WWE and Bill Goldberg are now in talks, reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. There has been talk of him doing next year’s WrestleMania in New Orleans, LA. It appears likely they want him to work a match with Ryback.
Goldberg would be 47, but still trains hard and is in good shape and has been open to the idea of doing one big match, plus, there’s always a potential Hall of Fame offer.

Goldberg v Brock Lesnar rematch, 10 years on? 😋

People would have cared about it had it not leaked that both guys were leaving after the match. Plus, I don't think this would be a deal for anything more than a one off at Mania and a Hall of Fame slot. He's old and regardless of how good of shape he is in, WWE is in a transitional period where the smaller guys are getting the runs. Goldberg would be an attraction for one match at Mania but he wouldn't be useful to have a more sustained run.

Good sell. Goldberg has had some not so flattering things to say about Ryback but he did say the dream scenario would be to put him over at WM30. He deserves a HOF. He had a HUGE impact on the business during the Monday Night Wars. I won't be upset if nothing comes from this but it just seems to be setting itself up too well. If Ryback mentions Goldberg by name on Raw, I will know it's happening.

Goldberg was a HUGE part of the wcw war, but he gives me the impression that he values himself way more than he should. i feel like he thinks that he's above wrestling. i'm ok with you walking away and doing something else, just don't shit on the industry that made you... cuz it wasn't football that made him all that money.
