It’s about dominance. It’s about sending a message.
He stops and stares them both down.
Waters: I have secured you one last chance. Turns out, Lindon Jett tweaked his knee and isn’t cleared so… At the next Storm Front, you will face Umbra Maxima in the final qualifying match for the Tag Team TLC match at Revival. This is it. No more chances. Stop bickering and remember the fire you once had... or I will extinguish it for you. Permanently.
Waters turns and leaves without another word. Rigg and Fischer look at each other, the weight of the ultimatum sinking in.

”Aces High” by Iron Maiden hits the PA system and Tommy Young comes out, his expression all business. The crowd gives him a hero’s welcome. His partner is out next, as ”Spiders on the Wall” by Magnolia Bayou fills the arena. The Universal Champion, Dark Lotus, emerges with his title belt.
Carson: The following contest is our main event of the evening! Introducing first, the team of the 4CW Universal Champion, DARK LOTUS, and "TOP GUN" TOMMY YOUNG!!
”Nocturnal Strains” by Eternal Tears of Sorrow plays, and Madeline Phoenix appears on the stage, a look of cold disdain on her face. Her partner is out next, as ”POSSEZZ” by Owl Vision brings out Jon Viper.
Carson: And their opponents, the team of MADELINE PHOENIX and JON VIPER!!
Main Event - Tag Team Match
"Top Gun" Tommy Young & Dark Lotus vs. Madeline Phoenix & Jon Viper
The bell rings with Young and Phoenix as the legal competitors, but they immediately start brawling, throwing wild punches. Viper and Lotus rush in and it’s an all-out war. The referee, Jason Trent, finally restores some semblance of order, leaving Lotus and Viper in the ring.
The two brothers collide with brutal, stiff strikes. Lotus hits a huge Big Boot, but Viper comes right back with a swinging neckbreaker. They trade power moves, giving the audience a violent preview of their upcoming Hell in a Cell match.
Roberts: This is pure hatred between these two men!
Viper makes a tag to Madeline, who demands Young get in the ring. The heels show surprising chemistry, isolating Young in their corner. They use quick tags and cheap shots, with Viper ruthlessly targeting Young’s back, the same area Madeline brutalized with a chair.
Jeffrey: That’s just smart tag team wrestling! Go after the injury!
After several minutes of a sustained beating, Young creates separation with an enziguri and makes the hot tag to Dark Lotus! Lotus storms the ring, taking down Viper with a sidewalk slam and Madeline with a massive clothesline. He hits a double chokeslam on both opponents and the crowd comes unglued.
The match breaks down. Lotus has Viper up for the Last Ride, but Madeline jumps on his back with a sleeper hold. Young pulls Madeline off and their brawl spills to the outside of the ring. Inside the ring, Lotus recovers and hits Viper with the Count The Lights! He goes for the cover! ONE… TWO… Madeline slides back in and breaks up the pin!
Young runs in and tackles Madeline, and their fight resumes on the outside, crashing into the barricade. The referee’s attention is completely drawn to the brawl on the floor, pleading with them to get back to their corners.
While the ref is distracted, Viper gets to his feet, stumbles over to a recovering Lotus, and kicks him square in the groin. A low blow! Lotus doubles over in agony. Viper hooks his head, lifts him, and drives him into the mat with the Fate Sealer! He makes the cover. The referee turns around, sees the pin, and slides in to count! ONE… TWO… THREE!
Carson: Here are your winners… MADELINE PHOENIX and JON VIPER!!
Phoenix: They stole it! An absolute robbery here tonight!
Viper and Phoenix stand tall in the ring, smirking over their fallen opponents. Viper grabs the Universal Title and holds it over Lotus’s head. Madeline simply blows a mocking kiss towards the furious Tommy Young on the outside. The show ends with the two champions cheated and seething, their resolve to get revenge at Revival now stronger than ever.
