Mordecai is probably my pick though. Such good promos and he turned out to be so shit. So shit that it was completely forgettable and then when you do remember you wish you hadn't. It was like they wanted to have another Undertaker but not give him the push that would be required for it. A ridiculous character like that needs to be pushed strong for it to work. The moment they don't, it won't work and will be dead in the water.
You know, like the obscure stuff that probably only made it to TV once and then never happened again because it was so bad.
Here's a strange one.
Paul Burchill is doing his pirate gimmick. Then out comes Shelly Martinez to be his pirate valet for the match. He previously had Kristal Marshall for a while as his valet but Shelly & Paul are doing the gimmick together in OVW so they bring it to TV. His opponent is the Road Warrior. The new incarnation for Animal after getting rid of Heidenreich. No face paint, different ring gear & bumps like an old man. Although the gimmick never went anywhere & this was Animal's last match before his release. Shelly came back a few months later with Kevin Thorn as Ariel.
