RJ Fisher: Hello there and welcome to another Awesome Fanatic shoot interview! Brought to you by the Awesome Fanatic Company! Sitting behind me here, as you already know, you bought the DVD, is Sery. He's a former 4CW Custom Cup champion and has faced off with many of the greats in 4CW. Hello Sery.
Sery: Hello RJ, glad to be here.
RJ Fisher: Well lets not waste anymore time. What have you been up to since the 4CW isn't around anymore?
Sery: Well you know RJ, I am still wrestling occasionally for independent promotions. I really do miss 4CW, I miss it a hell of a lot. Life just isn't the same with out it.
RJ Fisher: Now towards the end of it all, you would show up occasionally for short bits of time. What was up with that? Didn't get along with management?
Sery: Not it at all. Towards the end there, I had my own stuff going on in my life. Stuff I was doing and habits started to spiral out of control. I'd get these random bursts on motivation to do what I do on the biggest stage. But in the end, I wasn't in the state of mind to really be putting myself into those positions. In the end it hurt everyone around me and made me lose a lot of respect with the rest of the locker room. I don't like to be that guy who's wishy washy. Especially having a fall from grace to where you were a workhorse.
RJ Fisher: You're first big feud in 4CW was with a character called Black Massacre. Why didn't the Sadistic Madness match ever make a return?
Sery: Black Massacre, Ha! I remember that. I was pretty green still, was a good foot in the door for me. But I just remember it being terrible. Didn't really have the urge to bring the match back, a cage with a top and weapons inside seems a bit cliché. If I remember correctly I think Black Massacre went over.. yeah.
RJ Fisher: Now lets jump ahead a bit. You're tag team with Synder. That really put you on the map.
Sery: Yeah I remember one day sitting backstage and just getting this amazng angle and opportunity to work wth this big monster as his tag team partner and eventually get a singles feud with him and be the first one that pinned him. Man I loved that angle, one of my favorite things I ever did there. I remember we had this spot where he would “get mad at me” and he threw me out of the door in a cage match and that is how we won. It was a great angle and we have great matches with [chux] and Roky and The Lords of Salem. Its a shame we couldn't get the tag titles at the time. I think I was still to new to get any of that.
RJ Fisher: That seems kind of forgotten and you two seemed to have been lost in the mix. But there was so much good stuff at that time.
Sery: That's a thing about me. Always seem to be forgotten. But enough about that.
RJ Fisher: Right, You won the Custom Cup championship from I think Roky right?
Sery: True that, I think his special stipulation for all his title matches too was a tables match. I think I beat him with a Seryous Senton Bomb through a table. For those of you who may have forgot, the Custom Cup Champion got to have a special stipulation for every match. Actually when I won the belt, I wish I could take credit for this idea, but I had this wheel which I spun every match and it was a random match. I thought that was great. I can't remember who gave me the idea backstage, [chux] or Carstein maybe?
RJ Fisher: That was a cool idea, it was to bad you didn't get a longer run. After awhile that belt faded away which seems to be a shame. Now my favorite feud of yours was the one with Inferno and the best of 7 series.
Sery: That was an amazing thing for me. I loved working with that dude. He put me over something special too. I think I beat him in an exploding ring match at Revival or something like that. Maybe my only win at Revival. My memories fails me sometimes! But that was just cool, we had a fans bring the weapons match, that was one that really stuck out. Have so much fun in that one.
RJ Fisher: So much more I would love to talk to you about Sery. But quickly. Favorite match?
Sery: My favorite match would have to be Sery vs. Chris Drake. Loved working with him. Shame we never got a program. But the match I had with him for the title was amazing. I came out on the losing end but I ended up looking terrific at the end. The one with Synder where I pinned him at Gallows End was up there too, where we had the lighting structure fall on him!
RJ Fisher: People you wish you could of worked with?
Sery: [chux], always wanted a storyline with him in singles competition. I think Rhysus would have been fun to work with. Always kind of in a weird sort of way looked at him as a rival career wise. But he's done great for himself, It would have been nice to be up there with him. My own fault. Always wished Jon Viper came back too, haha. Sery vs. Snake Pit? Yeah. Gold?
RJ Fisher: Any final thoughts before we wrap this up?
Sery: Uh, well I would like to give a shout out to everyone for all the good memories that they gave me in the past. They all hold a special place in my heart. Its weird to have had such beef with certain people and now look back at that time in my life. I was such a young man then, now looking back, I just squash that beef. Wrestling will always hold a special place in my heart. I don't really seem myself doing it on the level or the schedule that I was doing it at. Such a great place and such unique people.
RJ Fisher: Thanks for joining us Sery! That concludes another edition of our Shoot interview series.
