Happy holidays, folks.
If you or someone you know is struggling through this difficult time of year, please don't forget that help is available and that reaching out in even the smallest way could make a world of difference. I know this sort of message is so common nowadays that it basically feels hackneyed, but it's something I feel needs saying and believe me—I know what I'm talking about. Hell, I feel a hypocrite, frankly. But the meaning and sincerity behind my words—and the way I empathize with so many people out there who feel the holidays as a punch to an already beaten gut—remain valid, I hope.
When trying becomes the hardest thing, I encourage you to muster your very last drop of effort into connecting with people who can help. Sometimes, the only visible glimmer of hope comes from without rather than within and that's okay.
Rally yourself and endure. Find the glint of hope and build yourself back up with its warmth.
